FRANCISCO LINDOR TRADED TO THE NEW YORK METS!

Yo, what is going on guys welcome back to Mets media, this is Richie and the New York Mets has just Officially acquired the best shortstop in the MLB in Francisco Lindor Holy crap Steve Cohen lands the big blockbuster trade that we've been waiting for all offseason in this video I'll be breaking down the trade and why this is a very good sign for the New York Mets in the short term and long Term if you guys are new to the channel, make sure you subscribe I will be posting all the latest New York Mets news here on this channel And when the season comes around I'll be giving us all the updates There's a lot of Mets baseball content here on this channel So again, if you guys are not subscribed, make sure you do so I am so excited that the Mets pulled off this trade We did give up a lot But I think that we did not give up as much as we could have I'll get into that in the video So let's get right in. So here are the details of the trade the Mets gave up Ahmed Rosario Andres Jimenez Josh Wolfe and Isaiah green those four players and we received back Francisco Lindor and veteran pitcher Carlos Carrasco So the Mets give up two of their shortstops Jimenez I loved a lot of Mets fans fell in love with his rookie season last year and Rosario We all liked and then he kind of felt like he was gonna be replaced from Jimenez So we gave up two of our young shortstop players and we also gave up Josh Wolfe and as a green who are two of Our prospects but at the same time we held on to our top prospects our top prospects Excuse me Brett Batty is still of still on the Mets and I feel like we could have gave up a lot more for a guy like Francisco Lindor so I personally think that we fleeced the Indians I honestly think that we should have or I felt like we almost had to give up more for Lindor I felt like when all the rumors were circulating that the Mets were interested in Lindor that we would have to give up a lot more than what we did and Wow kudos to Steve Cohen and Jared Harper for all of the Crazy news that just broke that the Mets officially got Francisco Lindor I think this is a huge sign for the Mets because this is where we need to be a win now team and a long-term team because we know that Steve Cohen's vision for the squad is We are built to win now and we could compete for the World Series in 2021 but at the same time we want to be smart and make sure that we're building a Sustainable winner for the future and that's what we just did Francisco Lindor is 27 years old. He's a three or four time all-star He's entering the prime of his career and he's been balling out when he was young So when you're a 27 year old baseball player I feel like your prime is about when you're turning 28 and you're heading into your early 30s That's when players really hit their prime of their career and Francis Francisco Lindor is doing just that He is entering a contract year in the next couple seasons So the one thing I will say is the Mets will have to extend him Eventually if he wants to be a long-term Met I'm totally okay with that because Francisco Lindor again is one of the best shortstops if not the best in the entire MLB We also got Carlos Carrasco, which is a very underrated player He is a veteran 33 year old starting pitcher and we know this Mets team needs starting pitching depth desperately Especially because we haven't really done anything or free agency Trevor Boward We did not get that guy from Japan is still speculated to come to the Mets. He's not here yet So this is a really good piece for the Mets to come into the starting pitching rotation He had a really good season last year and he's just a guy that is going to come in here and be probably the fourth Or fifth starter nothing too crazy. But again, we have Jacob to grump We had no syndicate coming back from Tommy John's later on this season. We have Marcus Stroman We resigned Steven Mets David Peterson. We have a lot of pitching depth now including Carrasco So I'm just overhyped right now that the Mets just somehow pulled off this trade We've been waiting for this moment all through the all-season We're waiting for the Mets to sign someone like Springer or Bauer But we go out and we get a blockbuster trade for Francisco Lindor. So It is a little I'm a little not worried But it's kind of interesting that we gave up both of our shortstops in Ahmed Rosario and and and Jimenez I love both of those players now who's gonna be our backup shortstop Hopefully we don't have to worry about that because hopefully Lindor remains healthy But let's just think about our starting infield right now it right now for the projected 2021 roster I would say JD Davis at third Lindor at short Jeff McNeil at second and Pete Alonso and Dom Smith rotating at that first base Bob That is a really good infield and let's just see what our top of the lineup would be offensively Say Nimmo is the leadoff still McNeil Conforto Alonso Lindor, that's not the order, but that's just gonna be the top of this lineup and that's a beefy That's a really good offensive lineup for this Mets in 2021 Mets fans. We deserve to be hype Steve Cohen hats off to you Thank you for bringing Mets fans some life and energy because we've been waiting. We've been sitting back patiently. I haven't been worried I know there's a lot of Mets fans on Twitter like yo, Steve Cohen. You're all y'all talk. Where is the blockbuster trades? Where is the signings? Where is it? Here it is Francisco Lindor is officially a member of the New York Mets Let me know in the comment section down below your initial thoughts of reactions to the Mets Signing not signing trading for Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco Are you content with what we gave up? Because for those guys that did not hear what I said earlier, we gave up a Med Rosario Andres Jimenez Josh Wolfe and Isaiah green. So let me know in the comment section Is that too much to ask for these two players or are you completely fine with it? Do you think we fleeced him? Let me know. Is there a fair trade or not?
