16 Ford Escape SE @ Mike Knapp Ford #fordusa

Hello ladies and gentlemen, it's your favourite Ford salesman, Christopher Van Wicken and we're outside of the Mike Mapp Ford here in Welland, Ontario and I'm going to present to you the 2016 Ford Escape SE. This one's in a lovely awesome white and has a few additions to it. It includes the navigation and the leather comfort package which I'm going to go over on the inside of the car. Here's a nice shot of the front. Comes with the LED fog lights there. In this SE-L you get the 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. You can add a chrome package to this which is going to up it to 19-inch chrome rims but this one is coming with the aluminum alloy standard wheels. Okay, so I'd like to start with the power plan. This specific one is the 2-litre EcoBoost engine in the all-wheel drive. It's going to give you about 240 horsepower with the EcoBoost. You can go down to a 1.6 if you want a little better fuel economy which is going to give you about 178 horsepower. The fuel economy on the 2-litre is rated around 10.9 litres in the city and 7.9 on the highway. Very good fuel economy and very good on gas because of the EcoBoost turbo engine. It's going to come with a six-speed power shift automatic transmission and a full warranty. Three years $60,000 and five years $100,000. What I also like about these escapes is it's going to come with five years roadside assistance as well. In the SE package you also get the key code access on the door making it very easy to get in and you can never lock your keys in the car. It also has on the key a power lift gate, your remote locks and a panic button. Let's move on to the inside. In this SE package we have added the leather comfort package to this one. It's a beautiful black charcoal leather here. You can see with the white stitching gives it a nice luxurious and fine touch. Everything is leather wrapped from the wheel to the center console to the shifter knob. All throughout the vehicle is a gorgeous charcoal leather. Okay now that I'm in the cabin and have it started up where to begin. A ton of features on this package as you can see. I'm going to start from the left where we have our automatic headlights, our fog lights and our power lift gate. All the mirrors and windows are on the door here. Moving on to the wheel your cruise control, your radio controls and bluetooth and cell phone controls are all on the wheel. You also have the controls for your vehicle information that is displayed on the middle screen here in between your two gauges. So I can see things like kilometers to empty, average fuel economy, current mileage, things like that. Temperature, there's a digital speedometer, a ton of different displays. Here I can control the radio, I can put the volume up or down with the wheel and I can cycle through my presets right on the wheel here. I can also make calls and answer calls with the hands-free button and control my radio. New to this year's package is the SYNC 3 display and entertainment system. Very easy to use, all touchscreen. You can see we have the Sirius satellite radio which sounds awesome. You can control the heating right from the screen there which I personally really like. This one down here is sometimes interfered by the shifter knob so it's perfect that I can control on this touchscreen here. You can also use the voice commands to control the climate control which is very neat. You can sync your phone to do the bluetooth, the bluetooth audio streaming, text messaging assistant. Lastly here's a good shot of the navigation. A little different from last year's, very easy to use. You can just search for the destination there with the touchscreen or voice commands. There's also all the google. Very easy to use navigation screen. Very vivid map, a little different from last year, a lot more brighter and inviting. As you can see it's really easy to use with the touchscreen or voice commands whatever you prefer. There's also the google points of interest where you can find your closest restaurant, gas station, hotel. You can save your different addresses in your favorites. It's very easy to use. You can also control the radio with the manual buttons here but everything is easy with the touchscreen. As I showed you a few minutes ago the heating is down below here which I can just set into auto and you have the dual climate control for both sides. The leather seats are heated so you can see the control here and you have a very deep center console with a cup holder in the bottom which is very cool and you also have two usbs if you want to charge your phone or device. Here's a nice shot of the rear as I mentioned it's got a beautiful leather interior all throughout the car. Nice charcoal leather and you have the center armrest there which is going to fold down if you go through a drive-thru or want to rest your elbow there. Unique to the Escape is the 110 volt power converter there. You can see you can plug in your laptop or ipad and charge it up as opposed to using the usb in the center console. A ton of storage in this vehicle. There's lots of matte pockets and lots of storage in the door there. The rear windows are tinted for a little more privacy in the back. On the back of the Ford Escape as you can see we have the EcoBoost four-wheel drive badging and the backup cameras right underneath the Ford emblem. In addition to the backup camera you also have the reverse sensors which help when you're parking and backing up in those tight spots and as I said you do have the power lift gate which is going to open it up just with a touch of a button and you can close it with the touch of a button.
