First of all let's see the new materials we're going to use to make this drawing.
These watermarkers have been sent to me by Winsor & Newton.
If you're interested, I'll leave the purchase link below the description.
And without them, this video would not have been possible.
Well, as you can see, it's the six-color box and it's about 20 euros.
Here we can see how most common markers have a fine tip and a beveled tip.
It's a detail that brings a little bit of a touch of the past, since I usually like to work with her more.
We'll see how useful these watermarkers really are.
Just like we would use normal watercolors.
Let's take a brush and we'll adjust it by color.
And we'll see that this one starts to spread like it was totally a real watercolor.
This way, as you can see, we can make some very nice degradados.
But that's not all, let's try to combine these two colors
And apply the brush over it to see what's happening.
As you can see, from the fusion of these two a different color is created,
So we can alternate those six colors to create many more.
We can also use a little piece of plastic as a color palette.
Just writing on the plastic with the markers and then putting the brush on them,
We'll see if we can use it exactly like a regular watercolor, which is great.
Of course, we could also create new colors in the palette and simply apply them from there.
Now that we understand a little better the functioning of these markers, let's get to practice.
Well, on this occasion and as we're in the midst of Halloween, I thought it would be a good idea to make a Gengar.
You know, for all the stuff about him being a Gengar, he's a ghost guy, he's supposed to be scared and all that, right?
The thing is, it's a Pokémon that I love, so I saw it as a perfect opportunity to do it.
To do that, as you're seeing, we're going to make a simple sketch with a pencil.
Well, actually Gengar is pretty simple for you, but you understand me.
And I say make it simple because as you've seen in the miniature, we're going to make it galaxy effect.
You know I'm a fan of that colored type, so this wasn't going to be an exception.
So that way, the sketch has to be simple, in a flat silhouette, because we're going to fill it out completely.
Except for the eyes and the mouth, which we're going to leave blank so that the drawing stands out.
Well, we're gonna finish bocqueting the eyes and the mouth and the next thing we're gonna have to do is pass a malleable gum
To partially erase all the traces of a pencil.
If you don't have molded rubber, you can do it with a regular one too.
We do this to erase because the drawing won't be delineated and if we leave the marks on a pencil,
What's going to happen is that later you're going to look a little ugly.
It's time to go to action with the new acreable markers.
Let's start by applying purple and pink fuchsia.
These two colors will be the main base color of the drawing.
We'll also be using orange, blue and black toques.
Well, as you can see, all I do is apply the color and run the brush over water very quickly.
I do it quickly because I've noticed that these markers work much better when the ink is still fresh.
If you see what I'm doing is mixing the pink fuchsia with the purple.
So that way they mix well and create that nebula effect.
And as you can see it's not hard, it's just making pure garbatos and having these mix with each other.
And now you're thinking, but Artemaster, I'm seeing that the colors are getting so ugly, they don't mix well.
Well, yes, you're right, the truth is I got a little scared when I saw this.
But stay tuned until the end of the video and you'll see that this is when the drought falls with a truly incredible effect.
Let's say that when making the garbatos they get very marked after passing them the brush.
But the fact is that as they are moistened by the water, they gradually mix.
And it's got a much better effect than the first one.
Also as you can see I helped a little bit of the plastic palette to mix the colors from there
and apply them directly in the appropriate place.
Also, if you notice it looks like you're mixing colors randomly, but it's not.
Because if you look carefully, some areas he left are darker than others, but this is to give it volume.
For example, if I want to represent zones of light, I use only the fuchsia rose.
This way, as it's clearer, it'll look like there's a lot more light in that area.
However, to represent shadows I use the color purple in a more intense way or combining it with the color black.
This way we'll get more relief, among other things, in this Pokémon.
As I said at the beginning, we're going to leave the eyes and mouth totally blank so it stands out much more.
We have to be very careful when passing the wet brush through these areas,
You know that watercolor spreads very easily and we could ruin the drawing.
So when it comes time to delineate those borders, what I recommend is that you do it with a brush that's dry enough.
And now I'm going to give you the art advice of the day, which I haven't given you in a while.
Normally, if you've ever worked with watercolors, you've noticed that there comes a point where you can't apply more color intensity.
Then, what I did before was apply the color in question over the wet colors
I tried to give it a little more intensity, but that's what happened.
What happened was that as the paper was very wet, it was diluted very much and you could hardly appreciate the intensity.
So, the correct way to apply darker tones is to wait until it dries completely and apply a second layer.
That is, you'll have to take it with patience and wait about 30 minutes until the ink has dried completely.
Well, there's my art advice of the day.
I know it's not much, but it helped me a lot.
We're almost done and as you can see, I'm now applying the darker tones after it's dried.
In this case, I'm applying black color mixed with purple color and I'm also making the lines of the teeth.
After we do the last touches and once we have it the way we really like it, we'll have to let it dry very, very well.
Once the watercolor is dry, we'll use this white ink marker to make the outline.
We're going to go through the extremities to highlight them more, through the mouth, through the eyes, to this way get a better finish and give it a better look.
It is important that this step is done in dry, otherwise the white ink will dilute.
Finally, we're gonna give it the galactic touch and for that, no, we're gonna do a bunch of little points all over the body so it looks like a real galaxy.
After this, we'll have it finished.
As you can see, it's a simple, quick drawing with a very nice result.
I encourage you to try it at home, it's easier than it looks.
And well, this is how it would be once it's done.
The truth is that I quite liked the result that these acurable markers leave.
If you want me to do more drawings like this, you just have to support it with a like or leave me some suggestions in the comments.
And before I say goodbye, I want to thank you all, because thanks to your votes we have been able to fulfill our dream of winning the Titan duel.
This victory is for you.
A huge hello and until next time.
