Now it's beginning to rain. What is going on with the birds? It looks like those,
you know, like those sticks that you put in a flower vest. What bird is this?
Very interesting. And this water is somewhat freezing. Look at that. Which strings are going
It's completely combined itself to the fence. Wow. It's a straight
trunk. And then look at how the branches are branching out so beautifully, actually.
Hello, dear Lieben. Herzlich willkommen by living in Vienna, where we spotlight life as it happens
here in Vienna. Today we are here at Tuchenschanz Park, which is at the 18th district of Vienna.
And we want to see what's going on here. And we're taking you with us on this lovely walk.
But before we do that, let's just find out how do we get here? It might not be obvious to everyone.
So we've gotten off at Tuchenschanz Platz. Yeah. And we came by tram 41 from this direction.
And which way are we going? We're gonna go this way. So this is in the 18th district.
You can also get here by bus. This is the stop for the bus. And it's bus number
10A. So you can arrive on 10A here or on that side on 41. You get 41 from
shortened tour. 10A, I'm not sure where we're getting this from.
And the 18th district has this really lovely building here.
It's really lovely. It's a suburb. Can we call it a suburb? So you see, if I hold it straight
and I do this. Perfect. Yes.
I think this is the park. Okay. So here we have right of way.
Downtown. Yes. I think this is our entrance. Okay. So some information.
Yeah. It was built in 1885 to 1888 and finished in 1908 by the city of Vienna. Okay.
Ah, the citizens made the initiative. Okay. So we are just going to walk in.
What is this place? It's a basketball pitch.
Okay. And there's a dog zone. Hundezone. Dog's zone. Zonne. Zones. Zonne. Yeah. There is a
Hundezone. So maybe let's just find a lovely spot and I make a little duck show.
Ah, okay. Let's go to the point.
Is it 4K? It's always 4K, yeah? Where is this place? There's a door.
Yeah. A gate. It's somewhere in the middle of snowing and raining.
Should we go here or? Now we are confused. We don't know where do we go. Let's go through the
woods. Here we are going through the woods. What an adventure. Wow.
Yeah. Okay. Now that we know how to get here, let's get started. Yeah. I will check both and
see which one looks good. Birds. Yeah. There are lots of birds in Vienna anyway. And what is this
place here? This here. The sitting observation point which stops the children from going into
the water maybe. Yeah. Okay. Very interesting place here and where we are coming from. And
let's not forget the romantic lights. These are the romantic lights and we are going to call these
romantic seats. Yes. Seagulls. Okay. While you set that up, I will just walk here. Hey.
What's this noise? What's this noise? Seagulls? So I'm trying to get to this place because I think
it's interesting. The seagulls are really fighting. I think I better be careful because
look at this place. It is possible to slide. Now it's beginning to rain. What is going on
with the birds? I'm not able to turn it off. What an interesting tree. Okay. Let's go. Romantic lights.
Lamps. And here, Buchenstein's Park. Does it have anything to do with the Turkish?
But it's a very lovely place to come when you have a child on the tram because I think all the
ways are very comfortable to drive with a tram. So here is another pond. Maybe we can go and walk
on that lovely bridge with a romantic lantern. This is an interesting tree here.
It looks like those, you know, like those sticks that you put in a flower vase. This one. So pretty.
So. Oh, there's an interesting bird here. What bird is this? It's standing like a human.
This bird here. Wow. What bird is this? Very interesting. And this water is somewhat
freezing. Very interesting. Is it looking at me? Wow. Yeah, a little bit frozen. Number one.
Yeah, that's a really interesting bird. So we are now going to walk on top of this
nice bridge and when we get here, we can have a better view of this interesting looking bird.
Where are you? Very interesting. My gosh, such a beautiful bird. Yeah, it's very interesting
looking bird. What is this? Rain or snow? It's in the middle. Ah, it's a mixture. Okay.
I would say it's snow. Okay.
Very nice benches with a lot of snow. So it's just the snow that is sitting
on these benches. This is how you know you as a human being are not that mighty.
When the snow takes over the seats. So beautiful. I love it. I love it, love it, love it, love it.
Okay, two couples. What just happened? Oh, and this guy is taking advantage of the fight.
This guy fought with his girlfriend. The girlfriend flew away and then I saw another guy
running to the girlfriend. So it's a little bit too bad that this guy has lost. Lessons learned,
don't fight with your girlfriend. Now you are single, suddenly single and everybody around
here is paired up. So this other guy was just standing here watching as they fight. The girl
ran away and yeah, the boy found his chance. Tokenstein's Park in the 18th district. Say hello
to the romantic lantern. I'm very fascinated by that whole idea of romantic lanterns. It's good.
Yeah, I've been here before. Yeah, but I came from the side of Boku, the other side of
where the Boku University is. So it's always a good idea to look for where it comes to.
Don't forget where you come from, okay?
Yes, so beautiful. It's really beautiful. Lovely. This is the mould. What do you call this green
stuff on the tree? Moose. Moose. Moose, moose and moose and snow. What is this? I think this is
like a train way. The way for the train. Rail. The railway. There's another pond there.
It's not a bade, but it's a taish. Taish is a pond. Okay.
And here there would be a lot of selling of food in the summertime.
Yeah, it's actually a nice feeling. Look at that. Which trains are going here? Do you know?
S-Bahn.
These are the suburbs. Here goes the tree that does not like to be climbed.
Yeah, it's very hard for anything to climb on these trees. They're so soft.
It's related, I think. Yeah, touch. Yeah, a monkey would find it very difficult to climb.
What is this thing here?
It's still there. Okay.
Sometimes life is easy. Yeah, actually this is so cool. Now I think it's snowing for real.
There's no rain right now. It's snow. There's a lady statue here. Let's find out who is this.
Auguste Picquart, born in 1855, died in 1910. Yeah, why is she important?
She was fighting for women's rights. Okay, nice.
Yeah, yeah. It's really so nice. So many seats everywhere. I think maybe this is a very favorite
place to go in the summer. I can only imagine. Yeah, I've been here in the summer, but I forgot.
But there are many people. Wow, it's a lot of snow right now.
There's a kinderplatz there. Kinder Spielplatz. Oh, it's really big. Yeah.
The Spielplatz, yeah. Yeah, this is really the park for parents.
Did we already go this direction?
I am so surprised we have not seen a cross
somewhere. No, let's go on a hunt for a cross. I cannot believe we need to hunt a cross.
I cannot believe it. So, let's see how many minutes it's going to take us to find a cross
in Austria. Vienna, Austria. Starting now. But I've not timed it. I will time it in the video.
But since I said starting now, can you clap for me? Starting now. Okay,
let's find a cross. We are looking for a cross. Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm going to disapprove
my own theory. That you will find a cross absolutely anywhere.
This is the shopping, the restaurant area. Yeah, this is when Austria gets its white Christmas.
No wonder we still have lights on, Christmas lights on. Oh my god, my face is full of snow.
Can you, can you be, can you have a cross please? You, oh ye, I mean.
So, this is another view of the, no, no, I think, is it? Because that's, this is the
the place where you can buy something to eat from. Ah, there is another pond. Oh, there are three.
Okay, yeah. So, there's that one there, there's another one there and there is this.
In none of these ponds, we don't think, you can actually go for a swim. That's another
gate to come in here. So, actually, you can get to Tuckenstein's Park.
Tuckenstein's Park. You can get here also with bus number 40 coming from
Schottenthal also. Yeah, there's a little, there's a small bridge.
Maybe. So, here place for some animals which are very hard to find now.
He's going on this side and he's breaking through the fence and he's throwing back in the fence.
Oh my gosh, look at that. I did not see. So, it starts. Okay, this camera. The tree is going
from here and then it's coming out. Wait, I have the wrong tree. So, you see here,
it's actually inside and then it's coming out here and then it's going inside and then coming out
and going inside. Is it really possible that? I don't think someone has done this. I think
the tree has done it itself. Yeah, maybe it did this when it was a lot younger
and thinner but now it's completely caught itself up with the same thing is happening here.
Yeah, it's probably trying to, you know, like I think the intention was not to get caught up.
It was just to look for support and then now, unfortunately, in its, yeah,
it's completely combined itself to the fence. Wow, okay.
I think we are letting ourselves out without intending to do that. Okay, so this is, this
baum is called Zugelbaum. Anything interesting about Zugelbaum? It's actually a pretty tree.
Yeah, it's really pretty. Look at how, okay, I'm just going to start from here down. It just
is a straight trunk and then look at how the branches are branching out so beautifully,
actually. I think they look so beautiful. Yeah, I think they're so beautiful,
how they are branching out. I think, ah, 15 minutes. Let me just stop it and continue.
I think this is where we came in from. No. No? It's just that every entrance has a basketball
pitch and a dog area. Is that so? Who's got a girl? I can see my nephew doing that,
seeing people with a camera and then exaggerating himself to show off his skills.
Oh, I was right. I was right because I remember seeing this. I think we've seen this place.
So I think that's our cue that maybe we've come to the end of the video.
Thank you so much for your time. Thank you for hanging out.
