[ USWNT ] Outside Box Goals

Lindsey Horan, second straight game the U.S. has scored very early and it comes off of a good change of point out to Lindsey Horan and then she skips by Ashley Lawrence even though Fleming was chipping at her heels, really poor clearance. It looks like it was Zdorsky who just slides that one down right to Lavelle who's framing it at the top of the 18. U.S. has either hit the goalpost any sort of impetus and you can see how she peers it she gets it on her favorite left and then just pings it so clean ball is barely moving there's nothing Barron can do about that in the pressure on Horan on the turn it's blocked Don picks it up that's a quality strike bending away from Barron she could outstretch those arms that's a poor attempt it's blocked comes back to Horan she tees it out U.S. look at how central they are just filtered inside impact defense there Lindsey Horan has the awareness to try to bend that one Julie Ernst first has a go you know there's something they had to talk about at halftime and then Horan just curls that one in Barron can't get anything on it no defense for Morgan Santiago whips out but Rapinoe can chip Klag stay down U.S. scores one goal three assists Megan Rubino not the best day for either goalkeeper to this point Santiago's been all over the pitch here she comes out and U.S. has been slipping in behind so Santiago has to be on Morgan squaring up against the Korean defense Kristen and the sign of a true goal scorer is on the attack Boyd will try a long head blasted into the upper corner side shot what is this 40 yards out and that's 1-2 I mean look at this movement off the ball a little triangle play there and Carly Lloyd I mean she's she has picked out press shot is blocked Lloyd's shot 2-0 U.S. 2-1 they have taken the lead Lloyd started it Lloyd finishes it well you said it Glenn that was all Lloyd first just bonding her player off the ball and the beautiful slip pass and the follow-up not giving up on it tracking the play and finding her shot here she is in space just the clip-in with the right outside her foot the perfect bend is to get to the 2020 Olympics two goals today for Lloyd and it's another for the U.S. clipped in over the top Kristen Press will get her second she continues to score when given opportunity ejection right now that you can see on the Switzerland players this ball is just laying it over the top that's a shadowy black line that's staggered allowing press to get in behind and that's a clinical beautiful finish it hangs up nicely for her and that's Andy Sullivan with the vision with the tech has shown well for the U.S. off the quick restart press with a goal 7-0 U.S. quick restart foul put it in play get it forward guess what Crystal six minutes if you're Germany right now you're putting your hands in your head because you had them locked down but you're dispossessed because you played too and they've conceded two goals this center forward and being in the center of the field I think suits Crystal Dunn better than being out wide because she does you a press and the route's on and who knows where this will end up now she was trying to oblige wasn't she one back was there lovely cut back at the show that's fantastic she's done it again star of the show against Trinidad and on the score sheet immediately it's almost the same exact situation I'm going to try and go it's a smooth turn from Kristen Press and a left-footed effort which goes in how about that for an introduction Kristen Press Kristen Press one of the cleanest finishers in the game all she needs and her father was a goalkeeper for the HN national team there's a long way smashes it into the U.S. as the goal scoring rampage goes on here in Alabama no pressure on the ball for Amy Rodriguez and she just walks it in and says okay measuring this up from distance and hitting it from the superstar from the world cup has given the crowds what they came for beauty this is takes that deflection no chance there for Diaz just a little bit of a nick will find Megan Rapinoe edge of the area Megan Rapinoe drives in Alex Morgan ahead of Carly Lloyd who elects to go to her right hand side Lloyd still Lloyd
