How's it going guys it's Rocket Rider. I've been waiting
for a month for this package to come. It's a package from Warrior. We're going to
crack this open see what's inside. If you guys like this

That's right guys this is the unreleased Warrior Covert
QR Edge stick. They also sent me a hat and some tape here. So I'm gonna get this
hat on here and take a better look at this stick.
Now that's one good looking stick. Now when it comes down to specifics I went
with the Backstrom Curve and 85 flex and I went with the gripped
version. You can also get it ungripped but I prefer a gripped stick.
Now I know one of the big questions that people are going to have is how much
does the stick weigh and well really I don't have anything
here at the house to weigh the stick but I do have an idea.
All right guys so I'm at my local grocer let's see if we can get this thing
weighed. The official weigh-in. What do you got there?
Can you see it? Coming up in a bow. What do you think? That's like 400 grams.
What do you think? All right guys so I think it's a bow
somewhere around 400 grams. All right let's get out of here.
Now that we've got the weight out of the way let's talk about some of the
technology in this stick and the biggest change coming is the
edge taper design. Now to a lot of people that's not going
to mean anything so let me explain. In this image you can see we have three
different sticks. The Warrior Alpha Evo Pro, the CCM
Rib Core Trigger and the Warrior Covert QR
Edge. Now the biggest difference that you'll notice is in the Warrior Covert
QR Edge. With the new edge taper about two
thirds of the way down the shaft it begins to narrow.
Warrior says that this new design pushes more flex energy through the stick while
also quickening the release. Warrior also says this new geometry will
create more stability and better responsiveness.
They'll also be using the True One Phantom technology for a true
one-piece constructed stick as well as the Minimus Carbon 1200.
An ultra thin and lightweight carbon composite
which improves overall construction and balance of the stick.
Now all that stuff's great but the true test is on ice performance.
So why don't I get this thing taped up. I got a game tonight so let's hit the ring.
All right boys a little Warrior Covert QR Edge
on ice here. Let's see how this bad boy is.
He's like a good good snap. Let's see how he goes.
Look at that good feel with the passes boys. Good deal.
All right boys so it's feeling good taking some corners.
I hope you guys enjoyed a bit of that on ice footage. I'll also be posting full
gameplay videos with the stick as well as some off-ice shooting videos so make
sure you subscribe if you want to see those.
Overall I really enjoyed the stick. It's incredibly lightweight and I think it's
going to be my go-to stick for the rest of the season.
So if you'd like to pick up the Warrior Covert QR Edge it'll be
in stores around mid-July. I hope you guys enjoyed this review and
we'll see you on the ice.
