Well I've already arrived and with this face to my next country which is Slovenia
I will be in Slovenia for a few days mainly visiting from Ljubljana westward
And that's it there have been two flights not very long about two hours each
The thing is that I made a 1.5-hour stop in Prague
And that's why my large suitcase won't arrive here all the way to Ljubljana
Then they lost my backpack the big one where all my clothes were
Where everything related to the bathroom theme went all themes of those toiletries and especially the chargers
I've already filed the claim for issues like these it's worth having travel insurance
because I think the airline gives you about 20 euros a day
To pay for your clothes that you need to buy but 20 euros
With the insurance I have they pay me 150 so there's a big difference
And nothing else the thing is I don't know when they are going to give me the backpack
Because I spend each night in a different part
of the country they'll have to be chasing me
But anyway I don't know I'll go buy something to change into tomorrow and that's it
Okay I've shown you the room sorry
This is the hostel where I'm staying today
As you can see much more modest than that of recent days
But it's super central it's in the center the center of Ljubljana it's perfect
It has more than enough of what I need
Well there's a bed here and there's a private bathroom over here and it's pretty good
It's quite renovated so I don't have any complaints
The problem is that I'm missing my things but well
Nothing I say goodbye here and we start early tomorrow
Well it's a new day a first post-luggage loss post
We're already here starting in Ljubljana
The hostel is very good because you know it doesn't have any luxuries
But it's fair give the river that is the window of my room faces the river
And it was comfortable the shower was good so more than enough
And we start the tour here at the Dragon Bridge
It's a bridge that as you can see is very crowded
It is very touristy but it also regulates traffic
And it is an Arnubo-style bridge
The characteristic feature are the dragons that flank it
It has dragons at both the beginning and the end of the bridge
As during the same time at the base of the streetlamps
And just past the Dragon Bridge into the inner
area is the place that's always filled every day
with a lot of small stalls both for clothes and fruits vegetables
good general food
And the truth is that it's quite interesting to visit so let's go inside
Past the central market into the old town area
There is a small path that leads up to the castle
From here from Ljubljana which is in the mountains
He had planned to come later but since it says it's going to ra
I prefer to come now get it over with just in case because the weather is very nice right now
Then we go back to the central streets
And after about 10-15 minutes of walking there'
s also a small cable car that takes you up here
But anyway I'm telling you it's a maximum of 15 minutes walking
You arrive at the castle which is a really cool castle
It is here at the top of the mountain in a medieval style
which has been renovated in recent centuries
And above all this area is often used by young
people who come here on weekends to relax
A tumbarse to drink etc and also
has very nice views of the city
What is the castle the courtyard is free I think you have to pay afterwards
An entry if you want to enter to see a museum
In short but anyway I just wanted to come see the views
because I already told you it is a medieval castle
but it has been reformed a lot and in fact now you can see that there is here a
Bars restaurants and especially for large events
you can celebrate a wedding here for example
Then it has become
much more modern
This part of the old town is really nice because
as you can see it's for supplies and such
but everything else this was a road before
and they paved it all so that it would be completely
Peatonal Very typical here like here the ice
creams are very good I just came out of eating
It is the first restaurant called Monster Abistro
on TripAdvisor located near the old town area
I just had it right there so I said come on let's go in
And the truth is it's spectacular plus it's not very expensive for the quality
It has because it's one of these quite elaborate dishes
you have the option of two three or four dishes from the menu
It comes in total I took the longest one which is two
appetizers one hot and one cold then the main course
They had beef short ribs and then a scoop
of cheese ice cream you know like that well
A very elaborate and very good menu so
I highly recommend it if you're here and want
to try a rather elaborate menu of local products
The frescoes are great they'really good
I think in total it's been about 30 euros
ordering several drinks with coffee at the end and such
that is if you want to go for the most basic option for 19€
You can eat and then add any extras you want from there
So it's a great option I recommend it to you
Seriously and that's it I'm just taking a walk around here
Again through the old town the sky is getting a bit dark
It seems it's going to rain as promised what
scares me about tomorrow because then at nig
I'm going to another place that must be really cool
but well keeping a positive attitude and it's refreshed a bit
And nothing I have spoken with the airline and it seems the suitcase
He arrives at the airport at 10 PM today
so they will bring him to the hotel
They will bring the backpack to the hotel tomorrow in the morning I don't know if I'll be there
because I'll do a quick checkout so you'll
have to chase me but anyway at least it seems
That's where it's located and it's coming so that's important
They've paid for clothes for a day so I can't complain
By the way I have already tried a local ice cream here
From a site that's I just picked one at random but the truth is tha
It is highly recommended in fact it was number one in the area
Voted by someone I don't know but it's number one
and the place is called Cacao and they have artisanal ice cream
Very tasty I took one that was lemon and squeezed it
It's very good they also have more original flavors
I came to the center to the hostel where I'm staying tonight
it's a very different concept from a hostel
That's how I found it through Alan around the world
In one of his videos from here in Slovenia and I loved it
It seemed really interesting to me and it's about staying in a prison
This is the room as you can see
It is a cell
And if you're wondering yes this was a real prison
for more than 100 years from the late 19th century
to the late 20th century
and then it was abandoned and
when they abandoned it different
local artists went there to restore it in their own way
a very bohemian way with graffiti
and decorating it and so on giving it a new look
And people used it to stay here
after that it became a hostel
and to this day that's what it is a converted prison into a hostel
In which there are I think a total of 20 cells
In which they are refurbished
they are used as rooms
Here they keep the cell door
and then a regular door
and then here is the rest of the cell
which are cabinets here by here a table
Some small windows over
there and then these stairs
that lead to the bed which is up here
Then well I thought it was a pretty original place to
stay for a night and that's it I'm showing it to you now
How the hotel looks from the outside the facilities and stuff so you can see that it's really good
