That's the dancing house there.
Dancing house?
Good morning! We are walking towards the dancing house in Prague right now.
And I don't actually know why Olivia wanted to, so I'm just going with the flow.
I think it's good for some photos, but looking at it right now, it's not that impressive.
Let's find out.
So wait, why are we going to the dancing house?
Because it's a must-see in Prague.
Is it?
Yeah, it's one of the most famous places, so to say.
That one?
That one, yeah.
The office?
Well, it's...
Why is it famous?
For its architecture.
Perfect.
Okay, well, this is it.
The dancing house.
These photos seem more interesting.
This is it behind me.
Hello!
Well, this vlog hasn't started with the most positive energy.
No, I don't know.
So we're just walking around exploring Prague, and this is one of the things to see for its architecture.
Because it looks like that.
But it looks nice.
It's not world-changing.
One million dislikes from Czech people.
No, I don't know, it's okay.
It's just nothing special.
If you were really pushed for a time limit in Prague, then I wouldn't say this is up there.
For me, this is much better.
Look at that.
It's beautiful.
If I'm honest, this is more what I like.
Just walking along next to the river, seeing the swans and the reflections.
And I'm always more interested in just walking around cities, I think, rather than the actual sights and landmarks.
I like just getting lost, finding new things, and getting a feel of the city.
I'm never that impressed by a building.
I'm more impressed just by seeing everything.
Seeing little cafes and undiscovered things.
Or just walking next to a river and doing whatever.
Yeah, mighty sense.
Cold?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's one of...
But it's nice, it's nice and fresh.
Fresh.
So we're here in Prague in January right now.
And from what I've been told, there's advantages and disadvantages to coming in January.
One advantage is that there's much less crowds.
There's not so many people and you get to do a lot of things without there being crowds of people compared to what there would be in the summer.
But a disadvantage is that it's a lot colder.
It's actually quite a nice day today.
It's a nice blue sky.
And it's not that cold.
As you can see, I've still got a scarf and hat on.
In the summer, I imagine this would be a really nice city with the weather.
I think it gets really hot here.
Be able to walk around and sit outside in cafes and bars would be cool.
But right now, it's obviously not quite so weather perfect.
So you do have to kind of wrap up a bit.
We're actually only here for three days, but I'm really enjoying it so far.
We've been walking around constantly and just taking in the city.
And there you go, right on cue.
The sun comes out and it's much warmer.
We're actually only here for three days, so we don't have the chance to do everything.
But what we have done is just walked around constantly and seeing as much as we can.
Just looking around and enjoying the scenery.
Not sure where we're going now.
We're walking somewhere, so I should probably go get Olivia.
Rather than leave her behind.
Next stop is Prague Castle.
One of the other landmarks you're going to see here.
Which is somewhere behind these buildings.
Nice view.
We made it to the top of the hill and the sun has come out.
And so it's an excuse to put some sunglasses on.
It's actually got a lot hotter.
I had to take my jacket off.
And we were rewarded with a nice view behind us.
We are at the entrance to the Prague Castle now.
So we need to get the ticket.
As it's the thing to do in Prague.
And I don't know, we need to try and find the entrance now.
What are these guys doing here?
Military place.
Yeah, there's loads of them, look.
Loads of old military vehicles.
That was unexpected again.
Yesterday it was a camel and drum parade.
Which I found out was the Hare Krishnas.
And today there's a military convoy.
For some reason.
This is the most uninformed vlog you'll ever watch.
And now we join the queue for the Prague Castle.
Almost in.
We're in the main square now.
Of the castle.
And you can get into this bit for free.
But then you have to pay for tickets to go into the stuff around.
So we're going to have a quick look around and see what we can see.
And then get tickets, I think.
But we're going to see what we can see without getting tickets first.
Oh, it's crowded.
Okay, so you don't need a ticket to get into this bit.
Into the front of the cathedral.
And you can just walk around and see most of it.
But to get over that side of this big barrier, then you need a ticket.
Don't know if it's worth it.
So yeah, you've got all of these people just taking photos.
And then the people over there paying for everything.
I feel like we've seen most of it now.
Yeah, I think we've seen a lot of it.
All you can do is walk around and come back.
And that's the bit you pay for.
We can also walk around this little bit around the cathedral.
And we're not trying to be cheapskates, by the way.
It's just deciding what to spend your money on.
If we can see a lot of this without paying the ticket entrance,
and then we can use that money for something else,
then why not, you know?
Why not budget a bit, see what it looks like from the outside,
and not necessarily walk around the exhibits and stuff,
which is not really what interests us anyway.
So yeah, we're just going to have a little bit more of a walk around,
and then go and do something else, I think.
Hey, look! It's just what you wanted.
We found another Christmas market.
It's the last few days, but...
Good choice.
How is it?
You tried it yet?
It's delicious.
Are you going to eat the whole one, or can I have some?
I'm not going to eat it all.
Fair enough.
I'll just go over here.
To finish off today, we've just come up to a little viewpoint over Prague,
and we're going to catch the sunset from here.
It's been a really nice sky all day,
so I think we're going to get a pretty good sunset.
Look at this view.
You can't see it perfectly,
because we're shooting straight into the sunlight,
but the sunset from this point is great.
You can see the whole of the old town.
This is just a little park next to where we were staying.
Look at that.
Lovely sunset to finish the day on.
Nice way to finish it, right?
Yeah, it's very nice.
You look good like that.
Orange suits you.
Stay true to that fire in your heart and your soul
Don't drench your desire in what you can't control
We fly where we fly
Try so hard to get there
And we might, we might
Be lost but not forever
Yeah, this is definitely more what I love.
Getting out, seeing sunsets,
finding new things,
and, I don't know,
I feel like maybe from earlier in the video
there might be some people thinking,
well, what's the point in being a traveller or a travel blogger
if you don't enjoy the landmarks and stuff?
I wasn't really saying that.
I do enjoy them occasionally,
but what I prefer is to just go and explore
and find new parts of the city
and discover it for yourself.
And that's sort of what we've done here
with this little sunset spot.
And with that, I think that's where we'll finish this video.
Beautiful sunset.
Really cool, relaxing, budget day.
Spent absolutely nothing just walking around.
Good day.
Thank you again for watching.
This is my life.
