Hi everyone, it's Van Vu from Vietnam. Welcome back to my channel.
If you have watched the previous video, you know that I travel from Hanoi to Da Nang by train.
And today, I'm here at An Bang Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Vietnam.
And in this video, we're going to do a $50 challenge eating seafood.
We'll see with $50 how much seafood we can get.
But before we go, as usual, if you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture,
food, and travel tips, don't forget to follow my channel.
And if you want to support my channel, don't forget to buy the Waterfall merch.
All right, without further ado, let's go.
My first time seeing lobster this big.
Oh, look at this. It's like rainbow.
Okay, so first of all, in here, if you want to eat seafood,
you're going to look at all the fresh seafood here.
And then you can talk to a lady of what you want, and then she usually just measures it.
Ah, okay.
Thank you.
Oh my gosh, so there are a lot of seafood here.
I have amazing salad, shrimp, oyster.
So here, I'm going to try the shrimp first.
I love shrimp.
Whenever I eat seafood, I usually eat shrimp.
And actually, in here, they have a special sauce.
It's called the chili and salt dipping sauce.
And if you eat seafood, that's the must-try dressing that you should have.
It's so sweet.
It's tender yet firm.
The dressing mixes very well with the shrimp
because the dressing is spicy, sour, and sweet.
Oh my gosh, look at this one.
It's like grapes.
Okay, now I'm going to try the salad.
Yeah, the salad is very fresh.
And I really like the texture of this.
I'm not sure what it's called, but I will leave it right here for you.
This one is salty, a little bit bitter, and it's popping in your mouth.
It's just like boba pop.
This one can't focus.
Yeah, unlike boba tea, this one is salty.
Not sweet.
It's a very interesting texture, but it's really, really good.
I heard it's very good for your health as well.
So here is a crab with tamarind.
Usually, Vietnamese people would eat it steamed with lemongrass.
But in here is a special dish that they fry it with shallots and tamarind.
And it's supposed to be sweet and sour.
And as you guys can see, the claw is so, so big.
And now I'm going to break it and eat it.
Also, the tamarind sauce in here, you can order extra bread.
And then you dip it in there and eat it.
It's good.
Really, really good.
It's very meaty and sweet.
Fresh too.
So this one is the oyster fried with onions and shallots topped with peanuts.
It's very, very good.
I can smell it from far away when they fry it.
Oh my god, it's a lot of meat.
I love seafood, guys.
The oyster is very chewy, very meaty, sweet,
topped very, very well with the onions and the peanuts.
All right, now introducing you to one of my favorite seafood.
This is oyster grilled with cheese.
It is so good.
This dish, you gotta eat it hot because the cheese will melt in your mouth.
Because I was filming, so it's a little bit cold now, but it's okay.
I think it's good either way.
We'll see.
Oh, so good.
It has a little herbs in here.
I'll take it out.
Looks so good, right?
Guys, the owner actually recommended me this one.
At first, I wanted it to fry with the onions and with the peanut,
but then she said if she grilled it with cheese, it's gonna be even better.
And she was right.
This one is really, really good.
And if you want to order it in Vietnamese, it's called hàu nướng phô mai.
Try it, it's really good.
All right, guys, look at this clam.
It is so fresh.
And this one is actually a spoon for you here.
You just need to scoop some soup broth in here
and then voila, it tastes like the ocean.
I like the clams in here because I don't taste any sand in it.
You know if the clams are clean or not is when you eat it
and you feel if there's any sand.
It's not really clean, okay?
But this one is pretty clean because it's smooth, it's chewy, tender and very fresh.
If you don't know, you can actually drink from the clams broth
because it literally tastes like the ocean.
I'm not even kidding because it's savory, it's sweet
and in here you can smell the lemongrass, other herbs and ginger.
Tiny bit spicy as well.
It's really good.
When you come to a tourist place like this,
there will be many, many vendors who try to sell stuff to you.
And I know it's a little bit too annoying.
Yeah, sometimes I'm pretty annoyed too.
I mean, you can still support the local people.
It's fine, it's definitely good.
But sometimes people just take advantage of that
and they do it too much and I know how it feels.
So yeah, just don't make eye contact.
But if they are still very pushy, just say no or like you can say help
and then just keep doing whatever you're doing.
We didn't waste any food.
It's all clean.
Oh my gosh, looks like it's gonna be raining very soon.
It's coming guys.
Going up, I need some seafood.
Oh, they're cleaning up.
They're packing up because it's raining.
All right, so it looks like it's gonna rain very, very soon.
But I heard the rumor that the local people said
it has not been raining for a while and it just have a dark cloud like this.
So we'll see.
But I'm very full right now.
I'm just gonna relax for a little bit
because the weather is perfect, perfect right now.
It's very windy and it's chill.
