How Do You Afford To Travel Full Time?

After a year of living in Arizona it's finally time to hit the road
and one of the things that I had to do was give up my rental house
and so here's all the stuff stored here. Now I don't have a bunch of stuff. Years
ago when I decided to be a nomad and live my life on the road
I sold my house, I sold my cars, I sold pretty much everything I had.
I gave away things I didn't but what I didn't
get rid of were things that were sentimental or things that were too
expensive to replace when I got back. Things like my bicycles, some camera
gear, but a year ago I came back to the United
States and I needed to work for a full year
so that I could earn enough money to return to life on the road and so I
bought a few things and it turned out to be really expensive.
Things like just a basic mattress in a box and a bed
that was from Ikea, that kind of stuff and so
I have determined instead of returning I don't know two or three years from now
and repeating having to buy all that stuff I'm putting it all in the storage
unit. Then I have some other things in here
that are like old Land Rover parts and well
just a bunch of different things. Some of my old photo stuff,
some things like light stands, now really expensive nice things that I use for
making creative live, all that kind of stuff. That's in a secure studio loft 19
with an alarm system. It's all insured so don't leave that in the storage unit
but this is one of the things that you have to do if you're going to live life
on the road for many many years. Unless you have a lot of money
which I don't have then you have to cut your expenses and for me that meant
selling everything. No house, no mortgage, no insurance, no
utility bills, no cars, nothing except for me and a
motorcycle. Now with the Land Rover the motorcycle is going to go here when
I'm not riding it so shifty drifty will be
parked here and then I'll be able to keep my expenses lower so
tomorrow is the last day and then it is back to
well life on the road.
