DİKİŞ MAKİNESİ ARIZALARI VE ÇÖZÜMLERİ _ Adım Adım Dikiş Dersleri 8
Hello everyone welcome back I'm Damla
Today I'm sharing the 8th part of our step-by-step sewing lessons with you
Click here to read the text that appears from here if you want to watch the other lessons
It will be more beneficial for you to start watching from the beginning
Today's topic will be the problems we are experiencing with our sewing machine and their solutions
You might find it difficult to understand what the machine is saying because you haven't fully gotten used to it yet
This is completely normal
I thought it would be helpful for you to see these solutions together
Now if you like let's start right away
First of all I would like to say that 80% of our machine errors are caused by us incorrectly installing the cables
I would like to start with the thing I have encountered the most and also experienced the most
Why does your thread start to gather downward while sewing and how do we fix it
I adjusted my fingers this way and I don't think there's a problem
Let's see if there really isn't a problem
I placed it this way
I am writing
There's already a problem with the machine's sound You may have
noticed it's making a clattering
noise Let's see what's happened
As you can see the machine has continuously gathered thread at the bottom and also torn the thread
What is the reason for this
The reason my machine gathers thread underneath like this is because it's my fourth step
The problem comes from not passing the thread from the rooster in the machine
This part is a bit inward
You may not even be aware of its existence when you start
You might not have noticed or realized that it was just a passing moment
This is a very common mistake
If you are experiencing a cable tangling problem this is the first place you should check and inspect
I rethreaded my needle through the rooster's feather and am sewing again
Let's see if it's worked
As you can see there was no problem with the machine's sound and no problem with the stitching
Look at the stitching below
I don't know if you noticed but I used the tips I showed you in the previous lesson when I started sewing
I will add it to the video description if you
didn't watch the lesson From there you can watch it
There is another problem that is not well known or noticed when starting out
When attaching our hook to the hook holder the string coming out of this window should be on the left
Then we need to make sure we don't just take it like this and put it on
We need to attach it to the left side that is in the opposite direction of this arrow's slant and then place it into the machine
Please pay attention
If you let the thread go to the right instead of the left while winding the bobbin you will experience a jam when pulling the thread up here
I have now taken my thread to the left
I even raise it upwards
Let's see if everything is good
I'm starting to write
My foot looks like this
As you can see there is a similar bulge on the bottom
We can see that the upper thread is coming up from the bottom
That is there was not even a single strong and beautiful stitch
What is the reason for this
The reason is that the screw in our mechanism here has become loose
This is happening a lot in new machines
That is I usually encounter this problem constantly when I first get my machines
After using it a bit I think the rust is starting to appear here
I don't know what it is but this problem gets better over time
The rope is slipping out very quickly without me having to apply any force as you can see
You shouldn't let go of the rope like that
You can see the rope coming out of that window
And this connection point here is also attached to that bolt
When we gently twist it a screwdriver already comes out from inside the machine
We are squeezing our way through in small steps
If you pull too hard you may experience a broken thread or tension issues with the lower thread this time
When I pull it with my hand I neither strain it too much nor can I tie the thread to my machine when it becomes soft enough
Let's try it right away and see if our problem is solved
The difference between the two stitches is quite clear to me
From the back as well as the front
We never forget to tighten the bolt next to our window if you are experiencing such a problem
Another mistake we make when starting again is passing our top thread over the part where we need to wind the thread for the bobbin
Of course if it's the first time we use a sewing machine we might not immediately know where to put this or where to attach that
This is a very normal situation Please make sure to
watch the instructional videos when you get your sewing machine
So I'm doing my best but since it's not possible for every machine to be pulled there is definitely an introduction video for your own machine
I recommend you take a look
Of course in addition to our promotional videos we also have arrows and numbers on our machines that guide you
For example it goes like this the second step
The previous step was the first step and here when we put on the upper thread the first thing we need to do is pass our thread through this eye
There is also a double in here
When we think about it a bit we can understand that this part is for weaving
We start by threading the first step which is the notch
You gave a direction saying that you then turn the thread from here
Of course we might not pay attention to this when starting something new
Because we are very excited and want to do something as soon as possible
And let's say we looped our rope around the peg here
Let's see what kind of problem will come up
Now that my fabric is very smooth it might not show much but I can feel it
I experienced a slight tightening in this part as well
That is the tension in the thread has become incredibly high
I really feel the stiffness and tension of the thread when I touch the fabric like that
I adjusted my blood pressure according to the fabric
Although the blood pressure issue was very difficult I managed to do it
By winding our rope around the places where we need to we can unintentionally increase the tension for those who say it's not working
I have solved all the problems related to the thread
And I sewed with my machine
I'm sewing but my machine is stitching very poorly
And it's skipping stitches quite often
What is the reason for this and how can it be fixed
If there is a skipping stitch problem it is usually related to the needle
Look I've put the needle on the tip
That is I haven't pushed it all the way down and tightened it like that
That's why the needle was bent during or before the stitching
Needles can cause problems if they are crooked or not properly placed
I am loosening the screw that my needle is attached to and removing my needle
Then I turn the straight part of my needle which is written so that it faces the back of the machine
And I place it back in place
I want you to focus on this part right now
I'm pushing the needle in until it shows on the buttocks
I saw her ass
I'm taking it all the way to the end
And I squeeze it that way
Be careful not to get too tired
Let it relax and slide down
If there's no curvature in my needle meaning it hasn't bent when hitting the right or left side of the machine it will sit straight once placed like this
We will have solved our problem this way
I put the needle in the thread
I am leaving
As you can see unlike the one above it didn't skip any stitches
And it also didn't flatten the fabric
He sewed it very normally and properly
In other words we can solve the problem of our needle skipping stitches this way
I am confident that I have correctly gone through all the steps
There is no problem with my meki
The tension settings the thread is properly placed everything is good
I placed my needle straight and properly
What will our current problem be
I am taking the fabric
And I am starting my sewing immediately
Have you seen it
The thread broke I have never been brand-obsessed about anything in my life
I'm not saying this brand or that brand is better
There is one topic and that is the sewing machine topic
If your machine is a Singer choose Singer needles
Because the machine really wants its own brand needle
I had once not been able to find a Singer needle
I had a very urgent task to do
Later I saw a package of these sewing machine needles for 1 lira or something in a cheap market
We said "Let's take what we can lose "
But all the needles are broken
Seriously broken
If your thread is breaking your needle may be of poor quality
Or it may be damaged
Because after using them for a while the needles are now going past the instructions
If there were a tiny protrusion in these delicate areas meaning the iron bent slightly there
Because our thread is already very fine it breaks during sewing
There could be errors in many other places of the needle of course
I just provided an example of one
So if your thread was snapped rather than stretched
and broken this is definitely due to the needle
I recommend that you change your needle
If your line is snapping due to tension it should have something to do with the tension settings
I just removed my old needle and am putting in Singer's needle now on my machine
I threaded my thread through the needle after putting on the singer's needle
And I am sewing again
As you can see my thread never had any breaking problem
And my stitching continued quite normally
When it comes to our other problem let's see what we'll experience while sewing this thick fabric
I hope nothing bad happens to us
I was exactly talking about this
By the way this is a very dangerous thing
It can cause a lot of damage to your machine and might even get into your eye God forbid
If you need to sew a thick fabric and you haven't changed your needle
If you are using a needle suitable for sewing fine fabrics or the medium weight fabrics I mentioned
Probably your needle can break in this way especially when backstitching
We need to choose our needles according to the thickness of our fabric
What needles should be used for stretch fabrics thick fabrics crepe thin and silk fabrics
I can make such a video if you like
I would be happy if you leave your comments
We need to make sure that the thickness of the fabric and the needle we use are also compatible with each other
Otherwise our needle could become broken
As I said this is not just the needle breaking
It does a lot of damage to the machine
We are experiencing all kinds of damage because we are making a movement that goes against the machine's operating mechanism in other words a forceful movement
Outside of that the bottom part of our foot has always been full of holes
The needle is struggling and bending as it goes through the fabric
It gets all torn up there especially because it hits the iron at that point
You are causing all kinds of damage to your machine
Even if you haven't harmed yourself
You need to be very careful with needle selection for them
These were the problems I specifically experienced when I first started
I hope this video has been helpful for you
