Soft Homemade Tortilla Recipe

The tortilla can be made with lard, butter, or vegetable oil. Tortilla made with lard is soft and less chewy. This is because lard contains no water. Thus by sanding the cold lard into the flour, we will be able to make soft and flavourful tortillas. We will make Old Beijing chicken rolls in the next episode with the tortillas we made today.

all-purpose flour 310g (2 cups)
salt 4g (1 tsp)
baking powder 5g (1¼ tsp)
lard 50g (¼ cup)
warm water 150g (½ cup+2 tbsp)
