It's hot in here hot Peace and a warm welcome to this video Today we're doing something a bit different not a travel video but an update video Many have already asked about it and we also promised it two weeks ago I think Yes and such things simply take time it's a sensitive topic Yes for those who still don't know those who haven't found out yet we're only traveling in pairs now We were usually three or four people for short periods and Jonas and Helena have flown home so we will now sail on our own This video will explain why and what happened here as far as we can explain it I would say we just start right from the beginning We have documented everything from the beginning and always kept you in the loop You are a mega-community always present and have shown the most personal things there are It's almost like a reality show Therefore we want to be honest with you now as well About two years ago we started were three people and we managed to do it for another one and a half years And it was also a great time and we handled it well Of course there were always problems and that's completely normal I find it already amazing that we managed to last a year and a half together That's something you have to accomplish first Then were in Brazil and we decided to go to Germany for a short time A bit of family time to take care of a few things there We had planned to fly back So we didn't argue and then flew home but the plan was that we would fly back again Exactly in Germany Jonas then met Helena rather quickly We then also met Helena and were all happy Then it quickly became clear that she would come along Four people is naturally much more balanced It is also much tighter there are surely other problems then But were all happy and wanted something fresh a change And that we don't end up going back to being a trio again and then everything continues just like before That's why we actually thought it was pretty cool and then we flew back Still one has to say there's naturally always a certain risk involved Since we've only known each other for a short time maybe one or two months and you're here in a sort of exceptional situation It's so cramped here and if things don't go well you feel trapped for ten days And when you've had a fight when were out on the sea And that's just a situation that you can't predict beforehand Nevertheless we naturally viert sind And yes then we set sail The sail went very well with Helena and so But in the long run it didn't really work out between Jonas and Helena if I may say so Then Jonas decided relatively last minute to fly home There were in French Guiana We had sailed from Brazil to French Guiana We were then about four people for roughly two months And yes then Helena stayed here for another week She then considered whether she would continue traveling with us or not He then decided to fly home And from there were then two Everything happened relatively quickly Yes that was all very very last-minute That's also why this video came out a bit delayed We needed some time first These are things you have to let sink in We had to get ourselves a bit in order sort out our thoughts Everyone needed some time alone to think about what had happened Exactly that's how it is now Yes Jonas actually wanted to speak up as well He still needs more time Maybe he doesn't even want to show up in a video We aren't sure yet But that's completely okay He can do it however he wants And that's his right Nevertheless we wanted to give you a quick update so that we can both look ahead and keep moving forward and you also know a little bit what's going on here and why we're even together now Overall one can say that were together for two months We had a mixed time There were many difficult situations It was partially stressful tight and simply difficult On the other hand we also experienced many great things We sailed together on the Atlantic for ten days There were many beautiful moments We do not look back on it badly We also still have contact with Helena She is doing well She also has a few more words to say that we can include here And yes it was just a very mixed two months I'm contacting you again from Germany now As some of you may have already heard or guessed I flew back to Germany at the end of February And I just wanted to say in this video how grateful I am to have been able to sail with them at all I have learned a lot about myself in the little over three months or two and a half months and have been able to gain so many new experiences I have never sailed before this was my first time with the three sails I have had night shifts I have had to overcome myself in many situations I have also sailed for ten days which was actually a time when I had hardly ever sailed before It was a completely new and great experience for me Then I was also there for the first time in the rainforest I met extremely many people in different countries I had to communicate in other languages even if it didn't always work out so well I have found friends above all and I am simply extremely grateful for that I find it simply amazing how warmly I was received by Jonas Thilo and Leonie and also by you I just feel extremely lucky to have had the experience and I wish Thilo and Leonie a lot of fun on their continued journey Yes and now we are two the question is how to proceed There is naturally much more to do not only sailing-related but also film-related and everything that goes with it We are practically working here 24-7 and now it's no longer halved but quartered But we are confident that we will make it and are motivated and definitely want to keep going The plan is to sail to the Caribbean first and then see step by step how to proceed just like we have always done Then there will soon be duet sailing videos adventure videos for two or sometimes solo just like the last video As most people know we set out without any sailing experience and were there in a group of three And that was also very good because were there in a group of three I think two of us would not have managed that so well We were a good team of three We all tackled the challenges together and everyone always had their task and something to do And that was just fine We have learned so much from this time and gathered so many experiences That we will be able to
