After a few dives with Pavlos from Infinity Freediving we decided to invest more time and money into training and gear, freediving is one of the greatest feelings - floating in the depth and enjoying the sea. Pavlos was super helpfull and after patching everything together we finally started sailing again and left Larnaca Marina.

Welcome to a new day on Fortuna.
This is the day we are finally going to stock up
our free diving gear.
We are now convinced that we are pretty passionate
about free diving and we're not going to stop soon.
So we are going to Pavlo's shop
and look at all the material that we're still missing.
You have socks?
Can I try those on?
Yeah, it's 42.
We also needed a pulling system,
which is going to be attached to the safety buoy,
which you use while diving.
And we obviously needed a safety buoy.
So there were two options, which we could choose from.
On the inside, I need the pistons, right?
What do you do with the valves?
Yeah.
No, I have the pump for the dinghy.
That's good.
Now, the way I prefer this one,
is when you put the rope inside,
you have in the water.
Yeah.
All this is full of water.
So when you pull it out, it's very heavy.
Yeah.
And then you have to wait for the water to come out.
And this one.
Goes through directly.
Just take it like this, then.
We were convinced.
We took the buoys, the socks, and the pulling system.
Now it was time to do some groceries
and wander around in Larnaca.
We are done with groceries.
So now it's time for me to go and edit the new episode,
while Michael will work on our new passion of freediving,
and we'll prepare the rope
that we're going to use to dive from the boat.
So we bought actually a new rope,
which is about 30 meters,
which is our goal for the next month.
And on it, he will sew different marks
so that we know how many meters we have gone,
like every five meters.
And the last five meters will be every meter.
So we can really push it once we're there.
We managed to mark five meters and 10 meters differently.
So you know how deep the rope is.
And basically we can then use the pulling system,
attach weight to it,
and put it underneath the buoy.
So we can get some more rope here,
open and extend the line.
And then with the weight,
it goes down and we can go deeper.
If there's weight on it,
it stops and it won't go deeper.
Then we can just pull it back up again
and put everything back into the trunk.
And in here we have space for a few other things
like the flag or some fixing.
The only thing missing now is some weight
to drag everything down.
We tried with five kilos,
but it's definitely not enough.
So let's see if we find some in the next harbors
once we are out of Larnaca.
We are now in Larnaca,
we are going to the Marina,
we now know we are going to the Marina.
This was it for this episode.
As announced today on Instagram,
we are going to publish at least two videos each week
to keep you as busy as possible during lockdown.
