Selena Gomez has been keeping herself busy amid the pandemic, settling into her mansion
in Encino, cooking on TV, and getting her brand new Spanish album ready.
Not to mention, at the end of 2020, she finally sold a cottage-like home in Los Angeles she'd
had on the market for a while.
In honor of Selena releasing some new music, let's check out where she's been spending
most of her time these days.
She even created a music group in her new pad.
In these videos we don't reveal any addresses and even though I've done a house tour of
Selena Marie Gomez is known to us all as a successful singer, songwriter, actress, and
even TV producer who got started on Disney like many of our fave stars.
Her studio album Rare, released in 2020, was her third number one album in a row, and during
the pandemic, Selena was able to create her first fully Spanish album that has just been
released.
It seems that her mansion, with both a gorgeous music room and history from a music icon who
used to call this place home, provided Selena with some inspiration during these strange
times.
At the time of this recording, Selena has amassed a net worth of $75 million or more,
but you might be surprised that prior to this Encino estate, her luck with real estate kinda
sucked.
Hey guys, it's Kara the Vampire Slayer and I'm bringing you another house tour here

We've talked about Selena Gomez's homes in the past, but it's a new year and now
that she's made her Encino mansion her own, we'll see how the singer settled in, as
well as check out the smaller house that she just finally sold.
On this channel we talk about celebrity houses, but have you ever wondered about their fashion
or purchases?
Like how much Lady Gaga's beloved Frenchies cost?
We recently started a new channel, Famous Fashion, where myself and some other hosts
are reporting on all things celebrity fashion and purchases.

Most recently, in what seems to be a Valentine's Day weekend gift to herself, Summer has yet
another big car to add to her driveway.
While it may seem more practical, her new designer SUV was far from cheap.
As always, don't forget to follow me on Instagram, and now let's get into this video.
Just to get an idea of where Selena came from, a world away from the glitz and glamour that
surrounds the singer today, she was born and raised in Texas, in the small city of
Grand Prairie in Dallas County.
For most of her childhood, Selena lived with her mom after her parents divorced when she
was only 5, and the two lived in this quaint home for nearly a decade.
This humble abode had 3 beds, 2 baths, and was 20 minutes from the heart of Dallas.
Most recently, the home is estimated to be worth about $174K.
In the past, Selena has opened up about the financial issues her family faced when she
was young, but she still has a lot of love for her roots and former home.
The singer even made a nostalgic trip back to Grand Prairie in 2018 to visit her old
childhood property and posted it on her Instagram.
After 2 years of sitting on the market, Selena finally unloaded her Hampton-style bungalow
in Studio City, Los Angeles in Fall 2020.
The perfectly maintained property was a bit difficult for Selena to sell, first briefly
putting it on the market in 2017, again in 2018, and then again just before the pandemic
with a reduced asking price.
Still, the 3,400 square foot abode had no takers and was relisted a month prior to the
sale, before finally closing for $2.37 million.
The 1950s single level home has 4 beds, 4 baths, and both wide plank oak and aged herringbone
brick floors throughout.
The classy abode is almost invisible behind a 20 foot high hedge and protected by an intense
security system.
And inside, there's an open plan layout with narrow entryway that flows into a combined
formal living and dining room.
Here there's one of the traditional fireplaces and listing photos showed a piano featured
in the dining space.
The center of the home boasts a windowless room that could be used as a study or an office,
and it still has a ton of natural light thanks to a sprawling skylight.
There's also another whitewashed brick fireplace.
Then the great room and gourmet kitchen offer a lounge space with marble topped bar, and
the eating area flows out to the yard via French doors.
There were two guest rooms, one had an entire wall of mirrored panels, and they both shared
a marble bathroom.
Selena's former master suite on the other hand was privately set at the back of the
house, overlooking the backyard, where she had a walk-in closet and glittery white marble
ensuite.
The property also came with a detached guest house with living room and an air conditioned
workout room or yoga studio.
Out back, the cute LA property had a covered brick dining terrace perfect for outdoor meals,
and there was also enough room for a stone-lined swimming pool and spa.
Aside from unloading that bungalow, Selena had quite the year, kicking off 2020 by releasing
her album Rare, and treated fans to a makeup line of the same name.
She's also been producing movies and hosting her very own cooking show, Selena and Chef.
And amidst it all, Selena made a big purchase and moved into her new home in Encino, Los
Angeles.
Despite her busy schedule, Selena has been able to settle into the home finally and enjoy
quality time alone in her new residence.
Formerly owned by music legend and rock star Tom Petty, the mansion cost Selena just shy
of 5 million dollars and came with quite the Hollywood history.
It was custom built by the late Tom Petty and his first wife Jane Benyo in 1989 after
an arsonist set fire destroyed the Tudor style mansion they previously lived in on the .87
acre property.
This time around, Petty had the estate built in a unique style, best described as glamorous
mountain lodge meets contemporary villa.
Or something like that.
Today, the home has been expanded further by following owners, and now spans 11,483
square feet of living space with 6 beds and 10 baths.
While Petty himself loved the home, he gave it up in his 1996 divorce and his ex Jane
continued to live here until 2015, until the high maintenance mansion was lost to foreclosure.
Most recently, it was owned by music producer Randy Spandlove who sold the place to Selena.
Located in the heart of Encino, Selena's neighbors include the likes of James Charles
to Logan Paul to actor Vin Diesel just next door.
Set at the end of a quiet street and completely gated driveway, her multi-level home boasts
a handful of hidden passageways, secret panic rooms, and a floor plan to delight residents
of any age.
The double height living room is epic to say the least, with a stone fireplace that spans
multiple levels, up to the upstairs balcony, and to the roof.
The airy common rooms are open plan with skylights overhead, tons of light, and brown driftwood
flooring.
We can see that Selena has settled into the space and her living room boasts a comfy beige
sectional with fluffy white cushions, and a matching wooden coffee table, making it
the perfect place for her to hang with family, friends, or even her dogs Daisy and Winnie.
The kitchen is full of whitewashed brick and high-end appliances, making it a cook's dream.
Selena has been sharing a lot of fun content from this kitchen for her show Selena & Chef,
and the space also boasts two separate kitchen islands featuring grey marble counters and
blue chairs.
Exposed wood beams on the ceiling and ornate golden fixtures add a rustic charm to her
contemporary kitchen, which is clearly one of Selena's fave rooms.
Not only is there a full recording studio in the mansion, there's a cool sunken media
room from the original structure that was formerly used as a pit for acoustic guitar
players.
It's since been updated with new wood, a large viewing screen, and a wet bar.
Selena also created a dedicated music room for herself where she can practice singing,
piano, guitar, you name it.
The room has a white piano with matching rug underneath, dark green floral patterned walls,
white trimmed windows, and burgundy chairs.
There's also exposed wooden beams on the ceiling and a basket of logs that suggests
a fireplace here.
Selena's mansion has two master suites, one upstairs and one downstairs, each with
private balconies, walk-ins, and spa-style baths with soaking tubs.
Whichever one Selena decided to settle in, her bed appears to be decked out in silk pillowcases
against an elegant beige headboard.
Her room is also a place she loves to take selfies, and it matches the elegant white
theme of the rest of the home.
Other highlights include an upstairs yoga studio, massage room, a gym, a second indoor
kitchen, and a wine cellar.
Out back, what LA home is complete without this staple?
Of course, Selena has a gorgeous tree-shaded pool set into a stone terrace with additional
hot tub.
Elsewhere, the back garden has a stone canopy and full outdoor kitchen and grill, so Selena
has plenty of room to entertain guests.
Pretty sure I said this last time but I'll say it again, Selena's mansion is one of
my favorite celebrity homes ever.
Not only because it was formerly owned by one of my idols, the late and great Tom Petty,
but also because the home itself is breathtaking.
After checking out the homes of Selena Gomez and how she's decorated and settled into
her Encino mansion, what did you guys think?
What were your favorite rooms or features in the home?
I personally loved all of it, especially that great room with towering fireplace and the
airy open white theme throughout the place.
Not to mention that sunken media room was super cool.
