Shoveling snow can be seen as a tiring chore.
Understandable. It's winter, it's cold. It takes time and it is tiring.
But: it's in these trying situations that changing one's mindset can really help.

So this is a typical situation during a winter, northeast, New England, United
States. This can be seen as a bad thing because you have to work to clean up
your driveway, your entrance, whatever. But I'm gonna share with you something that
I think it can be helpful to see this kind of situations on a different light.
But first you need to warm up. It's crucial that you warm up before doing
any kind of physical activity and shoveling snow, it's fairly intense. So
yes, you do want to stretch your legs, to stretch your arms, to warm up overall and
be ready. Please take it easy, it's not a contest. Steady pace, slow, do not hurt
yourself, do your best to be fit overall, but do not forget the basics. You do need
to warm up. So this is not overly complicated, it did snow a bit, but it's
been raining, so it's not a big mess. But you have to do the job regardless. One of
the principles I do my best to live by is do not complain, do what you're
supposed to do. So the first thing to consider is this, you want to be an adult,
you want to be a pro. This means that you have to get the job done when it's
needed. So if you have the mindset of, well it would be nice to stay inside, I
don't want to go out, it's cold. This is the mindset that I would urge you to
change. Go out and get the job done. Not only will you feel better, I promise you,
but take my own situation as an example. I work as a video editor, I work inside
most of the time and to deliver a project I'm working on usually takes
days, weeks, if not months. So the beautiful thing about dealing with snow
is that you work steady and you see results right away. This kind of feeling
of accomplishing something that is very rewarding. From another perspective, think
about all those cities, all those areas where there is no water. Actually if you
think about this, snow is fantastic. It really helps to replenish the water
system, streams, whatever, in a given area. I hope what I shared with you can be
helpful and to make your day better. Put in some effort to accomplish stuff. You
will feel much better. Now let's get back to work. See you next time.
