Pour in the shrimp wonton soup.
We have 8 ounces of pork. Season with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of
Shaoxing wine, a pinch of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of white pepper, 1 tablespoon
of sesame oil, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch water, and 1 egg. Stir in a circular motion
until everything is blended perfectly. You can also add additional seasonings if you
like your wonton a bit saltier. Next, introduce 4 ounces of minced shrimp,
3 tablespoons of minced shiitake mushrooms, 3 tablespoons minced stems of cilantro,
3 tablespoons minced carrots, and 3 tablespoons minced scallions.
Here we have a Cantonese-style wonton sheet and a cup of water. Brush a little water on the edge
of the sheet. Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of the wonton sheet. Fold the sheet in
half to create a rectangle. Brush a little water on the bottom edge. Pinch and close and seal.
You can really make about 50 wontons with this filling. I'm only demonstrating a few of them.
Boil 4 cups of chicken broth. Add the wonton and cook for about 5 minutes.
You can season with a pinch of salt, a pinch of white pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
Blanch a handful of shanghai bok choy in a boiling pot.
Of course, you can leave the bok choy in, but I like to take them out and put them in a serving
bowl. Lastly, add some minced scallions. The weather is getting cooler and I really
wanted to make some heartwarming wonton soup for everyone. You know I actually really like to make
wonton because it can be a really fun activity for the entire family. You can also teach your
kids how to make wonton. After you finish making them, they finish making them. You'll be looking
at the wonton and be like, they don't quite look like wonton. But you know what, that doesn't
really matter because the time that you spend together, that is the most precious.
Subscribe, thumbs up, and I will see you in the next episode. Bye!
