Embroidered Flowers- Part 5 - Lavender: Learn my technique for embroidered lavender
So the last flower I'm going to stitch is the lavender. I have chosen to do it without a stem
but of course in real life lavender has a stem so feel free to do that if you want.
So I'm using my size 9 needle again but I'm using three strands of floss and I'm just going to make
little satin stitches together, about three of them, and then I'm going to jump up a little
higher just following my drawing here and do three more and they're just sort of touching
at the top there and I'm going to jump up and do three more but I'm going to try to keep the shape
just a tiny bit smaller so your stitches aren't quite as long and then jumping up again we're
still doing three but just trying to keep it even a tiny bit smaller than the one previous
and at this point I'm going to start doing just two stitches the idea being that it gets
smaller and smaller as you go up and then two more and then at the end here I'm just going to do one
but I might go over top of it yeah I think I will so it's one thick one and there's our first little
lavender and I'm just going to do the exact same thing for the next one so we're starting with
three at the largest point in the flower just getting a teeny bit smaller with my stitches
and one more triple switch it to two and then the last one I'll just again do one
and I'll probably well actually I think it's big enough so there you go there's how I do lavender
now that we're done the actual stitching part I'm going to just show you how to get rid of
the blue marker so I've just wet some toilet paper and I'm just going to dab at it and
it's pretty cool it just disappears and you cannot damage your work or anything by wetting it
so don't worry about that sometimes after it dries a little bit of the blue will return
and you just have to repeat this process but as you can see it comes off really really easy
and once you feel like you have all the blue off you set it to dry and there you go
