We tackled our first multi-pitch trad climb up the SKYWALKER (5.8) route of Shannon Falls. The hidden pools at the end were beautiful, refreshing and the perfect way to cap off this excellent day of adventure in Squamish.
I make outdoor adventure travel videos to inspire you to take your next trip and get outdoors. Life is short and there are so many interesting people, places and things to learn about and experience. Join me on my journey, SUBSCRIBE AND become a part of Team Infamous.
My name is Jesse St Louis (AKA Infamous JSL) and I'm an actor that likes to go on awesome adventures between gigs. I've been called a "no frills Bear Grylls" but mostly I've been called an Actor. Traveler. Smart-ass.
Skywalker, Shannon Falls. It's a multi-pitch, Sam and I's first multi-pitch up five pitches I think
it is. It's 5.8 grade and a nice little tasty treat at the top. Should be an interesting day.
You got this honey, jug's coming, jug's coming.
Yeah, milked him, jug.
So first multi-pitch climb for Sam and I in the books. What a tremendous view here.
Alex took us up the Skywalker. The force was with us. Crushing it. Up the Skywalker, Sam did great.
Tremendous view here. And there's even a tasty little surprise at the very end. Hopefully,
hopefully I have enough battery on the GoPro to show you the final treat of the day.
Epic day out here. Climbing next to Shannon Falls here in Squamish. Our first multi-pitch
and it's a pretty hard day for me. The backpack was heavy. First time climbing with a backpack
like that. It was physically demanding more than I thought and actually just being in the pool at
the waterfall here was pretty emotional actually. I didn't expect it to bring up some emotions.
I recall that some people had died here. Actually, the first time we were in Vancouver,
this group of YouTubers passed away at this waterfall and just brought up some emotions
for me for being in this location and remembering them. And I didn't know them personally, but
you know the Lynn Canyon slide that I previously made a video of recently.
I actually made, I actually became aware of that slide from one of the first videos I had seen from
this group of YouTubers. And they were like kind of like thrill-seeking adventure travelers. Like
kind of like what I was into. And I saw that slide and I knew I had to do it. And the first
time we came to Vancouver, I planned on doing that slide. And that's when I found out they
passed away. And so just being here and the moment of like physical exertion and being
overwhelmed with gratitude and thinking about all the stuff that Sam and I have done since the first
time we were in Vancouver in 2018 and how we've leveled up our skills. And I just feel overwhelming
gratitude to be alive and to be able to do the things that we do. And I feel like what I do and
I feel like adventure is the ultimate form of gratitude. But you know, it's not just about
what I do. It's about sharing your passion and love and zest for life. And these guys who passed
away, that's what they did. And they inspired me to do some awesome things. So I just feel like
I feel like we owe it to those who didn't make it, you know, we owe it to those.
I mean, we owe it to ourselves to live a full life, whatever you're passionate about, whatever you
are grateful for, sharing that with others to inspire others to do the same. And it's
it's pretty cool to live a life like this. I feel tremendously grateful. And thanks for watching.
Get out there, find your adventure and be infamous.
