Flying to Hong Kong - My First Impressions of Hong Kong

Good morning. Right now I'm in Vienna airport. I just left Bucharest this morning and I'm on the way to Hong Kong. This is exciting. I've been to Hong Kong before and I made a video here before. But it was only, I was only here for 24 hours and I stopped over ages ago, a year and a half ago. I'm pretty excited to be back. If I don't seem more excited it's because I didn't get any sleep. I just got off the plane. But yeah I'm actually only here for one day right now. It's one day in Hong Kong and then I'm heading over to Macau which I've never seen before and yeah really looking forward to seeing. Right now I just need to grab my bag and then head on to the hotel. Well that was off to a good start. I just left my phone on the ATM and then about 10 minutes later I realized I didn't have it in my pocket. So I just went up to the desk and got it back anyway. Luckily someone had handed in so thank you to whoever that stranger is. Now I'm heading to the hotel. So I get a free shuttle bus because of the hotel I'm staying at. Well that's embarrassing. I don't know what happened but somehow I missed my stop and now I'm back at the station. So I need to jump off the bus. I need to go get back on the next bus and do the same route again. Really not with it this morning. And this is exactly the same bus. This place is nice. Okay made it to Hong Kong and we both know that I didn't just come in the door there. I set up this shot first then came in. But that doesn't matter anyway. Check this out. The hotel comes with a free smartphone. Not to keep but to use while I'm here with data. How awesome is that? I can just use the phone. It's all ready to go. Obviously if you lose it or if you damage it you pay some money but it's just here for me to use. Such a good idea. Anyway I just had a quick shower and I'm about to head straight out because I've got a couple friends living here that have been longtime people on the vlog back from way back when. And I even met them last time I came to Hong Kong. So you might know who I'm talking about. Anyway I'm gonna go meet them now. Some of you would have guessed. It's Diego and Gloria. What up guys? What's up? And we met here in Hong Kong almost like exactly a year and a half ago. Almost exactly to the date yeah. And since then they've gone all around the world. I met them in Morocco. I've gone all around the world. But somehow we've both ended up back in Hong Kong. That's how life works man. It's a loop. Great to see those two again. And yeah really glad I got that chance. It was only like an hour but at least I got to catch up a little bit. And we'll see them again in a few days time when I come back to Hong Kong after Macau. Diego's actually got this really exciting new project that he's about to launch. So go check out his channel and subscribe and then you'll get to hear about it when it's all released. Right now I'm going to meet a couple of other people. Right I've just met up with a couple of people you might recognize. First we've got Shu from YouTube NextUp ages back. And George. Hey. People have said to me before that we look kind of similar. Do we? Let's have a look. Oh wait. I really miss having this. Kind of. I mean I'm stood up here so it probably. Yeah now I see it. All it took was a little step down. And let's get some food. A what pot? A hot pot. I've never heard of this. We're going for something authentic. First meal in Hong Kong. Solid choices. I feel like we've absolutely nailed these choices. Where were you? Oh you go to Alberta? Yeah. Just finished our first food and good as always. It feels good to be back in Asia. We just came down to the dock to try and get some good shots of the city and get some time lapses and all that jazz. And though I'm only here for a day I wanted to make a bit of a little cinematic montage. So enjoy. And some of those drone shots by the way, all of those drone shots were from my friend Greg. I'm not sure where we're going so I can't tell you that. But we're going somewhere else. Round off today we just came up to this rooftop bar with a view over the whole city. I'm going to go to sleep and get ready for tomorrow which is where it's really starting. In Macau tomorrow we're getting the boat early in the morning across to Macau so can't wait for that. Really nice way to finish it tonight with the skyline and also meeting George and seeing Shu and Diego and Gloria and everyone again today was fantastic. That's it. That's all I can say.
