With Mikko Arteta looking to strengthen his midfield, there are quite a few opportunities.
But the one that stands out is Leicester City's Diri Telemans. With just one year
left on his current contract, he's set to leave for a cut price transfer. So let's find out today
how close the Gunners are on potentially completing a summer swoop. Could we see a
surprise move for Frenkie de Jong? What's Gabriel Jesus revealed about his transfer plans? And who
is the Italian striker that reportedly Arsenal have made an offer for?
Yo, what is going on guys, my name is Baus14, welcome back to your boy's channel and I'm
sorry, I'm sorry, I keep disappearing you know, I need to actually be consistent for once in my
life. So the content is back, I hope you enjoy it, if you do smash a like, subscribe to the
channel if you're new and help your brother as we close into 90k, we are literally less than 3,000
old. But let's get into that awful news and starting off with Juri Telemans. We have Martin
Odegaard, we have Thomas Partey but as that left-sided number eight, Xhaka has done pretty
well but he's not quite the profile, the calibre or the quality of player that Arsenal require
to take this project, this team to the next level. So in the pursuit of a brand new midfielder,
Arsenal have been scouring the world and in their search they've been brought to Leicester City.
Juri Telemans is the player we're talking about, a full Belgian international, he's 24 years of age,
just one year left on his current Leicester contract, he is going to leave in the summer
window. So today you have John Cross who confirms that Arsenal are convinced they will complete a
deal for Juri Telemans. Telemans wants to move to Arsenal and the Gunners are likely to offer
£25 million to seal the deal. So a confident John Cross confirms that Arsenal are convinced,
they believe they have what it takes to get this Telemans deal over the line and financially I
don't see why not. The player is not going to be on gargantuan wages and the price tag is only £25
million. But it's also been well reported that Telemans wants to play in the Champions League
and of course unfortunately we are going to be in the Europa League but it seems like the Arsenal
project is coming through here and Juri wants to come to the Emirates. You also have Mr Fabricio
Romano who confirms that Telemans is Arsenal's midfield priority. Arsenal are expected to bid for
Telemans next week unless they change their strategy. Expected fee is 35 to 40 million euros.
The thing that stands out straight away for Juri Telemans is simply that price tag. On top of
that what Arsenal require is a player that hits the ground running straight away and so when you
get a Premier League proven player what you're getting in return is a player that understands
the environment of where he's coming into, that won't need time to adapt to a brand new league or
language. He can come into the Emirates stadium, start straight away, slot in seamlessly but on top
of their technical ability Telemans also strikes me as a pretty clever player. And it's no surprises
now that you have Christoph Theriault confirming that alongside the likes of De Bruyne, Leandro
Trossard, Dries Mertens, Jan Vertonghen and Axel Witsel, Juri Telemans has received his UEFA A
coaching license. So Juri Telemans has got his coaching badges and that just typifies what
Arteta wants in his central midfield. You look at the profiles of a Xhaka and more importantly
a Martin Odegaard. Watching these guys closely on the pitch they're often seen coaching the other
Arsenal players, telling them where to be. It seems to be the profile that Arteta wants in his midfield,
the most important part to link the defence to the attack. He's a manager that likes to be very
precise and sometimes certain players just don't have the IQ to take on board the tactical
information. The fact that Juri Telemans at his age of 24 has a full UEFA A coaching badge is
actually pretty impressive. In so many ways Telemans makes sense but he's not a perfect player.
So what do you guys thought on his transfer? It looks like Arsenal are closing into completing
a deal worth 25 to 30 million pounds. Is this a transfer you are for or are you against it?
But keeping it on the midfield, let's fly over to Catalunya and let's talk FC Barcelona. As
according to the Mirror, Arsenal have interest in signing Frenkie de Jong. First things first,
whether it's the age profile, the player profile, the ability, the potential, Frenkie de Jong is
that guy and if Arsenal could sign him for me it would be an amazing transfer. The rumours are all
starting because as it stands, Barcelona might have to sell de Jong financially. Frenkie de Jong
is going to be an opportunity on the transfer market and I'm not surprised a club like Arsenal
have interest. But unlike a UEFA Telemans, de Jong seems to be convinced that he wants to play in the
Champions League and that's why he seems to have rejected a move to Manchester United. But then
saying that in the past, the player has flirted with signing for Arsenal. As speaking to Vault
Ball in 2019 he says, I actually thought Arsenal was pretty beautiful in the past. In my mind I
had been following the list for a long time, Ajax, Arsenal and Barcelona. I call it the Mark
Overmars route. Frenkie de Jong admits his admiration towards Arsenal Football Club which
isn't a surprise, we are a gargantuan institution. But unfortunately in this scenario, I just don't
see this transfer happening. I think it's kind of unrealistic. But Arsenal might just have the
finances. So my friends, do you think Arsenal can and should sign Frenkie de Jong? According to
reports in Spain, Marco Carrera is one step away from becoming a Manchester City player,
paving the way for Alexander Zinchenko to join Arsenal. This guy is a hybrid left back and
central midfielder and in the midweek, playing for Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier against Scotland,
this guy put in a blastic in central midfield as a left-sided number 8. Utterly dominating
Quarantine Scotland, running the game from minute 1 to 90. It might just be Scotland but in a very
important game to qualify for the World Cup, Zinchenko certainly showed the ability that he
can play as a left-sided number 8. And even according to Manchester Evening News, they claim
that Man City will have to convince Zinchenko he will play more next season if they want to keep
him. Both the player and Man City are considering the situation this summer and Arsenal are thinking
firming up their interest. I think for Arsenal what they see here is a player that isn't just
getting first few minutes at Man City but is also on a pretty low contract. So financially,
Arsenal could attract him even without the Champions League but it is all about the project.
Coming to a top club like Arsenal, a team on the rise, to get a chance to play as a central
midfielder might be something that Zinchenko has massive interest in. And Arsenal do have a history
with the player. As back in 2016, the agent of Zinchenko said, when the player was 17,
Arsene Wenger called me and he asked about him. Wenger saw 20 minutes of him and said,
I need this guy. He wanted him for the first team straight away, not the reserves. But certain
circumstances interfered. So Arsenal have liked Zinchenko for a long, long time and I can see why
Arsenal like him because he's a 2-on-1 type of player. You sign him and you get almost a backup
or even a rotational option for a Kerentini. But as he is also shown for Ukraine time and time again,
he can also operate in the central midfield. And he also wouldn't be overly expensive so,
the more that I think about this, the more this transfer makes so much sense.
Moving on to Arsenal's pursuit for a brand new striker. But before we talk about the future,
we also have to talk about the present and the past and our current number 9 which is
Alexandre Lacazette or should I say our ex number 9. As he is now officially out of contract and
Fabrizio Romano confirms Lacazette has informed Arsenal about Leon's proposal for him and his
intentions to sign for them this week. After 5 years at Arsenal Football Club, Alexandre Lacazette
is on his way out, officially returning to Leon. I wouldn't say his time at Arsenal has been an
outright floppy, he's had his great moments but also for the price tag of £52m, he's never got
Arsenal into the Champions League. But that is all in the past, now let's look to the future.
Arsenal now have that number 9 shirt vacant, who's going to be that next player to take that
shirt and take Arsenal to the next level. But let's start off with the bookie's favourite and
Gabriel Jesus, who's been speaking to the media in Brazil and says, I'm looking for the best
option for my career. I am very calm. I have always been a person who thinks a lot. I am not
going to throw myself into a project that I am not sure and don't know about. The player himself has
also been on fire for his country, scoring a fantastic solo goal. But what he says there is
very important because he's not saying that I need to play in the Champions League, he's not
bothered about the finances, what he's bothered about is the project of the club. But with the
young players that Arsenal have, the finances that Mkhitaryan has had made available. As it stands,
Arsenal still remain one of the most exciting potential projects across Europe. To once again
reunite with Michael Arteta, a person that he's worked with in the past, it looks like the project
of Arsenal has convinced Jesus and in my opinion, I think this transfer is going to happen unless
Arsenal change their strategy. The Athletic have also confirmed that Jesus is Arsenal's main target
as a striker. But Tammy Abraham, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Victor Osman, Lautaro Martinez and
have also been discussed by Edu and Arteta. The likes of Abraham, Osman, Calvert-Lewin are all
players we've discussed in detail in the past. In Lautaro Martinez, he's a player that your boy
actually got to watch live in the flesh midweek as Argentina beat Italy in the finalismo. Mainly
there to watch the goal Lionel Messi but in that game, Martinez was pretty impressive. His hold of
play was pretty nice and he also scored a goal. But ultimately, I just don't see Arsenal signing
him and that's because with the brand new contract he's just signed, the price tag, I don't think
Inter Milan are going to sell. But keeping it in this area, what about Juan Lucas Scamacca?
And according to Alfredo Padula, Arsenal have made an offer for Juan Lucas Scamacca,
with the player evaluating his future. The profile of Scamacca really intrigues me so much,
6 foot 5 frame, very decent turn of pace, insane ball striking that I'd say would be the best player
on the market that Arsenal could sign in their departments. The price tag wouldn't be overly
expensive and at 23 years of age, the profile does suit what Arsenal require. But unfortunately,
there just seems to be a big issue and that is as Arsenal fans know so well, with Manuel Locatelli
and even Dusan Vlavic, players that play in this area like to remain in this area, especially
players that are Italian. So as much as I like the profile of Scamacca and would take him at
Arsenal Football Club, it might just be the PTSD from the Locatelli sagas and Vlavic,
but I just don't see Arsenal getting Juan Lucas Scamacca out of this area.
Moving it on to the goalkeepers as according to ex Watford goalkeeper and now free agent
Ben Foster, he says on his podcast he would like to sign for Arsenal and be a number 2 to Aaron
Ramsdale. This rumour was made by the player who kind of announced it to the world that he likes
Arsenal, wants to come to Arsenal and be the number 2 to Aaron Ramsdale. The player is a free agent so
Arsenal could make it happen but at 40 years of age, with all due respect Ben, I just don't see
that Arsenal have already signed Matt Turner as their brand new number 2. I just don't see why
Arsenal would sign Ben Foster, unless of course they want a vlogger behind the scenes, which if
that is the case then Arsenal, I'm also available so sign your boy up instead. But let's move on to
the other Arsenal news today and starting off with our star boys, Saka and Emil Smith-Rowe who have
had pretty decent seasons in the Premier League and have now been nominated for the 2021-22 PFA
Young Player of the Year. That for me is fully deserved, Smith-Rowe himself kind of fell off a
cliff in the second half of the season but the first half he was electrifying. But the main
guy there and there for me is Bukayo Saka, 11 goals, 7 assists, 18 goal contributions. Yes you
got Phil Foden, Rhys James and other great young players but in my humble opinion there are no
doubts, Bukayo Saka deserves to be the PFA Young Player of the Year. According to the Sao Paulo
director of football he says, Edu Gaspar told us he knew that Marquinhos could leave for free,
but he would still seek resources to pay Sao Paulo 3.5 million euros because he wants to have a
strong relationship with Sao Paulo in the future. The partnership will bring Arsenal and Sao Paulo
closer and will eventually be able to bring younger players from Sao Paulo to Arsenal. We've
spoken about this in the past but Arsenal now are looking to establish a relationship. There are some
superstars that come out of Brazil so for Arsenal to establish that connection with Sao Paulo, a
massive club in Brazil, for the price to go just 3.5 million euros for what you could be getting
in the future, it could be one of the most important transfers for the future of Arsenal
Football Club. And finally we have an interview from Quirin Tini. I'm a terrible spectator,
not being able to do anything to help the team, I hate it. My target is to be back for the end
of June and at the start of pre-season at Arsenal. I'm on course for that and my rehab is going well.
The player is on course for an early return which is things you love to hear and I have no doubts
Quirin Tini can still be a very important part for Arsenal's future. But I hate to say it but over
the course of his Arsenal career and even his time at Celtic, Quirin Tini has proven to be a pretty
injury prone player. So for an Arsenal team that needs stability at the back and reliability,
whether it's just unfortunate or maybe even a bigger underlying issue, talk to me about your
honest thoughts on Quirin Tini and do you believe that he is a player that Arsenal can rely upon
going into the long term future. But that is the video there so hopefully you guys have enjoyed
and if you have make sure to go down there to smash a like to also subscribe if you are new.
If you would like to follow your boy on all of those social medias,
then the links will be down below in the description. But that was all of today's
latest Arsenal news and now going into the future, Gabriel Jesus, Yuri Tielemans and
maybe even an update on a certain Serge Gnabry, we're gonna have to wait and see.
So stay tuned and see you later in a bit.
