That liver is creamy, man.
He said creamy.
He said the liver is creamy.
The liver is creamy.
Right on.
What's going on, guys?
We are in Portland, Oregon right now, and we are in town for a Pencil slash Adidas event.
But guess what?
We have a little bit of time, so you already know what that means.
We are going to be doing a Portland food crawl.
Keep Portland weird.
You guys didn't know.
Portland is actually famous for having these food carts.
So they're kind of like food trucks, but they don't drive anywhere.
Our first stop on the Portland food crawl was Brunchbox, and what I've got in front
of me right now is a grilled cheese Thai bacon sandwich.
Wow.
Oh, snap.
The buns are grilled cheese sandwiches.
Wow.
I've never had Thai flavor in a burger before.
This is the Outlaw.
Damn, look at that.
The Outlaw is good, but it's more of a conventional flavor.
Hey, that's when you hit them with the...
I've got some brewhouse fries.
Brewhouse fries.
This is special because it has garlic, Parmesan, and vinegar all on it.
You just spray the vinegar like spraying it like Windex.
I've never seen that before.
So we just finished up here at Brunchbox.
Definitely check this out if you come to Portland, but we've got to keep it moving.
We're off to a good start.
This is the first time we're debuting Polish food on the Fun Bros Food Channel.
We've got stuffed cabbage, cooked cabbage, kielbasa, pierogies.
I think, first of all, I'm going in on the pierogies.
They're essentially Eastern European dumplings.
Is there meat inside too?
Potato.
Bananas, potatoes.
Get a little mustard in there on the kielbasa.
Let's go.
That's good.
Yo, that's stuffed cabbage.
Stuffed cabbage, guys.
Wow.
Yo, let me try that, man.
That meat is so soft.
It's like melting in my mouth.
Shout out to this Polish cake right here.
Rum and raisins.
This is a real pad kra pao like Thailand.
Yeah.
You're going to love it because they have spicy, salty, everything inside.
That's why people love Thai food.
Thank you.
Try it, okay?
Sawadee krap.
This is the pad kra pao.
This is the street food all over Thailand.
It's a very common dish.
Mmm, with the fried egg.
Look at those spices.
Yo, that is good.
Yo, that is like the right combination of everything.
Oh my goodness.
Hold on, hold on.
Dave, you got to save room for the other food, man.
There is no food cart area without a little taqueria cooking enchiladas.
Whoa.
This is a carnitas enchilada.
Yo, Brian's on the side.
Brian's like, yeah, dog, get it.
Everything, man.
That's good, man.
The meat perfectly seasoned.
Nice and salty.
This is hitting, man.
Right here, he cooked the salt and pepper squid.
I like this.
I like how it's light colored.
I like how they're the little squids right here.
Yo, it's in a bed of onions, bro.
Oh, that's good for any time during the day, man.
Who's a bigger fan of Spam Masoobi, David?
Me or you?
Go halves on it, man.
I'm just doing it.
Spam Masoobi.
Beep, beep, beep, beep.
Brian, we found the baklava.
Keep it low, keep it low, keep it low, keep it low.
Baklava is one of those things where everybody kind of makes it a little different, but it's always good.
So it's cheap, it's ancient, but it's still timeless, man.
Yo, what's up?
The Chan family was nice enough to let me in the back of their food cart,
and we are cooking up some spicy pork belly.
I gotta go check it out.
Oh, that's where they get the spice from.
It's the gochujang.
Andrew secured the pork belly.
So what it is, the recipe was they put some jalapenos and some gochujang in there
because this is an Asian fusion cart, so this is not just one Asian.
That was seven bucks.
That's a lot of pork belly.
Alex, you gotta finish the rest of this.
Come on, man.
I'm not gonna lie, guys.
I got like a hundred different spices just stirring in my intestines right now.
It's crazy.
You know what that's called, though, right?
What?
It's called dunlap syndrome.
Dunlap syndrome?
What is that?
Me and his belly dunlapped over his belt.
Shout out to the Fresh Prince, man.
Yo, you my hero, dawg.
That's Italian piadina, Italian fresh pork breast.
Wow.
Working very, very closely with the grill.
Man, I can only imagine how hot that is.
It's 550 degrees.
And I touch with here.
I don't have skin.
No experience.
We have roasted pepper, caramelized onions, eggplant, sautéed mushrooms.
Everything is fresh, organic.
Try to make healthy food.
Look at me.
I eat pizza and pasta all my life.
Look at me.
All fresh, organic.
Awesome, man.
And that's only one.
Good for seven bucks.
That's crazy.
You get so much for the price.
Eat fresh, healthy, and party too much.
Yo.
Bruh.
Yo, this is so hot.
So this is an Italian street food called piadina.
It looks almost like a pizza without the cheese inside.
It's almost like a pizza with a crazy amount of toppings on it with no cheese folded in half.
This dough is crispy and stretchy, actually.
I actually really like this dough a lot.
Also, he informed me that every ingredient that he uses is fresh.
And that's why that guy owns two of the top-rated food carts in this area.
Yo, you got spaghetti sauce on your nose, man.
Yo, actually, it's just blood because I'm so excited that my nose started to bleed of this piadina.
Yo, how is this guy two places at once, man?
I just saw him over there.
Yo, this is good.
This looks so good.
I'm about to go in on this cavatini.
Yeah.
That's good.
It's not 20 bucks, not 18 bucks.
Only for $8.
Go to Verona Pizza and Pasta.
Come see Marco.
Thank you, guys.
Thank you.
Okay, so can you explain what blackened means?
Blackened means it's like using different kind of spices to give it a little brown outside.
Have you ever been told that you kind of look Asian?
Yes.
All the time.
Yo.
But you're not Asian.
You're Mexican.
I am Mexican.
Blackened halibut tacos.
Bro, these look so nice, bro.
Blackened halibut tacos.
Let's go.
It's fresh.
It's got the sweet mango sauce.
It's also got a little bit of that spiciness.
It's got the fresh cilantro on top.
I'm feeling the San Diego vibes right now.
All right, everybody.
Welcome to day two of our Portland food crawl.
This is the most famous food cart.
Nong Khao Man Gai.
Oh, snap.
Wow.
I got liver in there.
With the chicken liver.
I got chicken liver just to mess around, though.
That liver is creamy, man.
He said creamy.
He said the liver is creamy.
There's another fork in there.
Get it by me.
The liver is creamy.
What?
It never feels too heavy.
It's not too saucy.
It's not too fattening.
You get your meat, and you get your carbs,
and it's not too heavy.
Nong Khao Man Gai in Portland.
I can see why it's famous.
This is our last and final cart here in Portland.
Matcha and azuki takoyaki.
All right, man.
Let me try this.
Whoa.
That's a light, sweet way to end off your meal, man.
Well, show off the takoyaki.
I'm not going to have any.
I can't do it.
I'm going to hit my limit.
So this is fresh takoyaki.
Look at that.
Steaming hot.
That's actually one of the better takoyaki balls I've had.
I'm going to take your word for it,
because my stomach is at maximum capacity.
There's definitely been some food out here in Portland
that was a little weird and a lot delicious,
and it was something I'd never seen before.
It actually has a really cool food scene,
and actually, surprisingly, some really good ethnic food.
All right, you guys, in the comments section below,
number one, make sure you let us know
what was the most delicious thing that we ate on this trip.
Number two, make sure you let us know
what other city we need to travel to
that low-key has a popping food scene.
And number three, like, subscribe,
and make sure you share this with anybody who likes food,
travel, just hanging out with their friends.
You guys, we are out here in Portland, Oregon,
and until next time, we're out.
Peace!
Yo, what's going on, guys?
Thank you so much for watching
that Portland Food Crawl episode of Fun Bros Food.
Portland surprised me.
Everybody says Portland's a little weird.
I agreed, but I said it was a lot delicious.
Shout-out to Portland.
Shout-out to the great Northwest.
Shout-out to the rain.
Shout-out to all the greenery.
Keep Portland weird, but keep Portland delicious.
Until next time, we out.
Peace.
