Hello ladies and gentlemen, it's Christopher here bringing you another episode of Cars Unlocked.
Today we're inside the showroom of Collins Nissan 155 Scott Street in Niagara, Ontario.
I'm super excited because I'm going to be presenting to you
Nissan's badass sports car, the 2017 GT-R. This one is the premium,
fully redesigned in 2017 from the previous model. Let's take a closer look.
This one is in the gorgeous blaze metallic, a nice orange look to it. You can see it does
come with our GT-R badge right on the front and our forward sensors here. So a little bit of
change that they added to the front grille of the GT-R. You can see here is our intercooler and
cooler. Super aggressive front splitter added on here gives it a nice aggressive sporty look.
So it does come with Nissan's patented LED signature headlights, which are all automatic
on and off. And the fog lights are down below. Gorgeous body lines on the front of the GT-R.
You can see we do have the dual hood scoops on each side there.
Taking a look at the rims of the GT-R, you can see we do have the 20 inch
raised forged aluminum blacked out rims. It also comes with the 15 inch floating
disc brakes. So you can see on the side, we do have this gorgeous GT-R badging,
as well as the air vent here going into the wheel well. Under the hood, all these GT-Rs
are all hand built in Japan. There's only five people in the world that can build these cars,
and they're called Takumis. This one, as you can see, has the Takumi signature right there.
So you know it was hand built and quality craftsmanship has gone into the engine.
The engine is a 3.8 liter V6. It's got twin turbocharged engine in it to give you a super
high horsepower of 565 horsepower at 6,800 RPMs. To reduce rate, it does use a dry sump.
It is a heavy sports car. It weighs in about around 4,000 pounds,
and it can do zero to 60 in 2.9 seconds. If you look closely, you can see the carbon fiber strut
brace, which is going to help transfer load when you're cornering. So one of the unique things
about the Nissan GT-R is not only is it a track car, but it is equipped for everyday driving.
The programmable dampers are going to give you a stiffer ride if you do want that sporty feel,
and you can soften it up for everyday driving so it's not very stiff.
Taking a look at the rear, we can see these quad skyline style headlights,
and it does have a rear sonar and backup camera for added visibility and backing up.
You can also see this nice aggressive rear spoiler right above the trunk. So to add to
the aggressive sound of the GT-R, you can see it does have these quad exhausts. As you can see,
it does come with the standard Nissan intelligent key with our GT-R badging, our lock, unlock,
trunk, and panic mode there. It has the keyless entry. I just need to push the button to open it,
and the handle pops out, and we step into this gorgeous interior here.
This one does come with the gorgeous Rakuta tan leather, matching the blaze metallic orange on
the outside. It does have a nice orange and black theme. So the unique thing about the Nissan GT-R
is not only is it a track style supercar, but it does feel very comfortable driving it in everyday
environments. You got a ton of creature comforts. You have an eight-way power adjustable driver's
seat and a four-way power adjustable passenger seat. Both front seats are heated. On the steering
wheel, we can see it does have the nice leather wrapping steering wheel. It is an automatic,
and it does have the paddle shifters to shift your gears manually. Here you can see on the wheel,
we do have our radio controls and our cruise control, as well as our cell phone controls there.
Very similar to some of the regular Nissans that we see, but in addition, we do have this start
and stop button here. That's for when using the track timers and the launch mode,
so you can start your timer and turn it on and off. It is a dual clutch automatic transmission,
very smooth flowing through the gearbox, and I can use the paddle shifters as well to shift here.
As I said, this car is perfect for driving in everyday environments too.
It does have the all-wheel drive system, which makes it great for cornering,
really holds the front end down. The system is the Nissan Intelligent
all-wheel drive system, which is going to add force to the front wheels to give you
a better grip on the road if needed. It's also going to help in the snow if you do choose to
drive your GT-R in the snow. Like I said, this is really a unique car because you can do both
types of environments. It does have a lot of comfort features and standard features that
you are seeing in most Nissans in 2017, like our SiriusXM traffic and our satellite radio,
the full touchscreen here. This has the newest version of the Nissan Connect. There's actually
11 less buttons than the old body style because of this Nissan Connect system, and I can do my
GPS points here. It also can just come with this iDrive style dial here, which is just going to
help when you're navigating your menu as well. I can press this button instantly to use the voice
commands. Standard heating system, we do have Nissan's dual zone temperature control here, so
your girlfriend can be hot and you can be cold while you drive. Here, there's a different drive
mode, so you can adjust different things. I can put it into the R mode, which is the race mode
here. I can put it into comfort mode. I can turn the electronic stability on and off, and once I
have found a drive mode that I like and I'm comfortable with, I can save it using the save
button toggle down here and save my different drive modes, so I don't have to customize it
every time. I can play around with the different functions here, and I can select my different
gauges. As you can see, I can see my boost, my pedal acceleration, my current speed. There's a
track timer. There is an acceleration timer, so you can time how fast it takes to get to a certain
speed. As you can see, I can see my g-force. There's a lot of different variables that this
car will tell you using the vehicle information system, and it makes it a lot of fun to drive
and a lot of fun to kind of learn as you're driving. If you don't want to listen to the
roar of the engine, it does come equipped with your Bose 11 speaker system, and the Sirius XM sounds
great. So thank you very much for watching another video. Don't forget, we're inside the showroom of
Collins Nissan 155 Scott Street. If you want to see more videos like this, hit that like button
