We arrive in Tobago exhausted
For four days we once again introduced ourselves without knowing what was really in store
what the Pirate Bay will look like
One thing we almost always do on our stages is describe it to each other for hours
ow we imagine the new place
We are just arriving here at the Pirates Bay
That fits we also have a little pirate boat
And it already looks very promising and quiet there
We go quite far in and it's also quite sheltered from the wind
And we can spend a few quiet days here
That's really great there It looks good already
The Pirates Bay
Did pirates meet here hundreds of years ago
Was if Edward Thatch also known as Blackbeard was the most famous pirate anywhere
Blackbeard was born in England and was one of the most feared pirates around 1660
Did he perhaps arrive at the same spot as we do now
Also the fisherman tells us that wind and waves are very unyielding right now
and the conditions that exist out there
Nevertheless he has made a good catch and wants to sell us fish right away
He tells us where we can sign up and we agree that he will come back later
We know that it may not be possible to land in Tobago
But were so exhausted that we sought shelter in this bay
We still want to go ashore to find out if there's a way to clear customs
The journey from the dinghy is incredible for us
The surroundings and nature around us remind
us that we have finally reached the Caribbean
We have now come ashore and wanted to get
stamped but unfortunately that is not possible
It was already clear to us beforehand you have to enter Trinidad first
get a PCR test for 180 dollars and get the stamp there
Before we can go to Tobago
That's not what we wanted to do anyway
The wave conditions were so bad that we said
We held hands and tried it now but it's not working
It was already clear before now we have to go further to Grenada
We think tomorrow or the day after is a pretty good weather window
The weather is not getting better but we have to keep going
Therefore we have no other choice
Even though we knew we might not be allowed to stay were sad
We already noticed how nature had changed upon our arrival
What color the water has been since the start of the final stage
From green to dark blue and from dark blue to clear turquoise changed
We are seeing pelicans for the first time in our lives
The island greets us with its colorful vibrant hues
We must move on leaving the island behind us
But that is also part of this journey
It is one of the things we have to accept and that we cannot change ourselves
Our lives take place mostly on the sea
And that is why we are daily confronted with it
How much we humans endanger this place and how polluted our oceans really are
And that's why we are constantly looking for new alternatives
for various areas of life that we can use in our daily lives
and to somewhat counteract this problem
And for that reason we are very happy that this video is supported by Gottbäck
Gottbäck produces backpacks namely the world's first backpacks made from ocean plastic
The Gottbäck backpacks have been with us since almost the beginning of this trip
We find them really awesome
They are big enough to fit all our stuff in and especially keep water out
Then we can use the one in the dinghy and put
all the camera gear in there and everything stays dry
Now after a long time a new Godbäck has
finally moved in and that is No World Top
And I find him a bit cooler than the
others because he's small and compact
I don't have to carry as much stuff around as Tilo always does in his backpack
We are definitely fans of Gottbäck and are very happy that Gottbäck supports this journey
If you're also looking for a backpack check out Gottbäck
Find the link in the video description Have fun with it
But before we continue on the next morning
It can't stop us from taking a dive into the underwater world
Swimming through the clear water with countless
fish the first time to observe colorful corals
Even though we knew that nature would change
We are speechless at the beauty we find down there
I went into the water again just now
So that people can at least once more explore the underwater world here in Tobago
Then it goes on right away even though we want to go
But it's simply beautiful the bridge
I'm curious to see if it gets any worse in the Caribbean
but here is a rainforest or not a rainforest a jungle
Beautiful water underwater world Lian everything is green here
It's really great to be able to go swimming by the boat again
That's fun
And this is now our world
Dive with me into the turquoise water down there it's just you and me
Surrounded by silence we will float drenched in bright blue light
And I think about the waves I saw out there
and how I realized completely completely immediately how tiny and small we are
We have been here for a day in Pirates Bay Tobago
We just ate something delicious now washing dishes here cleaning everything up
Then we will set off at 5 o'clock
We will then sail through the night which is about 85 miles
at we will arrive there directly in the morning clear customs
and finally arrive somewhere where we can stay for a while
That's why I'm already in the mood it's a bit a shame we have to go
because the bay is really beautiful and the village and the people were also nice
They also wondered what it was why and found it also regrettable
They wanted to do something with us but yes that's just how it is
We keep moving forward hoist the sails not ready to leave again yet
but we have to
We have hauled up the anchor and are already a bit out of the bay
And now we are raising the sails
I'm looking forward to it but I'm not really in the mood for so much chaos as last time
That was really exhausting
We hope to arrive on time tomorrow morning
We don't really feel like jumping into it right away but you have to adapt
Then we'll go up there now
A night lies ahead of us until we reach a place where we can rest
We both pull ourselves together pushing the tiredness tomorrow
Knowing that we will reach Grenada tomorrow morning
Hired the weathervane spins the Focus Roam the bizarre is driven
Five and a half knots the sun is about to set we have none so a few clouds
But the weather has been really good so far
We've also had a three-quarter moon a half moon
whatever you want to call it and it provides good light
Yes it's definitely very relaxed right now
There was another sailboat in our cove
and they were really nice I think there were five people
and they gave us a flag
Our flag has been lost here for a long time
And now we have again a German flag hanging on the boat
people can now again know where we are from
Whether everything works out and how we reach
Grenada the next morning you'll see in the next video
