Today, we're going to do something quite exciting. We're going to grow mustard microgreens in just a few days. We can grow mustard microgreens in both water or soil. Today, we're going to do it in water. We can use any type of container with good drainage. For me, I'm going to use 2 trays. One with drain hose and another without the drain hose. And I'm going to put the one with the hose on top of the other one. Now, I'm going to place 2 pieces of wet paper towels on top. And spread the seeds all over on the paper towels. Mustard seeds can germinate really easily so we don't have to soak it in water. I'm going to cover them up with another 2 pieces of paper towels. Water it daily. If there's additional water on the bottom, throw it out. I'm going to place the tray under the shade. The best temperature to grow mustard microgreens is 70 degrees F or 21 degrees C. As you can see, after only 1 day, some of these little sprouts came out. And after 2 days, even longer sprouts came out. I'm just going to take out the paper towels at this point. And after around 7 days, you can harvest the greens with a pair of kitchen shears. After harvested with a pair of kitchen shears, the greens will not grow back. But if you're craving for more, just grow them in 7 days. The taste is very fresh, kind of spicy, like wasabi taste. You can use it in salad, spring rolls, stir-fry, or even soup.
