We are boat number like 30 today blast off is in 34 minutes. We'll probably blast off in about 40
All good, though
We got to catch us a limit today caught 16 pounds yesterday way better day than I expected if you have not seen yesterday's video
Go check it out. We'll leave a link in the description, but for whatever reason I had an absolutely terrible practice
I don't know how everybody else did in practice. I found
Three bed fish one of which I didn't think would ever be it two of which
I'd never ever thought what a bit actually and then yesterday somehow we caught all three of them found a big fry garter and got
Lucky and caught another couple fish just bouncing around efficient
So hopefully more of the same today stumble upon some nice ones catch the best or two
Yes
Got one
Not sure what happened to the yellow tick got me a bit fish number three lots of shorts today lots of shorts
There's a lot of new ones on bed, too
Thank you
It's got to be a 15 right there, dude
15 half
That is on the bed I
Shouldn't even have called him because I've seen him
It's two little ones you got 20
17 3 quarters on my scale, so it'll be like 18 in the quarter. I did better today guy like 18
Lucky
I don't know what
His second season on the Bassmaster Elite Series never been out of the top 10 in angler of the year from Alabama
Kyle Welcher
16 pounds even yesterday 5 here today
17 pounds 12 ounces and with 33 pounds 12 ounces Kyle Welcher moves into fifth place in this
Tournament and continues his assault on the Bassmaster angler of the year leaderboard
Kyle another great season you're having here, and I mean I know you guys never want to talk about it
But we are at the point where we're you know two days left in this event and only two more events left this season man
Two years into your elite series career you got to be pretty happy with the way
This is worked out always in the top 10 for angle of the year. It's unbelievable
Yeah, you know that's what I keep saying to it is unbelievable
It just seems like every time I need a bite. I just seem to keep getting it
It's not really something I can explain a lot of these tournaments
I don't really feel like I'm on very much where I can you know really get bites at wheel
It just keeps it just seems like every time I need a bite. I just keep getting one so hopefully tomorrow
I'll need five bites, and I'll get all five of them, so I'm looking forward to come back out here
My practice was absolutely terrible this week
I was hoping I would never have to see Guntersville again in my entire life and now tomorrow
I'm so happy I get to go back, so I'm glad y'all came. We'll see y'all tomorrow
Hopefully you see it all the way through to Sunday, and we look forward to seeing you at the Bassmaster classic
All right day three late Guntersville start here in about 20 minutes coming into this tournament
I told hunter I'd be happy with 55th place and somehow we did a whole lot better than that
So super excited about this one happy about this one because my practice was absolutely terrible
So we just picked up a worm big shocker bass like to eat worms
And we stayed in good areas, and we caught way more than I ever thought was going to catch
So hopefully we train together one more day and squeak into the top ten, but I'm already happy with how it turned out
So happy to be fishing the third day even happy to be in contention to win this lake has a ton of big fish in it
Just got to go catch us ten more over the next two days, so excited to get out there and stumble upon some
You're looking to double down in his first season back here on the Bassmaster Elite Series
One of those dear days of professional bass fishing from Parkdale, Oklahoma
Jason Christie
He's a six-time Bassmaster qualifier and three-time Bassmaster winner from Winnebago, Kentucky
Mark Menendez
Had a huge event on our last Elite Series event
Look at the title there
The Little Ball of Hate, Wes Larson
Yes, sir
First one I've caught flipping all week
That's a good one
And there ain't nothing I love more than flipping in a dang tree and getting a bite on a daggum D-bomb
Man, that freaking Garmin Krattsu hook won't
Can't help but get it out
There's a nice one baby
I'm a fan of that right there, dude
That's the earliest bite I've had
Heck yes, give me a two pounder first thing
Maybe a little bit better, but I'll take it. He looks long. He touches
Biggin, biggin, biggin
I watched him eat it
Watched him come eat it, dude. Get over here. Yes, sir
Yes, sir. Oh
Dude, it's so clear in here. It's like an aquarium and then you can just watch them come out and eat that dang wacky worm
I'm just throwing a
wacky rig weightless worm
Pitching it around
Anywhere, I think a bass might be lingering. Come on guys
Good one. Ah, he's coming through all the grass. Now he's got him balled up. 10 pound test
10 pounds of grass
Only a few pounds of bass
Seen him come out there and get that dang doe. That's awesome
Get the grass out of there for y'all, clean y'all's house up a little bit
Females in there too
Hurt me. Oh, I needed that bad
Now I can get that little little possibly not a keeper one out. The females look like a twice as big as him. I
think it's
Ain't got to worry about it no more
See that's why you don't loosen your drag right there
It's not perfect
So we had about the same number of bites today
Even had four bites, you know around three pounds and a couple bigger
So we got about the same amount of bites today
Just try to run a lot of new water and never really found
You know any better quality fish whenever I ran new water and that's kind of how it was all week
They were just certain little groups and these isolated grass patches
I found and today we milked it for all it's worth and didn't get enough bites to make it to tomorrow
But still had a good day and a good event
I wasn't on nothing the whole time
Truth came out today
There you go
Wow
She looks a lot better than you because you know that I do know that
That's the name of the game you're consistent when you're fishing I've learned a lot watching you. Thank you a lot about a frog
What's your professional opinion
Good sack of fish. Oh, we got
Let me see your little I got to 16
Yeah, that was
You ain't got two little ones. You got one little one. I mean, that's it
Almost a two-pound fish and then you got three three
Okay, that's what we need we need
He's never been out of the top ten in angler of the year his second season here in the elite series from Alabama Kyle
Welcher
33 pounds and 12 ounces for Kyle Welcher
Going into today needs 13 8 to get inside the cut 5 all alive 12 pounds 12 ounces
moves him into 13th place gives him 46 pounds and 8 ounces and sitting in 13th place and
Teddy's his spot inside the top 10 in our angler of the year race
And as I said never been out of that so having another great season two events ahead of you
Man settling into things nicely here in the elite series Kyle
Yeah
The problem is the next two events are gonna be the trouble ones for me because we got to catch some brown fish at some
Point as long as we stay in Alabama, I think I'll be okay, but heading up there fishing for small now
That's gonna get a little tough. But yeah, you know, this is where I've always wanted to be. We're on the elite
So I'm really happy that it's going pretty well for me. You know, I don't I don't know
It's not something that I can really explain it
Just I seem to just get bites whenever I need buys like today
I bet I had four keepers almost all day then I pulled to a pocket at our fish four times and all of a sudden
There's new fish sitting there and I catch me a limit. So I'm really happy to be here though
And like you said, I'm glad I'm selling in
Awesome to watch and we look forward to seeing your season complete. All right, so based on my practice
I'm extremely happy with the way this finish ended up. I think we're gonna end up around 15th place
They're still weighing in but that's my guess maybe
Somewhere inside the top 20 but had multiple big bites every single day of the tournament
that was a surprise to me because in practice I really didn't I just
Picked up a wacky rig and started flipping it around and everywhere that I thought a bass might be spawning or postponing or still
Suspended there from the shad spawn. So that's what we did. It worked out pretty good
Pretty excited about this one because worth practicing a while
