For our 2nd Stop in Cambodia we head north to Cambodia's capital of Phnom Penh to explore myriad markets and indulge in the street food offerings. Phnom Penh is a world away from the the peaceful fields and idyllic landscapes of Kampot and we embrace the mayhem with empty tummies and a spirit of adventure. While wandering around Phnom Penh it seems every block has a new market and new street food offerings. We love street food, but here more than some places, it's very important to select carefully which street food vendor you will eat at. The standard of hygiene for street food prep varies widely so we try to stick to eating only things that are well cooked (recently)...or ice cream (some things are worth the risk). We did our best to tour every market in Phnom Penh, and while I'm sure we missed a couple markets, we certainly toured many of them, though we only detail highlights of our market tours in the video. Our favorite market in Phnom Penh has to be the Night Market by the riverside. Enjoy!

And we are off to our guest house in Atuktuk.
There's just a tiny bit more traffic here than in Kempa.
We went to the VIP theater.
This is awesome.
They got blankets and pillows.
Popcorn and drinks are included in your $12 ticket.
We're here to see Star Wars.
And these are cushy seats.
God, these are awesome.
Check out the view from the balcony.
This is the old market.
Think I need a ponytail?
Maybe.
And that is what they look like fried.
Pretty tasty.
Tasty.
Now we're at the Olympic market.
Kate's trying to find some pants.
This is overwhelming.
Every type of clothing and fabric you can imagine.
Except for the pants Kate's looking for.
Yeah, don't have those.
They said Thailand.
Okay, no Cambodia.
Guilty.
Gotta love it.
And there's monks on a moto.
We are having an amazing trip.
We have had the most interesting weather.
Magnetic Island, we got like the only day of rain in the whole year.
And in Phnom Penh, it is freaking cold.
And we have shorts.
Some days, this is open.
Today, it's not.
This is the Wat Onalum Monastery.
This is the central market.
We're gonna see what we can find.
You thought we've seen enough markets?
We haven't.
Crossing traffic in Phnom Penh is blood sport.
Just kind of walk out and hope nobody hits you.
Seems to work well.
I've coined it chaos without malice.
Doesn't seem like anybody's actually trying to hit you.
And they'll even slow down as long as you're moving.
I'm pretty sure that's Louis V.
I found my pants.
Legend has it that hidden somewhere deep inside the stalls of this building
is an actual Rolex with real diamonds.
Totally legit.
Kate's eating jackfruit.
It tastes kind of like camel.
It's delicious.
This is the most touristy of the markets that we've been to.
Every place except for one that we've asked for a price on something,
we've been given a ridiculously high price.
When you're here, bargain a lot.
How's your eye?
Good.
A bug flew in it and crawled around.
We're getting some of those.
And this is the food court.
This is bent.
We have gizzards.
Coconut ice cream and chocolate ice cream in a coconut shell.
And then we just met Oscar from Mexico.
Well, the Phnom Penh night market is the most enjoyable market, I think, in the city.
Yeah, and we have been to some markets.
Been to every one but the Russian market, I think.
Make sure to go here.
Oh, what to do on a rainy day.
Today, we're in search of the best barbershop because this needs to be taken care of.
This is how we spend Christmas Eve.
Oh, yeah, and I got a haircut.
Grapefruit.
What's the name in Khmer?
Trotlong.
Yes.
Trotlong.
Oh, very mild.
Cool.
This is our Christmas sleigh ride.
Merry Christmas.
That's how to spend Christmas.
Click the thumbs up and subscribe.
Oh, now that was good.
