I'm a YouTuber.
So I'm in the middle of what looks like a desert in Turkey.
I'm on a pit stop with this bus that I'm taking to this city that I can't pronounce.
And I just want to document the process of traveling to very remote areas of Turkey
where you don't really know how to get there and you just find out on the way.
How much?
Seven.
Seven?
Where are you from?
Bangladesh.
Bangladesh?
Yes.
Here you go brother.
I'm a YouTuber.
Nadir, on the go.
So I was really hungry so I just got an ice cream.
Tastes like normal ice cream.
Landscapes are sick.
How much is the chai?
So right now I'm in this city called Eder.
Hope I'm pronouncing that right.
And I hadn't honestly even ever heard of this city in my life
until I was in Trabzon bus station like three or four days ago.
And I was about to catch a night bus, two cars.
And then I started talking to one of the bus drivers for another bus.
And then we were really talking for a while and we became friends.
He told me that he is from this city, Eder.
And then the next day his brother or sister, I'm not sure,
messaged me on Instagram and just invited me over to this city.
So it's crazy.
So if I get stranded here, if I don't get to Deobezit,
then I have somewhere to stay for sure in this city.
Let me show you guys what I usually always travel with.
I basically travel with two backpacks.
One is the main bag which has my clothes and my toiletries
and I think right now my gimbal for my camera too.
And this one I usually put in the back of the bus.
So this one stays locked.
So Turkey is a very safe place. No one usually steals stuff.
But I still like to lock things up if I'm going away from them.
This is my main bag.
This has like a $2,500 laptop, my camera, my extra lens,
my GoPro, my drone, and my extra hard disk.
So this one always stays close to me, always right in front of me.
Even if I go into a tiny bathroom, this never goes out of my sight.
This goes with me.
And when I'm usually walking around, I walk with both backpacks.
One behind me, one in front of me.
And the expensive one stays in front of me so I can always have my eyes on it.
And then of course I have my fanny pack,
which usually just has my power bank, tickets if I need them,
and my passport in this back pocket.
And of course my phone and my wallet over here.
So the bus to Doğubeyazıt is supposed to be 500 meters that way.
That's what someone told me.
This bus to Doğubeyazıt.
What time will it leave?
10 minutes?
Where are you from?
Bangladesh.
I'm a tourist, so I'm traveling around.
So I found the bus to Doğubeyazıt and it's leaving in 10 minutes I think.
So I'm just getting another Pepsi because they offered and I couldn't say no.
I was wrong about no one speaking English.
A lot of people seem to speak English here,
at least enough for me to get to the other city.
Hello.
What's this called?
I'm not hungry, is it?
How much is it?
6 lira.
So I just went to check out what this thing that they're cooking is
and they just handed one to me and I have to try it.
Do you know what this is?
Kofte?
This is just something called kofte,
which is basically meatballs in like a durum
and there's like some onions with it.
So this is like a bit of a tough, tough bread.
But it just tastes like normal meatballs.
It's pretty good, but I'm not really hungry.
Thankfully, the people sitting next to me speak English.
So this is not really a proper bus.
This is more like a microbus.
There's a lot of luggage on the ground.
Just huge cabbages.
Is this yours?
Yeah.
So we're supposed to leave in 10 minutes
and it's definitely been a lot longer than 10 minutes.
Where are you from?
Bangladesh.
Bangladesh?
Yes, yes.
I'm good. I have water. Thank you.
Is that good?
How are you, brother?
I'll just go to the door.
Hi, my name is Ibrahim.
Ibrahim.
He is some English speak.
We saw a guy going on a bicycle ride with his chickens.
Not something you see every day.
Making a lot of friends in the microbus.
So the people on the bus were super friendly
and they basically told me if I want to go to their village,
they'll give us a tour.
So I might just do that tomorrow or the day after if I'm here.
Behind me, I don't know if you can see it,
is one of the highest mountains in Turkey called Mount Agri.
Okay.
Thank you.
So I've arrived at the hotel finally.
That last minibus took like one hour and cost 30 lira,
which is less than $4.
The first big bus took two hours and cost 40 lira,
which is I think a little less than $5.
So $7 or $8 for the whole trip.
Took four hours and it was 190 kilometers,
around 120 miles.
So I'm finally at Doğubeyazıt.
And behind me, 15 kilometers that way,
the big mountains I can see,
that's Iran because the Iran border is right over there.
And this is a pretty historic city.
So I'll be making a video from this tomorrow
on the historic stuff and all the cool stuff.
So stay tuned for that.
