Learn how to travel continuously → https://www.travelcontinuously.com/ It's day three of walking through Armenia and we're in Dilijan National Park on the way to Goshavank. Armenia really feels like an untouched part of the world and walking through the natural trails seems like the perfect way to travel through the country.
Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon. That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how I travel the world continuously.
this is so nice we keep going up and down these hills and each time you do
you get an incredible view
good morning guys and welcome to Armenia what about that for a wake-up call
having that lake right next to us when we woke up from camping and now we get
to begin on another day's hike I'm sure we'll discover even more awesome things
so rather than elaborating I'll just show you
no you're good
alrighty Louis
we're gonna not make any noise for 15 minutes from here
hiking down on the trail, think of the day, get our intention and enjoy the nature
so this dog's followed us so far and now she's taking, oh there's my shadow
just taking a little bit of a bath aren't you darling?
we've just been given some walnuts which grow naturally here
this will work
fine
and these have been peeled, sugared and jammed and now they turn like this
I've never had a walnut like this but I will be in the future
that's really good
it's like a walnut dessert
what is it?
the taste of it
it's much harder than I thought, I thought it was gonna be squishy
we just pulled in here for a quick coffee break and a walnut break like I just showed you
and now we're in the town or village of Gorsz
I think, Gorsz, is it Gorsz or Gorszowank?
so this is the town of Gorsz and this right here seems like a tourist site, it's Gorszowank
let me show you
how cool is that?
it's a bit of a tourist site of this region I think but we've came to it in a really nice way
because we've hiked through to it rather than getting a bus
we're gonna continue past this but I think we're gonna check out the church
god I can't talk, very quickly
another day, another dog
you'll see a lot of monasteries, this is an absolutely beautiful one
on top of this little peak I think, just on the other side is where we're having lunch
this is so nice, we keep going up and down these hills
and each time you do, you get an incredible view
come say hi again
we got our lunch, can't see it yet but the sandwich smells damn good
so this is very cool, the route we're walking and even this bridge we're crossing now
was created by the high carmenia guys
so Adak, you just said you made this right?
you tackled this out and you made this bridge here
yeah, during the trail building in 2017
this bridge and then this trail now is a newly cut trail
that part we just hiked was older but
right ok, you did this more recently
I said in the last video it took them a few months to carvel this out
a team of 20 people and now it's built for anyone to come and use
so this is natural spring water from the source
just came out the side of the hill here
and it's completely drinkable
and really cold as well
hey family
so this is our campsite for day 2
just pulled up right here
and this is my tent
I got sun cream in my eye
oh god that's painful
but I'm going to do this anyway
we're walking down to the lake right now
there's a lake nearby where we're camping
that's where we're having dinner
and yes, it's very chilled sort of days
we're only walking until about 3pm
and then we have the whole afternoon
to enjoy the campsite
how bad does that look
one more time?
Nishan
and it's grilled
it's amazing
Nishan
good morning guys
back on the trail
we're hiking to Dilijan today
which is 13.6km away
we camped again last night
and had a beautiful campfire
nice chats again
and got to wake up in nature
with all the sounds around us
and get to go back on the road
I can't really say much more than that to be honest
because that's been completely ideal right now
let's get on with it
and see what we see today
Armenian man strong
good advertisement
come to Armenia
get a husband
it's so nice whenever we do hikes like this
we always get a trail dog
it makes it that much better
we don't try and bring them along
but a dog will just follow you
because they like the company
and you can just go walking with a dog
it's really nice
thank you Ardag
look at this
we just arrived for lunch
and we have old
Armenian style handmade
carpets to sit on
in this view
check it out
we even have coffee in the field
this is hospitality
up until now
it's been a really quite wide trail
but this is just where
it's grown back in the space of a few weeks
because of the amount of rain and sun they've had here
so we have to kind of
hack our way through this
and honestly it just grows back that quick
look at that
so one of the cool things about
this trek and this trail
is that it's fairly new
it's only been here for the last two years
so everyone we are passing
which haven't been many people at all
we've been asking
how they find out about it
and it's all through Hike Armenia
the guys that organise this
because they've done all of the trail making
and they've only opened it up
themselves
so honestly
if you want to come on a
untouched
less touristy
hike through somewhere
then this is probably the place
there's not many people at all that have done this
that dog's made a friend
what did you think?
good three day hike?
it was amazing
so much flowers
so much nature
it's beautiful
what did you think?
what a great segway
yeah it was really cool
we just got to Diljan now which is the end of the
hike for these last three days
I think we're here tonight, we have a hotel
rather than camping which is a nice surprise
because I thought we were doing 10 days camping
yeah let's see
shower
we're just about to arrive to Diljan
the place we're sleeping tonight
and this is the drunken forest
all the trees go off at these different angles
that's why it's called
the drunken forest
shortcut
we were just taking some photos and we got separated
from the group
but I just tried out the
hike Armenia app and we found our way
back pretty easily
I don't know how we got lost because we were only about 5 minutes
away from the end but
at least the app works
wow this is cool
I did not expect this
I just arrived after
three days hiking
that's sweet
it's never looked so good
I feel very spoiled
and I'm going to shower
get all this mud off me
and make the most of that
to finish up today we're doing
some dancing to traditional
Armenian instruments
I have been up there by the way, I just jumped off
just to film this little bit
but yeah, what a perfect end to this day
and these guys are great
what an end
to a couple of days here in Armenia
and that was such a cool experience
there were traditional instruments, I think one's called
the duduk, if I got it right
yeah, just so cool
in an old amphitheater like this
that seems like a good place to finish this video
so I'll just say again, if you're interested
in Armenia, check it out in the description below
there's still plenty more videos to come
I've got another week here yet
so for now, thank you for watching
and see you again soon
