【Drawing commentary】Draw a chocolate mint girl🍨🌱🍫【illustration making】
Hello everyone this is Otegama Today I'm going to show you the making process while we go through the ticket gate together
I would like to draw a girl in a chocolate mint theme using Clip Studio
I think I just saw a face briefly pop up on the right it's deciding its expression
This is the image of a girl who is a bit pouting because she likes chocolate mint ice cream which is known for causing strong likes or dislikes
By the way I really like chocolate mint but what's your favorite ice cream
I use a pen called Kashi Pen which has a slightly rough texture that can be used with analog touch and I usually use this pen when drawing line art digitally
I haven't used any other painting software but I think the default pen usually makes smooth lines
I feel that using a slightly rough pen can give the drawing a softness and atmosphere
This video starts from a rough draft and a rough version was written in the previous stage
The general color scheme of the clothes is already decided I like to draw my hair very finely and intricately so it ends up taking a long time I'll skip a bit
Yes I'm currently writing the skirt part This way of drawing the ruffles can be applied in various ways and if you're unsure about the design just add some more and it will become very cute so try imitating it
I've received a few comments asking how to dress so I'm thinking of making another video about it
Yes I'll make the final adjustments to the line art and then proceed to coloring First I'll paint the entire base in gray
The reason for painting it gray is to make it easier to see any color omissions or overflows and the purpose is to create a cohesive overall color scheme
I thought why would someone paint it gray when I first saw someone doing it but when I tried it just by copying it without really understanding it ended up looking good
It seems that this is a technique commonly used in oil painting using a brush and oil paint and a flat brush for coloring
First I place the color with thick oil paint and then spread it out with a flat brush I really like this flat brush because the way the colors blend is just right
I used these two brushes to paint everything and once the paper was fully painted I used an automatic washing tool to remove the excess
It's been a while since I last posted a video I guess I've been really busy and haven't been able to make videos as often as I'd like
Have you all started your summer vacation yet I have been a fan of India since I was a child
I was drawing a lot during summer vacation right Next I'll paint the skirt
This skirt actually has a shape like an overturned parfait glass and the inner part of the skirt is patterned with chocolate mint
When applying this chocolate if I just place the color with a brush it becomes too stiff and stands out from the drawing so I blend it a bit
We are bringing out the clarity of the glass and here we are adding a lot of color as a representation of light
I erased it because it wasn't needed when I looked at the final balance it's something that often happens when I'm drawing and I usually draw it like this with a sense of melancholy
I added a large shadow to the upper body and this actually becomes quite important By boldly incorporating a larger shadow the picture gains more depth and presence
I'll draw the chocolate mint pattern on the bun-shaped part of the hair just like the skirt and then paint the eye color
Adding a color the same as the yellow in the outfit gives a sense of overall cohesion I'll add the same yellow to this mint leaf as well
I have finally been freed from the gray world and returned to a white background but at this point the gray underlayer remains beneath the colored figure
I only removed the white parts around it now I'll paint the parfait
I really love drawing small items like these foods and the characters are now in their final touches
I'm currently doing color tracing which is basically adding color to line art
This creates a unified color scheme and gives a refined impression
In my case I often leave the parts I want to stand out the most especially around the face as black line art
I get the feeling that quite a few people these days are opting to keep the overall style with black lines instead of adding color
Maybe it's just my imagination Is there a trend for it I'll outline the areas where the hair and body overlap in white
The green under the boots was a bit strong and noticeable so I'll add a soft touch of yellow and blur it a bit here
Yes the characters are mostly finished Now I'll draw the background and small items around them
I find it really enjoyable to arrange small items while keeping an eye on the balance and I'm doing it while thinking that it's almost finished
I added some chocolate color because my feet looked pale and unbalanced and I sprinkled stars at the end to finish it
This concludes this video If you found this video interesting or helpful please give it a thumbs up subscribe to the channel and thank you
Bye bye
