Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Today's video is all about
my fall favorites, all the fun things that I've been loving
this fall, which is going to be some recipes, some products,
and there's one specific product line that I'm really excited to show you
guys. So today's video is actually sponsored by
Govee and this is just one sneak peek of what one of those products is going to
be that I'm going to be showing you guys. So
stay tuned for the end because this is where I will be walking you through
step-by-step how to use this product as well as a few other products
in their product line. Okay, first of all, you guys know I love to save money and
if I can ever find something that I already love but a cheaper version,
I'm all about that. So we're going to start today with a couple of dupes.
If you don't know, now you know, I am obsessed with the leave
scent from Bath & Body Works, okay? However, these candles are $24.99
unless you go and get them on sale and that's every so
often they'll do them like half off, okay? So you're still paying
about $12.50 a candle. Now, I typically, no, in fact, every year I
stock up on about 20 of these candles so that I have them all year because I
love them that much. This year I was introduced to the Walmart
version of leaves, okay? And it smells pretty
dang similar. Like you, if you smelt this, then you
smelt this, you probably wouldn't smell a difference.
That's how much it smells like it. This one from Walmart is called Warm Fall
Leaves and you guys, it smells the same, okay? When you
light it in your house, it smells the same. The only difference
I would say between the two is this one is just a little bit stronger.
However, this is so close that people would not know a difference
and your nostrils probably won't know a difference either. So
if you want to save a lot of money, stock up on these this year at Walmart. These
were $4 something, $4.50 or $4.90, I can't remember, for this big
old candle, okay? Four bucks instead of $24.99.
I would say some more dupes from Bath & Body Works.
Getting them at Walmart would be these cute little soaps.
Smell-wise, I'm not comparing the smell to anything. I just think the look of the
bottles, this looks just like what you would pick
up at Bath & Body Works and these are $2
at Walmart. So I purchased these just for the looks and how cute they are. I also
love the smell. This is their Pumpkin Harvest scent
and it's a really, really good pumpkin smell.
Yeah, it's like a pumpkin spice and it really does smell good. I've smelled a
few pumpkin spices that I'm not too fond of and these are definitely
worth the $2. While we're talking about soaps and
smells, you guys know I love Mrs. Meyers. In
fact, I will tell you this, Mrs. Meyers' pumpkin spice smell is not the best.
I don't love their pumpkin spice scent and in fact it doesn't have the best
reviews online either, but I did find these two smells this
year. They are the best fall soap smell I have
ever smelt in my life. Okay, so starting with
the Acorn Spice scent. Holy crap, you guys, this is amazing.
Anyone that has used this at my house is like, what is this smell?
I have never smelled this before. So the Mrs. Meyers
Acorn Spice, I will have this linked below, you guys.
If you purchase this through Grove Collaborative, if you've never used their
website before, you'll actually get a huge pack of freebies.
Now, the hand lotion, I didn't see this in the hand lotion and I don't like when
they do that. I think they should, if they're going to
come out with a soap, they should come out with a lotion.
But this one, I thought, well the look of it was fall, but it's the oat blossom and
this one smells amazing too. So I like the mixture of the two
and I have this next to my sink. If you watched my last video, then you probably
saw that already. But these two smells are freaking amazing.
I also picked up some Acorn Spice scent for my dish soap
and then for my all-purpose cleaner, I picked up the Apple Cider scent
and this smells really, really good as well. I would say my favorite smells
this fall would be the Acorn Spice would definitely be number one. I wanted to try
the Apple Cider just in something else. Okay, now
switching gears, I get asked all the time my lip color and this is a very
affordable lipstick, especially compared to like,
you know, some lipsticks can be upwards of 25-50 bucks
and this is just a couple dollars. This is the,
what brand is this? This is the Maybelline Touch of Spice
and the number is 660. So this is like their matte colors. I wear this one a lot
but especially in the fall and winter months. Another thing I get asked all the
time is where I got this beanie. I purchased this years ago. I've worn it
in so many of my videos. So I don't even remember where I got it
and in the tag it doesn't say. So I will find something similar and I'll
have that linked below as well. And then I wanted to also show you guys
a couple of my favorite sweaters this year.
This one being one of them, I will show this on but this is a blue
knitted sweater and I purchased this from Smith's Marketplace.
It's the Dip brand. I already have some paint on it. I think I have paint on
almost everything because I never think to put some paint
clothes on when I paint. If you've noticed in any of my videos,
I'm always painting in my clothes and I regret that every single time.
This striped one is actually from Walmart and it was on clearance for $11.
I think the original price is $11.44 so you're gonna save 44 cents but I love
the way this fits. I think I got this one in an extra large.
Oh this is just a large but I like my sweaters to be really
baggy and loose-fitting. So they had this in a million different colors but I
thought this one was really really nice. The last sweater I
wanted to show you was actually purchased from
Amazon. I've been asked a few times because I have worn this
in I think for sure one video maybe two.
But I think this is really fun. This probably isn't going to be for everybody
but I really love this rainbow sweater.
So this again was from Amazon. I think it was $24
and they have this in a couple different shades so it's like you don't
have to get one that's bright. They have some
lighter colors of it but I will also have this one
linked below. Okay for this next portion of this video I wanted to show you guys
two of my favorite must-make recipes during the fall months. So the first one
is this delicious hot chocolate. It's a very very
rich and creamy hot chocolate and I will have all of the ingredients as well as
the recipe listed beneath. This specific recipe is
something you would want to take to an event.
It's not something that you probably would have just for yourself because it
makes so much.
My little boy would not stop bugging me. He wanted some so bad so
as it got a little bit warm I poured him
just a little bit and he loved it. He would not put it down.
Okay this next one is just with these three
ingredients and this is the yummiest treat
I have ever had in my life and I've been making this for
the past about 10 years. So these are my famous homemade butterfingers and if you
don't like butterfingers that's okay they are
so good. People that hate butterfingers still love this.
So the first step here is taking a 16 ounce bag of candy corn
and you just pop it in the microwave for one minute stir it around
and then put it back in for 30 seconds stir it around again
and keep doing this for 30 seconds until you get the consistency you're looking
for. This took me two minutes so I did one
minute then 30 seconds stirred it and then 30 seconds again
until it got the consistency that I needed it.
Then you are just going to take the peanut butter of your choice make sure
that it's a smooth peanut butter a 16 ounce can and you are going to mix
it straight from the bottle into this mixture and I usually do it in
two different sections so I'll do about half of it
and mix it around. It does get a little bit hard
to mix but this is what you want it to look like before you put it into
a cookie sheet. So all I'm doing here is scraping it out
and using a spoon to flatten most of it and then I will go in with a rolling pin
and you'll want to just spread this out as much as you want.
The thickness is really up to you I like mine
pretty thin so you'll see about how much coverage you know this should fill up
the pan.
Now while this is still hot you want to take a knife and make your squares now.
I learned this the hard way I think the first two years I made this
I stuck it in the refrigerator as is and then I cut them after and I
would like break my hand every single time so
do yourself a favor make the cuts right now and again this is just your
preference you can make them as big as you want
as small as you want but this makes about 65
squares if you do it the same size that I did.
Typically you will not need to be scraping this up with a knife
I was just trying to do this quick so I only let it sit in the fridge for about
20 minutes where typically I'll let it sit in the fridge for about an hour and
that really does make a difference.
Now taking some milk chocolate candy melts make sure that they're milk
chocolate you are going to melt this in a microwave
and I did again one minute and then stir it around and then 30
seconds and stir it around and I'm pretty sure
it only took a minute and 30 seconds once it looks like this
just keep stirring and stirring because if you cook it too long it'll burn.
The next thing you're going to do is just dip all of your squares into the
chocolate and let them get hard and that is it.
It takes about two minutes for these to get hard and then you can just store
them all on one plate but you'll see as
they're still melted I use several plates
until I can stick them on top of each other like this.
If you guys end up making this recipe I would love to see them
so please share it on Instagram or Facebook and tag me I would love to see
everybody making these different recipes and I'd love to hear how you guys love
them.
All right guys this is the moment I have been waiting for I have been wanting
this strip of lights for the longest time and I was so excited when Gobi
reached out to me and offered to do a giveaway for my
viewers so they are going to be giving away
one of these strips of lights as well as a door sensor so I will be showing you
guys these products right now. So these strip of lights they are just
sticky on one side and you can stick them
anywhere you want. Some people put them underneath their cabinets
you really can put them anywhere that you want. I decided to put them
behind our TV and I've been wanting some lights like this for a long time
and the reason I wanted to show this in my fall video
is because with all the holidays coming up it's awesome that you can have this
one strip of lights and you can change the colors to
a million different colors. So for fall and Halloween
I'm thinking I want you know the yellow and orange look.
They also have tons of different modes you can have them flash different colors
there's a dance mode so I'm going to be showing you guys that
right here. So the first thing you're going to do
when you get your lights is download the Govee Home app.
This allows you to control the lights from your phone which makes it
super easy you don't need to worry about a remote but just by clicking on the
colors or the different modes you can also turn the brightness down.
Honestly you can be as creative as you guys want with these lights and they are
so fun. I'm going to show you guys a few
things that these lights can do so just watch. Okay so we're going to do
Isn't that cool? Orange, yellow, green, blue
all the colors you can also like that's kind of like a pink purple
there's literally a million different colors you can choose. You can also
choose the brightness so this is that this is it at 13 percent
that's at 100. He's telling all the colors.
This is like a party mode that you can do that's really cool.
Okay so this one is the candlelight mode look how fun
it's like flickering. This one is snowflake.
The next product I want to highlight from their collection
is this wireless door alarm. So our little boy
Ezra loves to sneak out the back door the sliding door.
This is going to be a huge lifesaver so all you do
is stick this on the door and there will be a little doorbell alarm
that will sound anytime this moves. So we have
a few of these we have one stuck up on our sliding door upstairs and then one
on our downstairs as well. This next one is a water leak detector
and it has wi-fi built into it so you will actually get notified on your phone
if there is a leak and this comes with three different
water detectors so you can put them anywhere that you want. We decided to put
it in front of our water heater just to be
sure that there's never any issues with that.
Okay guys well that's everything for this video. Thank you guys so much for
