What's up guys, it's Christopher here.
Today I'm going to be showing you the 2020 Nissan Qashqai S front wheel drive.
The Nissan Qashqai was fully redesigned here in North America for 2020.
I showed you the Platinum a few months ago.
Now I'm showing you the standard entry level model, the S front wheel drive.
Let me know what you think of the changes.
Don't forget guys, I film a lot of Nissan videos.
I do a lot of vehicle unlocks, driving reviews, how to's and car tips.

Let's get started and check out the exterior features of the 2020 Qashqai.
You might know this vehicle as the Nissan Rogue Sport.
That means you live in the U.S.
Here in Canada and throughout the rest of the world, it's called the Nissan Qashqai.
Very very popular overseas.
It's becoming very very popular in Canada as Nissan is trying to get a larger chunk
of that crossover market.
This one, checking out the side profile, is going to be the S, the standard model like
I said.
It's not going to come with a lot of features on the side profile.
We can see we do have the nice body painted handles here so it's going to match the exterior
color.
And then we do have the chrome accents throughout the window.
LED turn signals right on the mirror here.
Exterior wise, you can see the changes to the Nissan Qashqai that they made from the
2019 model.
A little more black in the front fascias here.
And this is a little more swooping, it swoops a little lower the front end.
You can see the V-Motion grille, that's right below our flattened out Nissan emblem.
Coming standard is a lot of safety features in this Qashqai.
You get the Active Trace Control, Nissan's Intelligent Ride Control.
You get the Intelligent Emergency Braking with the Pedestrian Detection.
So this car will stop for you if you're about to hit a car or a pedestrian.
The headlights are a little different here.
You can see these little LED strips.
You're going to have your LED daytime running lights and then the headlamps are going to
be halogen.
But we do have these little LED strips as well.
No fog lights on this S model, you have to go up to the next package up to get the fog
lights.
But I really like the changes Nissan's made to the front end of the Qashqai.
It does give it a little more aggressive look, especially with this black front bumper here.
Not too many changes to the rear of the Qashqai from last year's model.
A little darker and smoked out headlights here.
It does come with a backup camera, that's right under your Nissan emblem.
That's mandated by the Canadian government now for all new vehicles.
And we also get our parking sensors along with our backup camera.
So for a crossover this is very easy to maneuver, very easy to park and then you have the cameras
that will assist you.
17 inch aluminum alloy rims come on this Qashqai S.
You're also going to get the standard four-wheel vented disc brakes, Nissan's anti-lock braking
system with the electronic brake force distribution.
So a lot of safety, four-wheel disc brakes all around and then you're going to have the
all-season tires as well.
No changes under the hood between last year's model.
The power plan is basically the same, it's a two-liter, four-cylinder engine.
It's going to give you about 141 horsepower and 147 pounds-feet of torque.
Going to come with everybody's favorite transmission, that CVT transmission that is coming standard
in all the Nissans now.
Which is going to give you about 8.8 liters per every 100 kilometers in the city and 7.1
on the highway.
So very good on fuel.
I really like the drive of the Qashqai.
You can choose to get the intelligent all-wheel drive, that's optional.
The one we're looking at right now is front-wheel drive.
You can pay a little extra if you want the all-wheel drive.
So the standard key is just your regular Nissan flip key.
It comes like that.
That's what you get in the Nissan Rogue S and the Nissan Qashqai.
When you go up to the SV, you get the push-button start and you get the Nissan intelligent key.
But this one is going to come with just the regular key.
So for a base model, this Qashqai actually has a ton of features when we jump on the
inside and that's where you have the most value with the Qashqai.
You get a lot of nice high-end tech features like the blind spot monitoring system.
You get the automatic headlights as well.
So it will help you turn the headlights on and off and the automatic high-beam assist.
So that comes standard now.
Safety features like I mentioned, like the forward emergency braking.
The one thing I think this car lacks is they didn't put the vehicle information screen
in between the gauges that they have in the Kicks or in the Altima.
I really like that vehicle information screen with the digital speedometer.
I wish they put that in here.
But this one is still a regular vehicle information screen that tells you everything you need
besides that digital speedometer.
The other one is a little more vivid.
A 7-inch touchscreen display, it has the Cirrus satellite radio, it has everything you need
in here.
No GPS, but you can hook up to your Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to use your maps that
way.
But other than that, you have everything that you need.
The seats are very, very comfortable if you're going on long drives.
I really do like this contrasting stitching here in the middle insert.
It is a manual adjustable seat, so you have to go up to the next packages up to get the
power seat.
But overall, the inside of the Qashqai, the fit and finish is very nice.
There's a lot of soft surfaces throughout.
That really helps on long drives as you like to lean on the door panel of the car.
You would think when you jump in the back of the Qashqai, from the outside, it doesn't
look like there'd be a lot of space in the back or headroom, but you can see I do have
quite a lot of headroom.
Leg space, I have quite a lot of leg space as well.
There's 2,718 litres of passenger volume in the Qashqai, which is going to give you also
about 96 cubic feet for you Americans.
Passenger volume, quite a bit of space.
I could sit back here for a long time.
It doesn't have as much space as the Rogue, but what I like about this is you are level.
There is a lot of nice features, soft touches, like I said.
There's ventilation back here, 2 cup holders in each door, so I could sit back here for
a long drive.
If you're buying a crossover, one of your biggest concerns is probably the space in
the trunk.
The Qashqai does deliver on that, and it's going to have about 648 cubic litres of cargo
space or 22 cubic feet.
These are the carpeted mats that come with it.
You can remove the tunnel cover here if you want extra space, and then the seats fold
down.
It's a 60-40 split.
You know, if you do the Ikea thing, you have a bit more space.
So guys, if you like talking about cars, let's get a good discussion in the comments section
below about the 2020 Qashqai.
