So as you can see this this shelter comes with these straps on here and you
can loop these to a tree and then tighten them up or loosen them off but I
found that that way you only get one direction of tension whereas by putting
a loop and running it to a ridgeline not only can I adjust my prusik knot like
that but if I also need to bring it down or up I can use this strap like so well
cheers guys my buddy Jeff's famous tacos although I did make an error I forgot
the cheese it's a bad shout I like a bit goats cheese on mine normally but didn't
bring it with me so delicious it has started raining outside now it is
supposed to rain all night it's not so bad right now it was supposed to start
raining earlier than this but just didn't so we'll see how it goes right
now I'm gonna get stuck into my food and enjoy it well that just goes to show why
you need a thicker knife for batoning pent the blade I have batons with this
before and it worked fine and I thought because that was super dead pine that it
would work no problem but I just ended up bending the tip of it which I can
bend it back but that's why I always feel like in the winter it's better just
to have the axe because it's much more efficient and it's you know better on
frozen wood because that's the other thing if the woods frozen inside it's
much harder but also you know the problem with the axe is when you're
trying to do really fine like little batoning work because everything's wet
right now I just want to get like some real nice little splits the axe is a bit
harder to do that way especially with a long handle axe like I've got
it's not too shabby this old camping business is it not bad at all it's
quite a nice night in there and I tend to be fair I enjoyed it it didn't leak I
will say that it didn't leak it was good it was waterproof inside there is
one gripe that I do have and this isn't necessarily with one tigress this has
been on all hot tents I've had and I'll show you what I mean so this little
thing here that's supposed to cover the stove jack they always put it above the
stove jack and every time all that happens is the stove touches it and as
you can see it's already melted everyone I've had whether it's one
tigress pomali Luke's don't matter if the things up here it just touches the
stovepipe and it melts it's velcro so it'd be just as easy to sew it on here
and it dropped this way and there'd be no chance of that happening so why no
one thinks of that I don't know but maybe they will maybe they'll see this
and think I need to change this and put it down here so yeah that's just a
little gripe of mine and like I say they all do it every company does it I
don't understand why it just seems like it's not very well thought out and maybe
it's me I'll fully admit if I think it's me but considering on every tent I've
had that has that I've melted the thing it would seem like it probably happens
to more than just me but maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm just cotton-headed
ninny-muggins you know anyway I hope you enjoyed this I I had mic issues the
first time I came out and I've actually had mic issues again on this trip so I'm
gonna have to try and figure out what to do with some of that that footage maybe
I'll dub it with some music or something we'll see but anyway hopefully you
enjoyed it and as always I'll see you on the next one take it easy
