Ha Long Bay 🇻🇳 Worth it? $300 best luxury 5-star cruise

Join us as we spend two days on a luxury five-star Ha Long Bay cruise and find out why we think this is an absolute must-do when visiting Vietnam. We were picked up early in the morning from our hotel in Hanoi. We were super excited to be headed to Ha Long Bay. Our first stop before we get to Ha Long Bay, we're going to a pearl farm, might be interesting. Can't say we're that bothered about going to a pearl farm but we'll just see what happens. Gary and Janet seem interested so as long as they're happy, we're happy. Picked a good day for a trip to Ha Long Bay, haven't we? Jordana, what are your first thoughts of the cruise? I'm obviously, like, honestly, like, I'm speechless. Like, I'm so, so happy. Like, it is beautiful. The room, the bed feels so comfortable. The service already has been over and above. The decor inside, it's like very nicely done and everything. Welcome to our gorgeous suite on the Aspire cruise ship. I know, it's fantastic. Cruising from Ha Long Bay. Yeah, I just shut the door. Yeah. Hey, another boat. Just arrived, we've not actually unpacked yet but it's absolutely amazing, isn't it? We love it. Yeah, really nice, isn't it? Gorgeous. It's been raining a little bit but it's very warm out there. Excited. I didn't even know we've got a shower. We've got a jacuzzi bath and then a really big shower. Yeah, it's lovely, isn't it? Gabby and I, we've been on a few cruises but... How does this compare? Yeah, much, much better. It's much better. The views are good as well, aren't they? Oh, yeah. Can't get out on them kayaks now the rain's stopped. Yes, yes, I'm sure Gabby and I will be looking forward to that, yeah. I shall be using this time the foot brush kit. And Gary has to lower the toe. I think you'll feel beyond that, Gary, I wouldn't bother. The weather has cleared up so we are now off to go kayaking. Gary and Janet are a bit nervous so me and Grant have said I'll go in with Gary and Grant will go in with Janet. So we'll see how we do. We've come out for a casual little paddle in his canoe. It's a bit rainy, we didn't time it too well. Turn around and wave right quick. Dad and Jodie. Dad, turn around and wave. I can't. So we're just in our canoe and we're getting very wet. But it's all a part of the experience, isn't it, Gary? It is. We've lost Grant and Janet. I don't think Janet's having the best time. They'll catch up to us soon. But yeah, this is quite, to say it's raining, it's still quite a nice little trip, little excursion, I would definitely recommend. And if it rains, you've just kind of got to put up with it. But yeah, having fun. There was a huge range of food at the lunchtime buffet and it was all really tasty. Masterclass. Try two. Well done. Wake up in the morning, I can't wake up. So I'm going to Tai Chi this morning and Grant's staying in bed. Is Janet coming for Tai Chi? Upstairs on top floor. So it's 6am. I'm on the top deck, currently on my own. No one's got here yet, but look at this sunrise. How amazing is this? Beautiful sunrise. So it is 10 to 7 and I've managed to get everybody up to come see the sunrise and we're all having drinks along the top deck. I've got an orange juice, they've all got coffee and we're just enjoying the sun. But it's absolutely beautiful. You all good this morning? Oh yeah. Yeah, a bit tired. Yeah, they're all a bit tired. Yeah, worth getting up. Honestly, if you come on something like this, definitely get up. Even if you're tired or hungover, get up. There were loads of choices for breakfast. Hot and cold options, as well as pho and made to order omelettes. We absolutely loved all of it. All the food we've had on the cruise has been absolutely amazing. Jordan has gone for a pho, I've just gone for some pastries and a bit of fruit. Dad didn't get the memo I was going to video, he's almost finished. And so is mum. I'm on a sluggish diet. God, it's well stiff. Turn it right. It's worse than a kayak. Mum, look, there's an iceberg. I've got to be in a kayak. We're currently just canoeing around the fishing village. As you can hear, there's a big fishing boat. Obviously, fishing. It's just absolutely beautiful out here. I keep saying to Grant, I want to do the three-day trip because it's just so relaxing. So, so nice. I'm still pretty hungover, but this is making up for it. Like, absolutely, completely. And Grant's doing all the work, aren't you, Grant? I am. I couldn't have it any other way. Yeah, this is absolutely gorgeous, guys. Honestly, if you get a chance to go to Harlem Bay and do a cruise, like, do it. Like, no matter what your budget is, there's so many different ships you can get on, so many different prices. But I think it doesn't matter. Like, it's all worthwhile. You're going to have literally the best time ever. So I've not got my sunglasses, so I might be squinting a bit here. But Jordana just said something. I thought I should get it on camera. What was it you just said? This was one of my favorite experiences from, like, the last, like, nine weeks of traveling. Absolutely amazing. Yeah, I think this has got to be, like, a must-have if you're in Vietnam, the boat tour. So we did the two-day, one-night boat tour, and we wish we'd done a little bit more because we basically just want to sit out and just look at all the amazing views all day long. And unfortunately, we have to get off the boat soon. But the views are just incredible out there. Even though it rained yesterday, like, it was still an amazing experience. And I would say I quite liked the fact that I had, like, rainy Vietnam and then bright and sunshine Vietnam in our boat tour. Like, it was a really good experience. It's been so good on it. Like, this has got to be, for me, it's been 10 out of 10. This is, like, a you-have-to-do this if you're coming to Vietnam. As always, I've got some absolutely bizarre combo. So I've got some spicy braised beef on top of my hot dogs, rice, chips, gammon. That stew's really nice. Jordan has got some other weird concoction. Yeah, good. Hi, Mum and Dad. What have you thought of the trip? It's been absolutely amazing. I've loved every minute of it. Definitely recommend it. And this company, is it Aspira? Aspira, yeah. Yeah, the ship itself is absolutely gorgeous, isn't it? It's all so well fitted out. And it's a cabin ship. I don't know how many... 24 cabins. Yeah, so it's only small. Each cabin has got a balcony. And the views are just fantastic. I know. It's been so lovely. It's been a bit of luxury, isn't it? That's the word. Yeah. A bit of luxury. But staff are very attentive as well. They are. They've really looked after us, haven't they? The food has been great, yeah. So we would just like to thank the staff on the Aspira trip. They were absolutely amazing. Give us all a wave, guys.
