The team is flying, the fanbase is united and there's a feeling around the Emirates stadium
that something special is brewing. But to ensure that we stay on track,
let's find out what Arsenal have planned for the January transfer window.
What's William Saliba revealed about his future?
And which rival team is keeping an eye on Gabriel Martinelli?
Yo, what is going on guys? My name is Bahus14, welcome back to your boy's channel and I hope

But getting into all of today's latest Arsenal news,
Arsenal's Brazilian star boy Gabriel Martinelli has been on fire so far this season.
He has 3 goals, he has 1 assist and in that game against Spurs he was once again on top form,
taking it to Emerson Royale and causing him so many issues that as a wise man once said,
it was time to go. And one thing that I love so much about Martinelli
so far this season is his ability to take his man on. In fact, he's the only player to complete
15 plus take-ons and create 15 plus chances in the Premier League so far this season.
Not only is he being more creative than ever, but we are also seeing a physical evolution
of Gabriel Martinelli. In fact, he has completed the most dribbles in the Premier League this
season, with 20 in 28 attempts. His 71.4% success rate is the best of any player in the top 10.
Where we have seen Martinelli take his game to the next level is his ability to play under
contact. It's something that he's definitely learned from Gabriel Jesus, someone who's also
fantastic in that aspect. And he is cooking defenders all across the Premier League so
far this season. And next up, we've got Trent Alexander-Arnold, a player who might have scored
tonight in the Champions League, but in terms of Premier League form, he's not at his best
defensively, so Martinelli vs Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Premier League is going to be interesting.
But in terms of his long-term Arsenal future, as it stands he has two years left on his
Arsenal contract, but Arsenal do have the automatic option to extend by one year.
According to Sammy Mockbell of the Daily Mail, Sportmail understands that they have been
admiring glances at Martinelli from Arsenal's top four rivals in recent months, with Chelsea
being among the clubs believed to be monitoring the 21-year-old. So Chelsea are looking at
Martinelli and I can't be surprised to hear that Todd Bowley, the new Chelsea earner who
seems to think football is as easy as career mode, sees one of the standout young players
in the Premier League in Martinelli and has interest in signing him. But you can keep
admiring all you want Mr Bowley, but you are not going to come anywhere near signing him.
Not only is Martinelli very happy at Arsenal, but as he said back in March 2020,
Arsenal is a giant team. And if I can, I will stay here all my life. I want to conquer things
and win titles with this wonderful crowd and my companions.
This is a guy that has made his intent pretty clear. He wants a long-term future at Arsenal
Football Club and with the way he is playing, the way he is evolving under Mikel Arteta,
with the way he is growing and Arsenal growing, ask yourself the question, why would he want to
leave the Emirates Stadium? And in terms of the player himself, he has been doing a Twitter Q&A
and when asked about the favourite goal he has scored for Arsenal, he replied with a photo of
With all of the recent reports of Chelsea having their interests,
their timing could not be any better and it's not a matter of if he extends his Arsenal contract,
but when he extends his Arsenal contract.
From star boy to star boy, let's talk Bukayo Saka. As Samuel Mockbell says,
there is confidence from Arsenal that a deal for Bukayo Saka to extend his contract
by at least a further three or four years can be struck. A contract which will guarantee him close
to £200,000 a week has been formally offered but yet to be signed. With the way Saka is playing
and the fact that he is so happy at the Emirates Stadium, there is a good reason behind Arsenal's
confidence. But why exactly has Saka not signed it? Well, I believe Saka has a very clever agent
and with all of the interests of the likes of Man City and Liverpool, they will understand the
longer they make Arsenal wait, the more and more bonuses and money they can secure Bukayo Saka.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have been really inflexible on William Saliba,
untouchable despite Olympique Marseille's intention to make an official bid. Saliba
was also in Barcelona's list of the priority target Jules Koundé. When you are the reigning
young French player of the year, it's no surprise that Saliba was a man in demand and so many top
European teams wanted to sign him. In his last appearance in the North London derby,
he locked off Harry Kane and Saliba says, I waited a long time for my first North London derby. I
enjoyed it since the first minute to the end, and now I am so happy. We are so happy to win
at home against Tottenham. It was a hard game, but we were focused all game. We deserved this
win. For him to show that level of elite composure in his first ever North London derby at 21 years
of age, it was yet another example of William Saliba up against a top world-class striker
and who he has completely and utterly dominated. And Saliba says we play against the best players
in the world. It is good for young players like me and I learn a lot. The more we win,
the more we are confident. We want every week to win, to win, to win. That is it. It's a derby
and I like to play in big games like this. And Harry Kane isn't the only striker that Saliba
has utterly shut down. Going back to last season up against the best front three in world football,
Neymar, Mbappé and Messi. And there was that one standout moment where Mbappé was in one-on-one
and Saliba matched him stride for stride and made a perfect last-man-tackle. There is this
one battle that for me is standing out going into the future and that is William Saliba
versus Erling Haaland. Now Haaland is an amazing striker who has 14 league goals and 8 appearances.
He's not real and it's not going to be easy for Arsenal in general, but Saliba versus Haaland,
both players that are physical specimens at 6ft 4 and two of the premier young players in the
world. Do you believe Saliba has what it takes to stop Erling Haaland? But in terms of signing
a new contract to Arsenal, Saliba says, yes we will see. They, the club and my agent talk a little
bit. And before the season, Arteta talked about my last season and explained the project for this
season. So confirmation that Arsenal have been speaking to Saliba's people. And according to
Gary Jacobs, Arsenal have stepped up their efforts to tie down William Saliba to a new contract until
and will offer a significant increase in his £40,000 a week wage to prevent him running
into the final year of his deal, which expires in 2024. There have been quite a few reports that
have claimed that Saliba has already agreed a brand new Arsenal contract. Moving on to transfer
news and according to Samuel Mockbell, Arsenal intend to spend again in January with a new
midfielder on the radar as Arteta and Adu are taking Arsenal's involvement in the Europa League
seriously. And it makes a lot of sense why, because of course, apart from Thomas Partey,
there is a struggle of another top number six at the Emirates Stadium. But at the same time,
Arsenal also have a very good opportunity to make something special happen. Champions League is of
course the priority, but beyond that, if Arsenal can stay there and thereabouts, who's to say that
Arsenal can't have bigger ambitions? This is what makes January so important. If Arsenal can sign
another top quality number six, it could be the perfect catalyst to push Arsenal to the next
level. But who exactly is that midfielder going to be? Now, one player that stands out is Danilo
Oliveira of Palmeiras. A player that Arsenal made a confirmed £20 million offer for in the final
days of the last transfer window. He has been a long-term Arsenal target and a lot of reports
have claimed in Brazil, Palmeiras are going to be open to selling the player in the January transfer
window. Now you can play as a number six and also play as a number eight and at 21 years of age,
there are a lot of fans in Brazil that are very excited about his potential, but I am a little
bit weary. At that sort of age and coming straight out of Brazil, is he ready to go straight into the
Premier League? But in terms of Brazilians that have that Premier League experience and another
player that Arsenal make a late move for, you have Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz. He's still yet to
renew his contract and one can only imagine with the expiring next summer and we could be talking
£10-15 million. I don't think he's going to be Arsenal's number one priority, but with that sort
of price tag and the potential availability, if Arsenal can't sign their first and second targets,
he's definitely a player that Arsenal fans should keep an eye on. But as Mockbell says,
Arsenal intend to spend. One can only be curious how much are Arsenal truly willing to invest?
Because as Arsenal legend Ian Wright says, whatever happens off the back of this season,
if Arsenal do get into the top four, with the players that I know that are probably waiting
waiting for Arsenal to get into the Champions League. It looks like Wrighty has some inside
information of players that are waiting for Arsenal to enter the Champions League,
who those players are, have not been confirmed. But if Arsenal as is to be expected make it into
that competition, it opens up a world of possibilities. And one of your boys personal
preferences of players that I want to see Arsenal sign and someone that's only going to have one
year left on his contract in the summer is West Ham United's Declan Rice. Now he has a vast amount
of Premier League experience and is in the peak of his powers. He's wanted by the likes of Chelsea,
Man United and he would be a very expensive signing. But if Arsenal are in the Champions
League and the amount the Cronkies have already shown, they will invest in Arteta's project.
Maybe as Arsenal fans, we have to dream bigger. Talk to me down below in the comments and who
would be your dream Arsenal midfield target if Arsenal are indeed in the Champions League?
Let's move on and talk about Arsenal's leaders. Yes, you have Martin Odegaard and yes he is the
captain. There are certain other players that are very vocal and also leaders without the armband.
And as said by Sammy Mockbell, Granit Xhaka, armband or no armband, remains one of Arsenal's
lieutenants. Ask many at the club's training HQ and they will tell you that he is the club captain
in all but the name. We have seen a resurgence in Xhaka so much so that he was named the Arsenal
September Player of the Month with a resounding 83% of the votes. But to be a true leader,
you also have to take responsibility. And Xhaka is doing that. According to Sammy Mockbell,
at half-time on Saturday, Xhaka is understood to have apologised for his role in what led
to Tottenham being awarded a first-half penalty. Xhaka failed to clear in the box before Gabriel's
poor tackle. But mistakes are a part of football and in terms of Xhaka's Arsenal career, he has
made quite a few. But there is a key difference now in terms of the mentality of the team,
where instead of blaming others, we take accountability. The Arsenal players only
get better after mistakes. This game being the prime example where after Xhaka made a mistake,
he then goes on and scores the winning goal. And talking of leaders, you also have Gabriel Jesus,
who is seen giving the Arsenal team talk ahead of the Northern Derby. And in terms of his impact
on the pitch, he scored his 5th goal against Tottenham, which means in just 8 appearances,
he has already surpassed Alexandre Lacazette's entire tally from last season. The upgrade has
gargantuan and there's a lot of Man City fans a bit surprised to see how good Jesus has been.
But when comparing him to the other strikers in the league, Jesus has averaged 56 touches per 90,
only behind Roberto Firmino. And he's clearly involved all across the pitch,
but it's also very clear to see he excels on the left-hand side. The difference between
Mikko Arteta and Pep Guardiola is they have given Gabriel Jesus a different amount of freedom.
As Jesus says, the way that Guardiola understands football and what he wanted,
it was up to you to accept it or not. And if not, thank you and let's go for another challenge.
I accepted that for a while, but there came a moment where I said, I want another thing for
myself. Guardiola is an all-time great manager, but he has a very specific style where the style
was often favoured over the players. And as Jesus says, at Man City, the striker didn't touch the
ball that much. You can see this by watching the games. And when it was time to touch the ball,
it was not the striker because Pep ends up putting a midfielder to come closer.
Okay, fine. So I decided to change. If you speak to fans of Brazil and fans that have seen Jesus
during his time at Palmeiras, they are seeing that Jesus now at the Emirates stadium, but not
at Man City. The key difference is that Arteta has given Jesus freedom to roam the pitch. And
that is because Arteta realises that Jesus is too good of a player to just simply have as a number
Alongside the fact that Martinelli also thrives in the middle, that partnership of both Gabriel's
Jesus and Martinelli in total has 12 goals and assists combined in 8 appearances so far this
season. Moving on to the other Arsenal news today, and starting off with another goal for
following Balogun, who has made it 6 league goals in 9 appearances so far this season. That's 6
goals and 2 assists in 550 minutes. A goal contribution every 68.75 minutes. This goal
was a prime example of Balogun's ability to be a fox in a box. And he is up there with the highest
goalscoring players in league with Messi, Mbappe, Neymar. But next season it's going to be very
intriguing to see what Arsenal do. Can he find his way in to this Arsenal first team squad?
Stat time of the day. Arsenal have allowed their opponents fewer shots on targets against them
from open play than any other team in this season's Premier League with 15.
Arsenal in all categories, not just defensively, have levelled up so far this season.
In fact, in this graphic, you've got a comparison of Mikel Arteta's 3 full seasons
as Arsenal manager. And as you can see, every year you are seeing a massive improvement.
With this year, Arsenal being better than ever in terms of goals per 90,
xG, shots per 90, pass completion, key passes per 90 and tackles and interceptions per 90.
What you are seeing is an Arsenal team top of the Premier League,
21 points out of a possible 24 and 7 wins out of a possible 8.
Thierry Henry believes that Arsenal are genuine title contenders,
saying what's nice to see is a team that can compete.
And alongside TT you also have Arsene Wenger, who asked on if Arsenal are title contenders says,
Personally, I would put them just behind Man City,
the second best team to have a good chance to win the Premiership.
Even though Man City are second, I still believe with Haaland and the experience they have,
they are the clear favourites. But in terms of second place,
with Spurs not being too convincing, United at the start of their project,
Chelsea getting a new manager and Liverpool down there mid-table,
the fact that our next game is against them is the perfect time for Arsenal
to showcase to the entire Premier League, at the Emirates Stadium,
that we are going to be that team to take on Man City this season.
