Here we are in the last week of Winter and yet it snowed on Wednesday and the week has been filled with cold and rain. Not what we expect in the week leading up to Spring.
Today I decided to concentrate on one quick job in my garden, which was to clean my little fountain, get that back up and running, and I dug up the little ‘pups’ growing around my Carex Morrowii ‘Ice Dance’ plants and transplanted them in the little fountain bed outside our log cabin. And the best thing about this quick fix garden job is that these plants were for free!!
I also filmed the garden on Wednesday when it snowed … it did look beautiful.

It's Jeanette here from Enthusiastic Gardener. Welcome back to my garden and I'd like to say a
big big hello from Lotte to all our wonderful new subscribers and thank you for joining. It seems
that you are just like me always looking for lovely new gardening channels just to find
a bit of inspiration so I hope you enjoy in my garden. It's only small, I'm in Essex,
the southeast coast of England and next next week is officially in the UK. Spring 20th of March on
Monday but you wouldn't think it just as I was thinking of taking off my covers for my table and
chairs then the weather has just been dreadful this past week. We have rain, we've had snow,
it's been so bitterly bitterly cold and then on Wednesday we had more snow one week before spring
so I took a film of that because I thought I don't know if I'm going to be able to do any gardening
so I filmed that for you which I hope you'll find interesting but in the meantime
it's now Sunday morning and I thought what I would do is spruce up this little area,
tidy up this fountain because as you can see it is covered in gunk and leaves and everything
but I have a great idea for not even cheap plants for this but free plants for this so I thought
what I would do is show you my snowy weather video while I clean this out and then when you come back
after the snowy video I will show you my cheap and cheerful and free way of jazzing this up a
little bit and that'll be it for this week and then hopefully the weather will improve I'll be
able to take my covers off at some point let's hope and we'll be able to sit outside so I hope
you enjoyed this snowy wintry video
so
so I hope you enjoyed my wintry garden scene which was last Wednesday
and thankfully it only lasted one day but I did notice my daffodils were completely iced over and
I thought oh no I've lost my beautiful daffodils but they perked right up and they're just as if
nothing has happened so that is how resilient our plants can be I hope you like my little
transformation which was totally free all I did was out the front garden I have my beautiful Carex
plants which are fantastic because they can grow in the shade they grow in the sun they just grow
anywhere little pups formed so I thought I'll dig the little pups up and I'll dock them in here
just cleaned the fountain let's hope that the weather warms up a little bit more you don't need
I don't think to go out and spend hours and hours I mean I've been out here for half an hour
and just do a little thing here and there makes you feel so much better
I hope you'll have a good week next week it's spring last week of winter thank goodness
take care everyone thank you for watching I'm Jeanette I'm the Enthusiast Gardener, see you soon, bye!
