first time to feel solid ground under our feet We quickly make acquaintances find our way around well and immediately take care of renting a car to explore the area We have now arrived in Cayenne We and then it's already perfectly spicy I mean it's a bit sharp but somehow a cool idea with the salad That makes everything a bit crunchier You can eat a bowl of Asian soup in many corners of French right away because of our ignorance A very unpleasant experience but we could still enjoy them once they were cooked Today is the next day We were at the supermarket and already bought some things and that was a Carrefour and just a French supermarket Everything that comes here is brought by this ship in front from Europe That means it has everything that wasn't available in Brazil And now we're going to take a real break We cleaned everything on the aft deck back there with seat covers and are setting everything up Eat just about everything we didn't have in Brazil For example also baguettes Baguettes are so good and we just didn't have them Bread in Brazil is simply soft and sweet just like almost everywhere in the world And there's also dark bread like pumpernickel with nuts in it and so on Really cool Then we visit the rainforest of French Guiana for the first time After ten days of sailing we look forward to a completely different soundscape Instead of the fluttering of our sails and the waves crashing against the hull We are about to encounter completely new and unfamiliar sounds animals we do not know and an atmosphere that differs in every way from that on the ocean We are currently running into the rainforest here It is so humid and moist but simply incredible and exciting that we are allowed to pass through here I haven't seen that for a long time That's really got the Indiana Jones vibe This is really wild here just like you imagine it in the rainforest I'll note it as a tropical house in a German zoo In such a really high-quality zoo but even cooler Everything here is natural and it's so huge And so a tree will simply stick out completely from the roof So unbelievable There was just this butterfly such an exotic one I can never believe it and I find stuff like that cool That was definitely a bucket list goal of mine to be in such a rainforest once And I hope I will be there many more times And now I'm just enjoying these first impressions I've ever
