Hello guys, I hope you're all well.
Welcome back to my channel.
Welcome, of course, if you're new here.
My name is Freya.
I upload twice a week,
all things fashion, beauty, and lifestyle related.
Today, I have one of my favorite videos.
It is, of course, a Zara haul.
Before I get into showing you what I have picked up
from Zara, I have three packages over there.
Make sure you're subscribed if you're not already
with your notification bells on,
and make sure you are set and ready
with a nice, cozy drink.
I have a yummy filter coffee here, if you can see it,
so this is gonna keep me going.
And let's get into it.
So before I get into showing you the bits
that I have picked up from Zara,
I very kindly have a sponsor for today's video,
Ana Luisa, which is a jewelry brand
that I have loved for so long now.
This bracelet in particular is one
that every time I wear it,
I always get questions on where it is from.
It was one of the first things I ever got from Ana Luisa,
so it's so long ago now.
But they recently reached out again
and wanted to see if I wanted to try some new things.
So first thing to note is their packaging.
Obviously everything is beautifully wrapped and presented,
so that if you're looking for a gift idea for someone,
then I would highly recommend.
It's just one of those jewelry brands
that for me is like a timeless one
because the quality is so good.
It doesn't tarnish, and yet it's a reasonable price point.
Their jewelry starts from around about $39,
so it's very affordable and accessible to a lot of people
without the premium price point,
but still getting the premium quality.
Ana Luisa is a sustainable brand as well,
which is great, great for the environment.
They're aiming to have a zero carbon footprint
by the end of 2020.
So definitely a good brand worthy of investing into.
I've been after an ear cuff for so long now.
No piercing is needed.
So you can wear it like on the side of your ear there.
I don't know the terminology
for all the different areas on your ears.
Or up here at the top.
Thought that looked really cool.
And as well as that,
you could also wear it on the inside bit here like that
without having to go through the pain
of getting a piercing there.
Okay, I'm gonna show you these two together
because they kind of are very similar
and I got them to go with each other.
It's almost like a paperclip style chain necklace.
And then the other item that I got to go with it
that I thought matched quite nicely was this one,
which again is gold.
The last thing that I picked up is again another necklace,
but I got to go with it this, which I think this is genius.
If you have any necklaces that you want to extend,
then they sell this little extender,
which you can just attach to your necklace
and it allows it to extend.
So I'm gonna put it on this necklace
and wear it together with the other one that I've got.
It's like a hammered coin design.
Once that catches the light, it's so pretty.
So I've just attached the extender onto this necklace.
This is where it typically ends.
So if I show you where that would be, it would sit there.
And then with the extender, see, I really like that length.
And there we have it.
All the jewelry is now on
and I will leave a direct link in my description box
where you can shop all of these items yourself.
And now let's get into unboxing the Zara haul.
Rather than a sat down show you,
I'm just gonna try on and talk you through the fit
and everything of them.
I did get one thing from Zara Home
and it's actually not a homeware item.
It is a satiny slip dress.
So they have quite a lot of fashion
on the homeware side of things,
but it's usually a little bit more premium price point
in terms of the jogger sets and everything
are usually cashmere.
I saw this and I thought you could definitely wear this out
as a little night out slip dress
or a satiny dress on holiday.
Imagining this in like on the Amalfi Coast or something.
I moved this down and stand back a bit so you can see.
It's kind of like a slight cowl neck design
at the front there.
And the straps at the back just do up like so.
Oh, in case you're wondering what I'm wearing today,
actually, these are both new in as well.
So these are my Topshop Jamie jeans,
which I get in a waist 28, leg 30.
And I love this like sand color they've brought out.
Perfect again for warmer months,
just as an alternative to blue.
And then this I featured recently in my H&M haul.
I love this.
I'm living in it at the minute.
And they've also got another one,
which is in like a lemon color.
So yeah, love this.
And we'll leave both of these links below.
Cozy socks, a primer.
Okay, this is the satin slip dress.
This one was 29.99.
I got it in a medium.
Obviously the straps are adjustable at the back.
They're just that little tie detail
that you can just make it shorter or longer as you wish.
This section here up until here is double lined.
And then yeah, that little cowl neck design I love.
And you could definitely wear this on a night out,
I personally think.
Obviously it needs an iron, let's just ignore that.
I'm thinking more like I was saying,
like summer kind of like an everyday into evening dress
that's really super lightweight,
but yet still looks quite like, I don't know,
chic and dressy and nice.
I love that they're packaging,
they don't use like plastics or anything.
That is noted, well done Zara.
Okay, so the first thing that I'm gonna show you
is this top.
Okay, this is the top.
I got it in a small and it is 17.99.
I love this ruching and this cut here at the front.
It's quite a deep V, but because of all this ruching,
it's quite thick and it's double layered as well.
Very simple and plain at the back.
So yeah, I've got it in a small
and I'd say it's stayed true to size with this one
because it's a little, I wouldn't say oversized,
but it's not like a fitted style.
You know, it's quite loose and comfortable,
lightweight and flowy.
I've just paired it with these Primark straight leg jeans.
These are like a staple of mine.
I have them in every single color.
Just show you the detailing here a little bit closer up
and let's move on to the next item,
which we have again, another top.
And this is a really thick rib knit
with a zip closure front.
Okay, this is this top on.
It's a very nice fabric, feels very thick and supportive.
Has this little cutout detail as well.
So you could always just tuck it in there.
But yeah, I really like the fit of this.
They had this in black as well.
I picked it up in a small, it was 17.99.
I love this kind of peachy nude tone.
I think it's really nice when you're particularly tanned.
You could definitely layer this piece as well
with like a shirt underneath maybe.
Right, moving on to the next item.
Oh my God, I'm so excited for this.
So this is similar to the slip dress
that I got from Zara Home,
but it has a little more ruching detail, a crossover back.
Let's just try it on, shall we?
Okay, this is the second satiny slip dress.
Again, perfect for maybe like a summer vacay in an evening
or even like during the day or on a night out in England.
It is obviously a mini dress, so it's quite short.
It's not typically, I mean, I used to love
wearing dresses like this for nights out,
but now I just never really go out.
This is definitely something that more
that I have in mind for like a nice holiday in an evening.
And I will say 100% size up in this.
I went for a medium and it's still quite snug.
I would have liked it to be quite,
almost more oversized than this
so that I could ruch this bit.
Oh, I've just undone this.
So that I could ruch the bottom bit up even further.
So I might even exchange this for a large actually,
if they have it.
Because again, the straps aren't adjustable
and I feel like they're quite snug
and I'm not usually like, you know, I'm a size 10.
So medium usually would be fine,
but I do think I might see if they have a large
just to have it more of an oversized fit.
I think I prefer the fit of this one to the gold one.
This one's 25.99.
I think next up is, okay, it's kind of like this dress,
but in a top version.
So I'm gonna put my jeans back on and try this on.
It's got that ruching up the side again.
This is the like little tie detail on the side.
And obviously you can do it as short
or as long as you want really.
I mean, obviously I've done this quite cropped.
This would be really nice with,
I've got a black satin slip skirt, like a midi skirt,
which I think it would look really nice with.
Oh, one thing I did want to just add as well with Zara
and obviously just shopping online in general,
at the minute, I know a lot of people are saying
it's quite unfair on delivery companies
and we're putting them under too much pressure.
I ordered this with standard delivery expecting,
well, it's usually like three to five working days.
This whole order arrived in two days
and I was fully expecting it to be up to the five,
potentially even beyond, and it arrived so quickly.
And yeah, that's what I'm gonna say about that.
I'm not saying everyone needs to go out
and do loads of online shopping now.
If a little retail therapy
is a little pick-me-up for you, then why not?
And I, two of my favorite pick-me-ups are watching YouTube,
which I do every day, and shopping.
So far, I'm liking everything, which is not good.
My intention is definitely not to keep all of these items.
However, as with anything, when it comes to Zara haul,
I end up usually keeping everything.
15.99 this one was, and I got it in a medium.
Again, I'm happy with getting it in a medium.
The next item that I got, this shop,
this top comes with a skirt in a similar design.
I thought this was quite pricey for what it is essentially.
It was 29.99, and I got it in a small.
I've seen a few people wear this already
and the fit looks beautiful.
Okay, I can totally see why people like this top
and the fit of it, but actually, for me personally,
I don't really have enough to fill it out up here,
if you know what I mean.
I feel like there's plenty of give here on the bust area.
So if you are a bigger boot and wanting a fitted top,
I think this would be beautiful
and without a bra as well.
It's in a chocolate brown, which is a little bit different,
and I think quite nice.
I think it's nice to switch things up from black,
the usual black.
It's just a little softer.
The last thing in this box are a pair of trousers,
but I've actually got a top to go with it,
so let me just try and find it.
So this top and trouser co-ord,
obviously sold as separate,
but they styled it up together online,
and I thought it would be a really nice alternative
to loungewear, something that looks a little smarter
if on any of those days that you're working from home
and feel like a bit of a slob in loungewear,
but equally you don't wanna sit in uncomfortable jeans.
Let's try this on.
I am in love.
This is loungewear or like indoor wear as outerwear.
What am I trying to say here?
Loungewear that you could wear out totally.
This is so smart.
I love this top.
The top in particular is my favorite.
The trousers, I don't know if I'd,
would I wear these without this top?
Maybe.
Whereas the top I'd wear with jeans, skirt, anything.
Let me try and move you down a bit.
I love this like neckline and this shoulder detail.
There's actually no padding in here,
but it kind of feels quite structured, which I love.
And then the trousers are like cropped
and like pulled in at the hem.
So quite a flattering length, I feel.
Oh my God, I'm just obsessed with this set.
And it's the cheapest thing I've bought as well
of this entire haul so far.
So I'm in love.
Okay, the top is 15.99.
I got it in a medium.
And then the trousers I also picked up in a medium
and they are 19.99.
So let me just show you without the top.
Nice and high-waisted.
These are super, super high-waisted.
So comfy.
The material of this is literally like pajamas.
The next thing I'm gonna try on from this box
are these gorgeous plaza style trousers.
They're like pleated, super wide leg, floaty, flowy.
They look nice and high-waisted as well.
And I picked these ones up in a small.
So let's try these on.
Okay, I'm about to move you back to show you these.
Look how big these are.
To a lot of people,
I think this will be either a love or hate type thing
because of the size of them.
I love them, but I do have a but.
I have a but.
I do have a but.
And it's the waistband.
I want these to be quite fitted around the waist.
And I did get them in a small.
So they were quite hard to get over my derriere.
But once they're on, they're actually quite baggy
and they kind of drop a bit lower than what I'd like them to.
This was like a really nice white, low-cut bodysuit
on holiday again in an evening
with some nice sandals, like in Dubai.
Oh, dreamy.
I just don't think they're the best fit.
That's the only thing.
No, it's almost like a maxi skirt when you stand like this.
So these ones were 25.99,
which I think is a good price if they fit me well.
But for my body shape, unfortunately,
these ones are going back.
The next thing that I'm gonna try on,
I'm actually gonna try a few items on together.
So I've got this ribbed,
kind of bralette-style crop top in black.
And then I also have to go with it
a matching cord of a short.
This is very summery.
I'm obsessed with this.
Bermuda-style short in this gorgeous cream color,
which I got in a small.
And then I also got how they styled it on the website,
this like waistcoat jacket.
And you guys know I love the Zara Blazers.
And this is like a waist jacket, which I've never had.
Got this one in a medium though.
So let's try these all on together.
Okay, let me just run through the prices
and sizes of these items
before I go into detail about how I feel.
This top I got in a medium and it's $12.99.
The double-breasted waistcoat is,
oh my God, it's only $29.99.
Okay, I'm definitely keeping this.
I got this in a medium.
And then the shorts to go with it,
the Bermuda straight-style shorts,
I got in a small at $25.99.
But I don't like the fit of these ones.
I'll tell you why.
Because, again, a bit of give here,
and they're already sat quite low.
And then they're a bit too tight around my thighs.
Again, it's just my body shape
and the way that I was designed.
I would be more likely to wear maybe
like a white or black bodysuit,
this, and maybe some denim shorts.
I do love the outfit, just not on my body shape.
The knitted bralette-style top, love this.
Such great quality.
The only thing putting me off it is, again,
can't help being, what is it?
Itty bitty, titty committee.
Because there's too much give here.
I feel like I don't fill this out enough.
Waistcoat, at that price, I'm gonna keep.
This is like a classic that I think looks so expensive.
Can be styled a couple of different ways.
And like a thick color, like thick, good quality material.
I just love Zara Blazers, you really can't go wrong.
I actually don't have anything like this.
So it's definitely adding something to my wardrobe
rather than needing to replace it.
I definitely don't have anything like this.
This is what made me put in the order in the first place.
I have this blazer in four colors.
I have it in black, light gray,
a dark gray, and a chocolate brown.
So I was desperate when I saw that
they brought out the cream version.
I was desperate to get my hands on it.
It's the one with the four buttons on the sleeves.
Is it single breasted?
Yeah, single breasted.
It actually looks quite oversized, this one.
It was 10 pounds more than the other ones that I got.
Whether or not they've upped the price
and it's the same style,
or whether or not it's a different style altogether,
because it does look quite oversized for a medium.
Okay, now I love an oversized fit,
but I am worried this is a little bit too oversized
because I do have one this size in one of my other colors,
but it's more in wintertime layering it with hoodies.
I don't mind it being that oversized.
Whereas this one, I'm definitely more likely to wear it
in the summer warmer months
without layering loads of things underneath it.
89.99 this one was.
My others were 79.99.
So like I said, it is 10 pounds more,
but I am in love with each and every one of those blazers.
I wear them all the time.
And I honestly believe, hand on heart,
that I will keep the blazers from Zara forever.
The belt, it could look quite nice as well.
Hmm, do I exchange for a small
so that it is a little more fitted,
or do I keep it this oversized?
Okay, this is a bit of a wild card, this item.
I wasn't sure if I was gonna love it, hate it.
The top half of this dress is knitted with a high neck,
and the bottom half is like really floaty
in this gorgeous satin material.
It is quite a thick satin material though.
So I feel like this dress actually
would be perfect in autumn time.
You know when you're transitioning out of summer
into autumn and it's about September
and you have the odd like warmer day.
It's only 19.99.
You could definitely cinch in with like a waist belt
if you felt like you wanted a bit of definition.
And then it kind of just looks like a skirt and top.
This rich, deep gold with the cream is beautiful.
Last and final item I picked up.
It's actually a pair of trousers and a top.
They don't necessarily go that well together,
but I thought I would show you them on together.
So this classic pair of tailored trousers.
I have a couple like this from a brand called Lovies,
which I live in, so I thought I'd get that.
It's actually not creamy, as creamy as I thought.
This is a true cream, this top.
And this top, I'm obsessed with.
Really nice high neck, thick fabric.
Let's get trying this on.
This one comes in beige as well, I believe.
OMG, let's start with this beautiful top.
How nice is this?
I just feel like it's so classy, timeless.
Surely, if you buy a top like this,
you'll never become too old for it.
Do you know what I mean by that?
Like a real classic piece that you could just keep forever.
You could wear the necklaces in or you could bring them out.
I quite like to bring my necklaces out sometimes,
just so that they sit on the neckline.
And then the trousers, I love.
I got the trousers in a medium at $29.99.
The top was $29.99 and I got this one in a small.
The trousers, I definitely could have got a small in,
but the waist, big waist belt,
obviously allows you to cinch it in quite far.
And then this belt as well would look beautiful
with the blazer.
So if you threw the blazer on
and did like a big, thick waist belt
with a blazer kind of look,
that's really, really popular at the minute,
I feel like this would be a good belt to do that with.
Nice long length.
I'm five foot six for reference.
Well, just under actually.
Five foot five and a half.
What the hell?
So that is everything that I picked up.
