2017 Ford F150 Lariat Super Crew Sport FX4 502A Detailed Walk Around

Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this video. My name is Christopher and today we're going to be looking at the 2017 Ford F-150 Lariat FX4. Don't forget we're right outside of Mike Knott Ford 607 Niagara Street in Welland, Ontario. Can't wait to show you this truck. Nothing to it but to do it. So let's get to it. So this one includes the FX4 off-road package. It's a little different from the 2014 or 2013 FX4 package. This is specifically for off-road users. What it comes with is the electronic locking rear axle. It's also going to include your off-road tuned front and rear shock absorbers, your transfer case, and your front differential skid plates. So perfect for going in the mud and taking this puppy on the off-road. You can see it does come with the Bliss blind and lane information system. So if someone's in your blind spot it's going to indicate with an orange light right on the mirror there and let you know not to change lanes. You also get Ford's signature key pass system right on the door and it is an intelligent smart key so you can just put your hand right on the button there and it's going to open up and unlock. To help you get into the vehicle we do have these nice running boards done with the glass black making it a lot easier to get in. So the FX4 is riding on the six-spoke premium painted aluminum alloy wheels. That comes with the sport package and it's going to come with your Honda tires which we fill with nitrogen. So as we look at the front of the Lariat this one is the 502a package so normally it would come with the chrome front grille and the chrome front bumper. This one includes the sport package which gives you the black matching bumper and this three bar grille that you can see right in the front and it comes with the black meshing throughout. With the sport you really do away from the chrome and you get the black tow hooks as well and as you can see our led fog lights are down below and over here is the black heater. So this one comes with the high intensity led quad beam headlights. It's going to give you some added visibility and it looks great as you're driving down the road. So moving on to the rear of the Lariat as you can see being the sport you also get the back matching front bumpers. This one does come with your backup camera right below the handle here. It is a power tailgate so you just need to release it there and it's going to come down. You can also release it with the touch of a button right on the key. Let me show you that again. As you see it comes down very easy and then I have the tailgate step. This is the generation tailgate step and I can pull it out and easily get into the bed of the truck and then it folds up nice and easy there. Moving on as you can see we do have our trailer connection below here. This one already has the hitch installed here as we're using this one as a demo but it does come already with your Ford factory tow hitch and it's going to tow up to 11,000 pounds. You also have your rear sensors right on the back which is going to help for backing up and parking. On this specific one we also put on this nice tunnel cover. It is a tri-fold tunnel cover which is going to increase your gas mileage, allow people not to see what you have in in your bed and it's very easy to use. It just unclips at the bottom here as you can see and then I can fold it up. We also added to this one the Ford drop-in bed liner. As you can see it's just going to protect your bed giving a little bit more durability and you do have all your spots still for your tie down hooks. As you can see we do have the four locking cleats here and of course they can't block the LED signature lighting there which is going to help if you're reaching in the back with the tunnel cover or you're doing some jobs at night you do have the LED cargo lighting which is going to give you more visibility. So let's check out the power plant. As you can see it does have the automatic hood there. So this one is the five liter v8 so they didn't make any changes. This is Ford's tried and true engine. It's going to give you a horsepower about 385 pounds and 387 pounds feet of torque. The max payload in the back is around 3,200 pounds and you're going to be able to tow up to 11,100 pounds. So great for towing. The five liter gives you nice low-end torque that you need to kind of launch out of boat ramps and things like that. It's going to give you a fuel consumption rating at around 10.6 liters per every 100 kilometers on the highway. And don't forget it's going to come with Ford standard warranty. It's a three-year 60,000 bumper to bumper warranty, five-year 100 for your powertrain and five-year roadside assistance as well. So let's unlock this Lariat and take a look at the inside. On this 502A you have the lock and unlock right on the key. It also comes with the remote starter. Like I mentioned the lift gate release and your panic button. You also get a spare key because it has a lockable glove box and center console so you can unlock it. Let's take a look at the inside. So right on the inside of the door we obviously have our four window controls, our mirror adjustments. There are foldable mirrors so you can just press the button here and they fold in. As you can see it's going to help if you're in a tight parking spot or have a tight garage. Down below you can see we do have the three memory positions for our driver's seat. So if you have multiple drivers they don't need to adjust the seat every time they can just punch their memory position in there. Okay let's take a look at the seat here. This one does come with this gorgeous black leather interior. It is a perforated leather and it's going to come with the heated and air-conditioned front seats and it is a 10-way adjustable driver's seat. Like I mentioned you have up to three memory positions. The wheel is also power adjustable which syncs up with your memory positions. As you can see I can adjust it right here and then I have my automatic headlights and my fog light controls and my adjustable pedals right down below. So moving on to the interior of the Lariat. As you can see we do have the SYNC 3 enhanced voice recognition system. I'm a big fan of this software. It was made by BlackBerry brand new. I have another video about it where I go into detail of how you can control the radio, the nav, the climate controls and your cell phone. Check out that other video for more details. I'm not going to get into it today but you can see it's very vivid right on the screen there or you can just use the regular radio controls down below. Right above the screen we have our hill descent controls, our traction controls and our four-way flashers. Another feature that you and the wipers will adjust their speed as the rain is coming. So with the Lariat you also get the upgraded Sony sound system. It sounds phenomenal and with the six-month free satellite radio that Ford gives you, you can't go wrong. So you can use the touchscreen for the heating controls or you can use the regular controls right down below. It does come with the automatic climate control, something that you get when you step up into the Lariat and it's dual climate control. So each passenger can control their own heating and have it separate, saving marriages for a long time. And our heated seat and air conditioned seats are right down below here. Perfect for the winter or if the leather gets hot in the summer you do have the heated seats. In the center stack here comes with this nice glossy graphite cover and then I can open it up for a spot for my business cards or pens. And there's two illuminated USB ports here for me to charge my phone. With this Sport package, not only do you get the exterior features but you also get this nice center console and the shifter right here as opposed to on the wheel. So very easy right on the wheel here and then I do have the power shift buttons right on this leather wrapped shifter knob where I can select my gears when using the tow mode or the sport mode. In the center console, it's a very deep center console as you can see. I can fit a ton of stuff in here and there's spot for your change and golf tees, everything that you need can fit in the center console. So the steering wheel is a heated leather wrapped steering wheel, great for the winter time and all our controls are right here. You can see I have my cell phone controls right on the steering wheel, my cruise control and these are my radio controls. I can control the volume and the mode right from the wheel. Valeria also comes with this nice large vehicle information screen which is going to do things like your fuel consumption, your my key functions, your navigation functions, tire pressure monitor, digital speedometer. There's all different features you can display and will give you towing information based on your trailer, your off-road status being the FX4 package. It does come with a lot of features. Here you can adjust some of the driver assist functions like the blind spot warning or the backup assistance. Also going to come with a trailer blind spot warning. So the blind spot warning can extend as you can see the trailer blist there to show you if anything's in the blind spot of your trailer because that's the hardest thing when you're driving a trailer is checking the blind spots. In the Valeria you also get the automatic 4x4 as you can see here or I can just go to the 4H or the 4LOW. I can pull it out for to activate the electronic rear axle and then I do have the trailer backup assist which is very cool, very innovative from Ford. It's going to help when you're backing up and your brake controller is already equipped. So like I said up to 11,000 pounds and you have all your hookups ready to go. The Lariat also comes with the push button start so I just need to have the key in the proximity of the vehicle and I just push the button to start it up. So optional on this Lariat package, it doesn't come standard, this is an option. You can get the power twin panel moonroof there and as you can see it's very large and lets a lot of light into the vehicle and opens up just with a touch of a button and I can stop it at any time. If you don't like the sunroof it does have a pretty large shade that goes all the way from the back and is also power operated and I can also stop it at any time. It's going to just cover it right up there. Okay so when you go up you do get the power sliding rear window and it does have the defrost back there to add to your visibility in the winter time. So this one being the crew cab there is a ton of space in the back. Obviously we have the black leather continuing throughout and we do have an elbow rest there and some cup holders if we go through the drive-through. You can also fold the seats up if you have those large items that you need to fit in the back here and it is a flat rear cargo area so you can put all your items in no problem. As you can see I have a ton of space and if I'm on a long road trip in the back here I have my two usbs where I can charge my devices and there's a 110 volt inverter as well. Both seats are heated in the back here so there's everything your passengers need back here for other devices and for them to be very comfortable.
