Before I introduce what Monja is, let me show you Tex-Mex factories in Shibuya.
It's my favorite Mexican food restaurant.
As you guys all know, this is my best friend Konnapi.
Cola oishii. Delicious.
Guacamole.
How you pronounce guacamole in Japanese is GAKAMORE.
Maze maze. Mix mix.
And this burrito was so good.
For dinner, we came to Monja place in Shibuya.
The name of this restaurant is KU-YA.
There was a long line at outside.
This is an octopus leg.
And we also ordered mushrooms with butter and garlic.
Be careful with the hot plate. It's really really hot.
Itadakimasu.
This octopus was really soft.
I said UMA which means really delicious.
Looks like mushroom is also ready.
So now finally this is Monja.
This is spicy fish eggs, tarako.
Monja is like okonomiyaki but uses different liquid ingredients.
It's a fun dish where you start with a bowl of chopped up ingredients
then fry them on an iron plate.
The reason why it's black is it's a squid in seafood Monja.
The common Monja color is brown like this.
This is how you make Monja.
Pour liquid in the circle.
And then you have to wait for about 5 minutes.
Ok, so now it's ready. So mix them all up.
It can end up with a feeling of eating melted cheese.
I know, how it looks is really gross, but trust me, the taste is really good.
We add extra cheese.
My opinion is adding extra cheese makes anything delicious.
Ok, this might be too extra, but no problem.
And how you eat is you have to use this spoon.
Gosh, this spoon is really hard to scoop.
It's super hot.
When you eat it, please be careful.
My favorite way to eat is to make it crunchy.
So do you guys want to try it? Yes or pass?
Oh, we also ate yakisoba.
After the meal, we came to the bar in Shibuya.
