Chasing the NORTHERN LIGHTS in Tromsø ｜ vlog #77

Good morning and welcome to a new day here in Tromso. It's our second full day. Yesterday night we had a bit of an exciting night because we went on a Aurora safari camp with Best Arctic. We have several activities planned with them and we also have a couple of nights where the activities is to chase northern lights to see if we can see the northern lights. I am really expecting to see like really good and moving ones you know like the ones where you see them with your own eyes. Yesterday night we went on the Aurora safari camp and Best Arctic gave us a discount code. So basically we left the hotel around six yesterday. We went on a really big bus and drove around 50 minutes outside of the city and we reached like a house that had like a really cozy really like Norwegian vibe and that's the cool thing about this trip is because you don't need to be outside like hours and hours waiting for the northern lights to happen because it's not like they are there all the time. They can come and go or they can come just like for a few minutes. It's really nice that they have this camp where you can stay inside, have a little coffee, little tea, eat something, make some friends. They help you a lot with the camera definitions if you want to take photos of the Aurora. We had a really cloudy day like we were mostly sure we wouldn't see anything and then the guide came in and said like quick guys quick guys there's northern lights outside and we all ran outside with the cameras. It was so fast, they didn't last so long although they were short. It happened, we saw them and tonight we are going to try again. We are going on another tour also with Best Arctic. Meanwhile during the day we have like some free time so we are going to look around, just try to see the city, see some architecture and yeah I will take you guys with me. Area of Tromso with all the new buildings close to the fjord and I've just found where I want to live if I would live here. Look at those little houses with like a private beach in front. It's so cute but yeah you see this is this is like the area they're building lots of new apartment and housing. Hello hello, I feel like every time I talk to you guys I'm in this spot. We stroll around the city center, the weather was not the best but we saw a bit of architecture and went in on a couple of stores, had a really nice lunch and then around six o'clock we went on another tour with Best Arctic. They organized a tour for us called Northern Lights Mini Bus Safari and basically it's a bit the same concept of chasing the northern lights but instead of going on a big bus to a camp where we can stay inside this one you go on a smaller bus, a minibus and the thing about it is that the minibus can go further away, can move so if the northern lights move or change place they can just follow it and literally chase the northern lights with the minibus. We were very worried yesterday or at least I can say that we had 100% sure that we wouldn't see the northern lights because it was so cloudy and it was raining a lot like a lot the weather looked horrible. As soon as we entered the guide said that since the weather is so bad here in Tromsø we are going to drive like two hours and a half to Finland just to see the northern lights. I really thought we wouldn't see anything and then after a long drive they parked on like in the middle of nowhere basically and there was like a little opening and as soon as we left the bus and looked up like they started, the lights just started and it was definitely the strongest and longest aurora I've seen and it's one of those things that you don't need a camera even, you just look with your own eyes and you see it like green, pink, moving.
