Okay hello! Get ready for some amazing fall sewing plans. If you are looking to build a handmade
wardrobe for fall then stick around because this is my handmade try on haul. So I'm going to show
you some simplicity patterns and some McCall patterns so get a piece of paper and you can
write down your favorite patterns. I'm also going to try to put them in the descriptions tab below
but let's go ahead and start with what I'm wearing right now and this one is simplicity 8856.
This one is great to wear with leggings. It's not form-fitting. It's like a boho style and there
is the envelope right there because I can't find the envelope. Surprise right? Okay so this one I
made it in a size large. I did a pattern review which you'll want to check that out.
There's the link right there because I did make some modifications to it and I originally made
it a size large but then I scaled it down to a medium. So if I make this again which I really
want to make this again then I'm going to go with a size medium. So oh and I also put my measurements
in the description tab below but just really quickly my bust size is a 40 just to give you
an idea. The fabric that I used for this is a rayon well it's like a actually take that back
it's like a wrinkly crepe fabric that I bought from Joann's and I love the pockets
and it's like a tunic style. Let me go like this so that you can see it a little bit better. It's
got the facing right here that I put into it and I love the pockets and it's just great to wear
for fall with some leggings. So I'm going to show you the line drawings right there
because it does come with a version that you can make for your child and so those are the line
drawings. I actually made view B and I didn't do any you know I just got the regular sleeves on
there and I did the length that they said to cut out for the length and this one it looks like the
measurements so they've got the children's version which is the size three to the seven
and then this pattern envelope goes all the way up to the let's see extra large so you don't need
to get you don't need to select a specific pattern for it and then the finished garment
measurements so I would take the 43 and a half a size medium but it goes from a 28
all the way up to a 51 and a half inch so definitely if you're looking for a simplicity
pattern go ahead and get this one and also check out my pattern review. Okay so I will be right back
with the next one. Okay hallelujah the sun is coming out so the lighting is getting better.
Okay so this top that I'm wearing right here is McCall's 8167. See there's the number right there
this is what the cover looks like and I made view B and I added ties I just added ties to it.
I didn't do view C because the neck is actually they want you to attach a button right there
and I didn't think that I would be able to do it so let me show you the line drawings in the back
so that is going to show you this is the back and the well the back and the front has a seam going
down the middle which I actually love because I think that plays a huge part in getting a really
good flowy fit. This one you can see that hers is a little bit longer all the versions are longer
I shortened it by about three I want to say three to four inches I can't really remember
so if you get this keep that in mind if you want to wear it with leggings although I think those
versions you can still wear with leggings and it'll be just great for fall. So I made this let
me actually just show you a little bit more I'm gonna stop talking and so you can't well let's
see can you see that seam going down the middle probably not so much and then there is a seam
going down the back this one I made in a size medium so let me tell you a little bit about
the sizes you if you pick up one envelope it comes with all the sizes extra small to extra large
and it goes from the bust size is a 37 and a half all the way up to 51 inches and again I
always use the finished garment measurements it has so again let's see I did view b is wait let's
see is that what I told you in the beginning yeah view b but it has I mean I don't know what view I
did it looks like I did this one right here um and the sleeves are just lovely see they've got
the gather right there I guess you could say it's like a bell sleeve um it's a rayon chali
that I purchased from joann's and this one says suggested fabrics to use are cotton blends
linen chali or stable knits okay so I will be back with the next one oh and I may have not
mentioned I did a pattern review on this one too so you can click on the link right up there
to go to the pattern review because I made this one um another time with like a floral so you'll
want to check that one out as well okay here is the next one and it's got the puffy sleeves
great for fall and it's made out of this rib sweater knit okay I love that you can still
eat you know turkey in it or pizza whatever you want because it has the fling to it
because it's a hack of two patterns okay so write this down if you need to it's simplicity
one one one three and I love this because well I didn't add that but you could easily do that
now I did a pattern review on this one so you'll want to make sure that you click on that one
because I've made like two tank tops out of it and two shirts so this is gonna be a pattern
that you will use a lot it's a really great staple for your handmade wardrobe these right
here are the line drawings I haven't done that one I did view I did view c okay but the sleeves
that I used is from McCall's seven nine six seven you'll want to get this pattern this one
is great for fall I did a dress on it but I'm gonna go back and I'm gonna do a long sleeve
see because it's got the long sleeve version and I'm just gonna do a shirt I did the full dress
there's a picture of it right there but look at the line drawings and you can't tell by the model
but I want to show you these sleeves it's a puff sleeve and then it goes straight down
that is what she is wearing but you can't tell from all the florals so I can't wait this is part
of my plans for fall is to just make this view but make it into a shirt because you're gonna need
some shirts to wear with jeans and these ones I think are so cute with jeans it's got the
gathers in the back but you can do the pleats so again I used this pattern for like the base
and then I used these sleeves so with this pattern it says you can use jersey ity knit
stretch lace two-way lace you can contrast it out you can do contrasting sleeves or bands
this one is just a really good pattern even if you're looking for like a tank top to wear
underneath a cardigan then this is the way to go let me change it like this so that you can see
how cute this one is for fall then you can like go to your friend's house but not sweat so you've
got your sweater on but it's a short sleeve so okay and I will be right back with the next one
okay what do you think about this one I love the tear in the bottom
this one comes in a long sleeve version that is why I included it in my fall try on haul so
simplicity 8872 and I did view I did view a it has the pockets let me turn it this way so you can
see so it's easier to see the full view okay now this is when I was still messing around with sizes
and I think I did a size 18 so you can see you know it is not the best fit in the arms but I did
perfect it with doing a size 16 there's a picture of a better fit of it but I still love this
pattern this one is made with a fabric that I picked up from Joanne's and let me show you the
so for fall you could easily do this view right here which is view C I love the long sleeves
there's no closure in the back because you've got your closure right here in the front
and this one comes in size I'll just tell you the bust 29 and a half to a bust size of 42 inches
oh so this only runs from a size 12 to a size 20 and then or you can get you know the smaller
envelope the fabrics that it says to use with this is a chambray cotton lawn cotton types
double georgette lightweight linen types shirting or silky types and like I said this one is kind of
like a crepe wrinkly gauze and these are the line drawings right here that you can see those give
you all the different options so this is going to be good for spring summer and fall and I also
did a full pattern review on this one so you'll want to click on the link so okay I will be right
back okay so this next one I'm showing you this one is kind of a bad example because it's made
with knits and this pattern is not made for knits but let me show you a picture right there that is
one that I made I love this pattern that's why I wanted to include it because again you're gonna
need some shirts to be able to wear with jeans and why I like this one is because it has the gathers
and again I did in this knit but I couldn't find my other shirt and I didn't want to come out
topless so I'm just gonna wear this one but I'm gonna show you this pattern it the what you're
supposed to the fabric that you're supposed to use is a crepe charmeuse crepe de chine
lawn I used a rayon challis in that one and I'm making my Halloween shirt in this as well now
I am dying to make view c in that picture right there I made view b and then this one right here
I made view d but see I messed up because I don't know just don't go by this but I love
the sleeves and I love this pattern you guys have to give this pattern a try so let me show you
again it's McCall's $7,899 and it goes I'm gonna tell you the measurements are a bust measurements
this is the finished garment measurements is 37.5 all the way up to 51 and here are the line
drawings in the back once you see that you're gonna say oh yeah I need that for fall because
look at those beautiful sleeves right there and even this one has the cuff sleeves and it has a
button which you can't see right here and then it's got a little enclosure right there in the
back you could even wear this in the summer and do view a so definitely I did a pattern review
on this one so go ahead and check the link up above there's a card and this one is a keeper for
okay so I will be back with the next one okay this one is 7561 okay this one I love so much
it's great for fall it has a long sleeve option right here a mid-length even a long version
or a middle version with the short sleeve this pattern is made for knits
and I purchased this rib knit from Joann's and I made me a size large
I also did a full pattern review so you can click on the card above to get to that video
and here is a picture of the line drawings that show all the different options
okay and I will be right back with the next one okay let me go grab the pattern real quick
and while I'm finding that pattern please hit the like and subscribe button
if you are enjoying this video so far thanks guys okay pattern number
nine two six five this one is like a tunic length and I made this one
out of fabrics that I got from Hobby Lobby here's the back and I made me a size 16
and I did view B and look at those sleeves what do you think of those sleeves
I love the neckline I think it turned out really nice I also did a full pattern review on this one
so I'll put the link in the description tab it may be up there in the corner I'm only allowed to do
five links on a video so go ahead and check out that pattern review I'm also going to tell you
the fabrics that you can use are batiks chambray cotton lawns cotton blends linen blends
just no knits and then here is a picture of the line drawings and I made the one let's see it
looks like it's view B is what I made okay and I'll be right back with the next one
okay this is McCall's 7801 now I did a pattern review on this dress so if you go back and look
at it you it it does say you know that I didn't want to make it again but however this is one
of my favorites it's a wrap dress made out of some fabric that I got oh in fact this fabric
I think is still available on Amazon in my storefront so you can go and look on there
or go to fabric.com I think it was like six something a yard um so a little bit about this
dress yes it is a McCall's wrap dress and I made view C same sleeves wrap except for no ruffles
kind of like view A. I love the fit of it I made a size 16 and I used a C cup so yes this pattern
has cup sizes which I was first intimidated by but look oh and then also if you look at my pattern
view I was like oh there's so many darts however now that I you know forgot about how I made it
I love the finish of it I feel like it just lays really nice and I I like that it has this
swoop right here and it ties right here with a thin strap and I wonder you can include a belt
around it if you want but I didn't think that that was necessary so mine just has this wrap
this is how I wear it I love the sleeves didn't have to do any adjustments on those I got you
know they've got the cute the slight ruffle I really like how it has the slit in it and I think
it is just perfect for fall let me see if there's anything else that I missed out on the back of
this envelope it says the suggested fabrics to use are a cotton blend, crepe, chalet, stable knits
oh and then for the lining fabric let me turn this this way so that you can get a better view
okay so this is a rayon chalet and then on the inside I used a cotton to make it a little bit
more stable so there's no lining within the two fabrics but the whole entire bodice is lined with
this cotton woven on the inside and so this one I just love it for fall you also let me show you
the line drawings really quick here so these are the line drawings so those are all the different
options that you can make with this dress this envelope size that I picked up is a 14 through a
22 and I'll just read to you very quickly the measurements it goes from a bust size of a 34 inch
all the way up to a 49 and a half inch using those different cup sizes so this one is a win
in my book okay so that is all that I have for you now make sure that you leave a comment below
let me know what your favorite one is I would love to hear from you and I hope that I've inspired you
so please go ahead and subscribe so you can see more videos like this
