Today I am visiting Star Wars, Galaxy's Edge, and I'm going to give you my top six must-do's
when you happen to find yourself at the edge of the galaxy.
This is Top 6, Party Time, Excellent!
Your first must-do, just slow down, walk around, enjoy the sights and the sounds of Galaxy's
Edge.
Maybe get yourself one of those Coca-Cola's and one of those detonator bottles and enjoy
the look and feel of the area.
There is so much to see in this area and hear.
Don't just sense things with your eyes, use your ears as well.
Too often when we're at Disney World, we're a bit rushed.
You know, we've paid a lot for this vacation, we're trying to get our money's worth, so
we're rushing around, trying to get to the next fast pass, trying to get to your boarding
group in time, and we miss a lot of detail.
I invite you to just, when you visit Galaxy's Edge, take some time just to wander the area,
relax, and take in all that it has to offer.
And who knows, maybe you'll run across one of your favorite Star Wars characters while
you're moseying around the park.
But beware, the First Order is always lurking about.
Take some time to enjoy the details and the nuances of Galaxy's Edge, you'll be glad that
you did.
And the second thing on our must-do list, and by the way, this is not in any order,
I'm not saying number one is better than number six, this is just a list of six, but the second
thing on today's list is to ride Rise of the Resistance.
In order to ride Rise of the Resistance, you must get a boarding pass.
You must have a reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios, and you need to go on the My Disney
Experience app, get yourself a boarding pass.
Now at the time I'm recording this video, they are offering boarding passes at 7 a.m.
and 1 p.m.
At the 7 a.m. time frame, you can get a boarding pass from anywhere, just as long as you have
a reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Now for the 1 p.m. boarding pass, you must be inside of Disney's Hollywood Studios already
before you can sign up for that boarding pass.
And again, the best way to get a boarding pass is through the My Disney Experience app
that you can get from the App Store.
Item number three on today's list is to visit Savvy's Workshop.
Build yourself a lightsaber or a droid.
Now to build your own droid, it is $100.
They do offer an upgrade.
The upgrade would include a backpack to carry your droid in, and a personality chip.
And to include the upgrade, it would cost you $164.
Now if you don't get the personality chip, the voice of your droid will sound like BB-8
or R2-D2.
If you get the personality chip, the voice of your droid will change to some random voice
of a droid within the Star Wars galaxy.
When it comes to Savvy's Workshop, they do have a standby line where you can just walk
up and stand and wait in line.
But it is recommended, especially during busy seasons, that you make an appointment to build
your droid or your lightsaber.
And when it comes to this droid depot, just check out the conveyor belt and everything
moving in here.
I could just stand here for at least an hour and watch the conveyor belt go by and watch
people build their droids.
And as far as a lightsaber is concerned, do they have yellow lightsabers?
Would I be the first person to wield a yellow lightsaber?
False to ponder.
Item number four on today's list, try the Star Wars milk.
Here are my two milks.
I got the blue one, I got the green one.
Each milk is around $8.
My total for the two, $17 and some change.
But I think I'm going to go with the blue one first.
It is the more classic milk, the one from the original movie.
So let's give it a taste first.
So the first thing you need to know, it's not exactly a liquid.
It's more like a slushie.
So you want me to describe the taste?
I really can't do it.
I mean, I want to say blueberry, but that might just be because the drink is blue.
You'll have to try it when you hear.
I really can't describe it.
And now to try the green one, which I've never tried before.
Well, down the hatch as they say.
Okay, I've had a few sips of the green one.
I do not like it at all.
Between the two, like the blue, I do enjoy.
This green one, ooh, this is a no go.
Do not try the green.
Go blue.
The green one went into the trash after three sips.
I'm going to finish my blue one though.
If you wait long enough, because of the Florida heat, it becomes less like a slushie and really
more like blue milk.
Item number five on today's list, pilot this hunk of junk.
They call it the Millennium Falcon.
I have a bad feeling about this.
The Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run is just 40 minutes at the moment.
So I'll think we'll hop in line and show you some POV of me flying this hunk of junk.
Could someone be shipping big and round cars?
That can't be legal.
Hello, hello.
I am Hondo Onaka, and this is Onaka Transport Solutions.
Today, I am offering...
Come closer, come closer.
Ah, a brand new flight crew.
Good luck to you all.
You might need it.
For item number five, I specifically said to pilot the Millennium Falcon.
There's a few different roles you can have on this ride.
One is to be the pilot.
There's two different pilots.
One pilot steers the Falcon left or right.
The other steers it up and down.
And then you have the gunners.
Now, it's pretty fun to be the gunners because it's always fun to blast stuff.
And then lastly, you have the engineers.
If you get the option, choose to pilot or the gunners.
Those are the most fun.
Let's pilot.
Hit the boosters.
Boost, boost, boost.
We made it.
Well, a fun time as always to pilot that Millennium Falcon.
Item number six on today's list of must-do's at Galaxy's Edge,
eat at Docking Bay 7.
Walt Disney World has really upped its game as far as quick service restaurants go.
Docking Bay 7 is one of the best quick service restaurants
you'll experience in any theme park around the world.
Everything on the menu is awesome, delicious.
I personally recommend the pot roast.
And for dessert, you have to.
You 100% have to have the Batuban chocolate mousse dessert.
It is so good, you will not regret it.
But like I said, you cannot go wrong with anything on this menu.
The ribs are great.
Heck, even the salad is amazing.
So even if your main destination at Disney's Hollywood Studios is not Galaxy's Edge,
treat yourself to a casual dinner or lunch at Docking Bay 7.
There you go, Rick's top six for visiting Galaxy's Edge.
