Strange Hippy Hotel From The 1970s (Everything Left Behind)

So we just hiked up this entire hill and we're gonna head right over there. I don't know if you can see it between the trees. There's a nice big old hotel over there. The lifeguard is wearing clothes in there. Wow it's frozen solid. Okay first stop on this adventure is the kitchen. So this would have been the main dining hall. Also it looks like there's a stage. So they must have entertained you while you ate. The hotel we're in today was a 150 room five-story hotel. It operated from 1929 to 2004. It was most known for its therapeutic sulfur spa and it catered primarily to Jewish clientele who traveled to the mountains for the summers. The architecture is Spanish colonial revival style and the most notable person that worked here was former New York City mayor Ed Koch who was a busboy here in the kitchen. So it's pretty interesting that we're here. We've got stark exploration with the facts. So this hotel is for the Jewish people, well mainly Jewish clientele. As you can see by the writing, by the Israel book. All baking done on premises which would make it kosher. Wow they literally nailed tables to the windows to keep people out. That's crazy. Okay now we're leaving the dining room. See what else we can find. Uh this looks like there was a gym at one point. Look, ceilings. Um kind of looks like a maid's closet but there's also stairs. Very old school looking elevator. Wow check this out. Well this would be the entertainment hall. Very nice stage here. I think what this is is they would have like fake horse racing. Maybe like on a track. I think that's and they would like bet on it. I'm not sure so leave a way up. Wow these stairs are creaky. Housekeeping. Let's go this way first. Oh wow it's pretty cool. What did they mean by cut toilet paper? I guess it's not on a roll. I can just imagine back in the day how awesome this place was. It was so retro. Had these massive 70s vibes. Must have been a pretty cool place to stay. It's sad to see it now. Hey maybe they'll restore it one day. Who knows. Here's one of those concierge carts. Put all your luggage on there. Bring it to your room. This one kind of looks like it's looped in currently. I'm entering I think it's the attic. This floor is not good.
