WHAT IS BRAIN EDUCATION TV? Brain Education TV provides mental health and mental wellness videos to help young adults with loneliness, depression, and anxiety. The foundation of our content comes from Brain Education, an academic study from South Korea that stems from over 40 years of research and application and has been practiced by millions around the world.
WHY WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH… We suffered from high-functioning loneliness and depression our whole lives. We lived different lives in different states, but when we met, we realized we were struggling with common issues that reflected an important problem in our young adult generation. We didn’t know who we were, what we were passionate about, what we should live for, and what direction our lives were “supposed” to go. We spent a lot of time wandering in search of that magical ‘answer’ that will solve all problems (like I’m sure most of you are doing right now), and yet the further we searched outside, the more pronounced the emptiness inside of us felt.
Millions of people suffer silently from mental health related issues. Yet our society still places taboos around openly talking about relevant mental health topics like loneliness, depression, and anxiety. As a result, our young adults don’t know how to talk about it constructively, where to turn to, or what resources they have to combat this real-life threat to their wellbeing.
We credit Brain Education for giving us the courage to overcome our own mental health struggles and create the lives we want...and now we hope you can too through the videos we share on this channel.
Hello Earth citizens, welcome to this guided meditation for clearing your mind.
Follow along whenever you need to take a break and free your mind from stress and scattered thinking.
So before we begin, find a comfortable space away from distractions and make your body comfortable.
In this meditation we can do a seated position, so please sit down with your spine straight
and place your hands on your knees with your palms facing up.
Take a look at this beautiful scenery of a calm day on the water. Imagine yourself sitting on the
white chair and looking out into the water and sky in beautiful weather. Now take a deep breath
in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth. Deep breath in through your nose
and exhale out through your mouth. Focus your attention on your breath as you keep inhaling
in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Invite a sense of calm and relaxation
in your mind and your body. With each breath you get more relaxed and at ease. Your stress,
thoughts and emotions are clearing away and you're bringing your awareness into the present moment.
Keep breathing. Deep breath in through your nose and exhale out. If you notice any tension
or tightness in a part of your body, breathe into that body part and then exhale through your mouth,
release the tension and if thoughts enter your mind, simply notice them. Your thoughts are not
you, they are yours. You can be having all kinds of thoughts but it's up to you to focus your
attention on your breath and just notice your thoughts and when you inhale notice them and when
you exhale let them go. Inhale and exhale through your mouth. Inhale, breathe in a deeper sense of
calm and exhale. Again breathe in and exhale. Gently look at the imagery of the water and imagine
your body and mind is there in that moment relaxing. All the things in your mind and in your life
can take a pause for a few minutes. Let your mind be clear. Give your brain a break.
See if you can find a boat or subtle movements of the ripples of water or the movements of the trees.
Imagine the wind blowing through the trees. What that sounds like, what it smells like,
Again, deep breath in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth.
One more time, deep breath in through your nose and exhale. Bend your upper body forward.
Now rub your palms together. Create heat in between your palms and now place your palms
over your eyes and send the loving heat energy to the brain and the back of your eyes and your
face. Now sweep down from your hair, sweep down your hair, sweep down your neck, your shoulders,
sweep down your arms, sweep down your chest, sweep down your stomach, your legs, sweep down your
entire body with this beautiful energy. So how do you feel? Do you feel that your mind is a little
bit more clear? Do you feel that you are more peaceful and more in the present moment? I hope
you enjoyed this meditation. Please leave your comments and questions below and I'd love to hear
about your experience. Thank you so much for watching. Make sure to subscribe for more videos
