China's advancements in space technology, coupled with their unwavering determination, have propelled them to the forefront of the global space race.
This was even warned by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

China, seeking to overcome their “century of humiliation,” wants to become the next lunar power and best America in the process.
And now, with aspirations of putting Chinese astronauts on the moon’s surface within the next seven years, Beijing may even outpace the United States in creating a permanent lunar outpost.
They are totally capable of doing this as "The China space program is far more advanced than most people realize', Elon Musk said.

Musk made the comment in response to a tweet by Chris Hadfield, a former astronaut of the Canadian Space Agency, who reposted a CGTN report, citing Wu Weiren, the chief designer of China's lunar exploration program, as saying "By 2030, the Chinese will definitely be able to set foot on the Moon. That’s not a problem".
Lin Xiqiang, deputy director of the China Manned Space Agency, also echoed Wu's words and said at a news conference on Monday at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center that China's space authorities have launched the manned lunar program and plan to send astronauts to the moon before 2030.
