Later, I will take you to eat Che Thai, which is Thai, Vietnamese dessert and it's so yummy and always a to go dessert for a hot day. Here are the addresses for the Bun Ca and Che Thai:
Bun Ca: 69 Nguyen Hong, Hanoi

Oh my gosh guys, it's such a beautiful day today. It's 15 degrees in celsius right now and I'm just
craving a warm hearty soup and today I'm gonna take you guys to go with me to enjoy a very
delicious dish in Hanoi and it's warm, it's hearty, it's always my favorite. It's actually a very
popular specialties dish in Hanoi and if you come to Hanoi this is a must try
and this is called the fried fish noodles, bún cá and I'm gonna go to Nguyễn Hồng street to try
that dish because I have it all the time there and it's one of the best places in Hanoi that I found
so yeah let's go with me to explore how good it is. Alright so as you can see on Nguyễn Hồng street
they have a lot of restaurants like phở bò and then bánh đá cua but I'm not gonna choose
those restaurants. I'm gonna go over there to have some bún cá. Alright I'm gonna show you
a sneak peek at the kitchen to see how they make bún cá. The rice vermicelli is blanched and put
in the bowl. Some pieces of deep fried fish, vegetables and herbs are placed over the rice
vermicelli. The cook then adds some stock with pieces of pineapples and tomatoes into the bowl
representing the customer a steamy and delicious fried fish noodle soup.
Hello hello one two three four hello. Okay guys so here it comes.
Oh my gosh look at that oh the fried fish noodles bún cá look at this this is so beautiful guys
and as you can see the topping include fried fish of course, rice noodles, some veggies and
it's actually mustard greens or Vietnamese coriander or Vietnamese celery. Other than that
I can see pineapples, tomatoes, green onions, crushed turmeric and crushed ginger.
So now I'm gonna try the broth first and see how it tastes like okay.
Oh my gosh it is so clear, so light and so delicate and with the pineapples and tomatoes
it gives it a very naturally sweet and tangy taste. Just take one sip of broth and you'll
be blown away by how sophisticated the flavor is. Even though the soup is sweet and sour but I always
want to add extra sourness to it so I'm just gonna squeeze some lime in there
and then I'm gonna put some chili.
Yes every time I come here I just have the same excitement for this warm and hearty soup and I
can't wait to eat the whole bowl. Right let's take the first bite. I don't know if you can hear the
crunchiness from the fish but it looks so good and it smells so good. Oh my gosh so good, so good.
Oh my gosh the broth is definitely the spirit of this bowl. Everything balanced out so perfectly.
The broth is tangy, sweet, clear and delicate. The fish is crunchy on the outside but then tender
and very moist inside. The veggies are crunchy and fresh, the noodles are very soft and thin.
Everything is just perfect together. In Vietnam fish soup comes in many varieties such as
dipping fish, steamed fish, fish cakes and if you come to Nha Trang or Da Nang the fish cake
noodle soup is very very popular. In this restaurant they use catfish but if you go to
Mekong Delta you can see people use the fish, what is that called, the snack catfish and it really
depends on where you go but they all have one thing in common is that they taste delicious and
very unique. I can taste and smell hints of dills in here and if you guys don't know Vietnamese people
use a lot of dills in their fish soup and I feel like its aroma just reduces all the fishy smell
and it will enhance the fragrance for the bowl. Highly highly recommend you to try this fish
noodle soup when you come to Hanoi because it is one of the most popular specialties dish
in Hanoi. In a chilly day like today you can grab a hearty and warm noodle soup. Today is
gonna be so much better. You guys hear that? This is a problem in Vietnam. They have construction
everywhere, people fixing their houses every day and this is what you hear every day, air pollution.
Alright so I'm gonna finish this bowl before it gets too cold and then after that I'm gonna
take you guys to enjoy the best chè thái in Hanoi with me and I'm gonna meet with my friends there
so I'll see you guys in a bit. On the way there I saw people were joining hands to rescue Hải Dương
agriculture products such as cabbage, kohlrabi and carrots. Due to the impact of the epidemic situation
many agricultural products of farmers in Hải Dương province are accumulated and this puts the farmer
in a difficult situation. That's why many individuals and volunteer groups are helping
local farmers sell their items around Hanoi city. Even though Vietnam is nearly back to a new normal
life, I haven't heard anything new about the travel restriction yet. I'm gonna update more
with you guys if I've heard anything so don't forget to subscribe to my channel to get up-to-date
news about COVID-19 in Vietnam. And now I want to introduce you guys to one of the best chè thái,
the Thai dessert here in Hanoi. The address is at 75 Nội Cấn right here. Alright let's go and explore.
Okay guys so I have a bowl of chè thái right here. It smells really good. I can smell the creamy
coconut in here. So inside you I can see the green Thai, the signature ingredients in here,
taro, steamed banana and the white tapioca and some boba in there.
Everything just mixed together and makes the perfect bowl of chè thái.
Guys it's not overly sweet at all. I can taste the coconut cream in here. Really good.
What I like the most about this is that the steamed banana for some reason. I don't usually
like steamed banana but for some reason in here it balance out very well with other ingredients
like the Thai tapioca and everything. So the boba is chewy but like the green Thai tapioca
it's not chewy at all. It's just very soft. The taro is soft and it smells really good guys.
Wow my favorite dessert. So I remember when I was a kid my mom always brought me here after school.
So whenever I have like A- or A+, she always bought me a bowl of chè thái to reward me.
So it really brings me back to my childhood. I just asked the lady. She has been selling chè thái
for over 30 years. So she has been here over 30 years. I wasn't born like that.
But she opens from 9 30 a.m until all the chè thái is gone. You know probably like until 3 or 4
in the afternoon and now it's already 3. Last time when I came here
they're already gone. Like she already closed the store.
Satisfied. It's really good.
All right guys so that's our food tour today. I am so happy to introduce you to the two local
places for you to buy the one of the best fried fish noodles and chè thái in Hanoi.
And I can't wait to show you guys more to explore more about the Vietnamese food and
culture from north to south of Vietnam because it's gonna be on my bucket list.
I'm gonna go from north to south of Vietnam so don't forget to subscribe to my channel
to be on this journey with me okay. All right so I hope you guys have a good day. Have a good night
and I'll see you guys in the next video. Bye.
