A few days in VIENNA, Austria!.
It just hit me that we're traveling the world.
Just landed in Vienna, Austria and we're doing the usual
what kind of currency do we have, is there a bathroom, I need to eat, I'm hungry kind of dance.
So we found a Burger King.
We're gonna go with bathroom first and then we'll figure out everything else after that.
But we're in Vienna!
Okay just kidding, they don't have a breakfast menu at Burger King
so now we're gonna go find a McDonald's.
Breakfast menu, oh yeah.
And we decided to do a two-day hop-on hop-off bus so that
two, we can learn a little bit more about the history of Vienna
and also use it for its, you know, transportation so we can just hop on and hop off.
It looks like Vienna is a pretty big place so this might be the smartest thing that we did.
Tell us three top Vienna facts.
Here they go.
So Ferdinand Porsche, who is the founder of Porsche, was Austrian.
Arnold Schwarzenegger grew up here in Austria.
And third fun fact is the oldest zoo in the world is from Vienna, 1752.
Finally made it to our hotel.
When we were planning this trip we couldn't find any Airbnbs
but I'm kind of happy that we didn't because this hotel has air conditioning.
A little bit of a crunch time right now
so we had to just grab something that we can eat before these guys have to work in the nighttime.
So we're in this really cool shopping center area
and we kind of found that little hot dog stand thing.
Kebab stand.
We're trying a hot dog and then this kebab.
We are here at the Schönbrunn Palace.
It's one of the most visited attractions in Austria.
We're just on the outside.
We haven't bought any tickets yet but we're just reveling in its beauty.
Pro tip number one.
Buy your tickets for the Schönbrunn Palace ahead of time.
There's a really long line and there's no guarantee that you're gonna get inside
when you buy that ticket because we actually went to go get a ticket
but they said you couldn't come in until three o'clock.
But for now we're just gonna go enter the back way and see the garden real quick.
So as you can see it's really beautiful.
Grounds are so beautiful right now and we are walking up to I think it's called Glorietta
but it's pretty hot right now.
One more other pro tip is bring an umbrella.
We're on our way to find Käsekreiners.
I don't know if I'm saying this right.
Käsekreiners?
I'm not sure but thanks to Liza for giving us a heads up to try this while we're here in Austria.
So we're on our way over there and hopefully it's really good.
It's supposed to be cheese filled sausages which sounds amazing.
We are currently in Vienna's 10th district called Favrethen.
Far from Vienna's center but this is where we went to get the Käsekreiners.
So now we're actually going to make our way to the city center so we can actually check
out the touristy spots like the opera house and all the palaces and all the museums.
The Viennese love their coffee right?
Well their McCafes are just as fancy.
Omar what did you find?
Check it out.
California beer.
Behind me is Vienna's opera house.
Home of the classical greats such as Beethoven, Mozart and Strauss.
Okay so we had tons of fun exploring the city center but
now we're gonna go try some wiener schnitzel.
It's a full day of sightseeing in Vienna.
Now we're going back to the hotel so that this guy can start work American time.
Tomorrow we have just a few hours to see the inside of the palace and after that
we're off to Budapest.
See you guys tomorrow.
We're inside the palace right now but we can't bring
cameras or video cameras.
I'll see you guys on the other side.
Mozart chocolate.
Tastes like classical music.
We're in an Uber.
We're gonna leave Vienna now.
