Are you already on Wikisana?
Hello and welcome to our format Naturmedizin.
I don't know how you are doing, but sometimes I think about my body and what has to happen
so that my body can complete all the tasks it has to do.
And what intelligence is behind it.
And if you haven't thought about it yet, I have an exciting, very sympathetic interview guest with me today.
He will open our consciousness a little further.
So please stay tuned, it will be exciting in this conversation.
I look forward to having you with us. See you soon, we'll start in a moment.
Dear Matthias, Dr. Med. Matthias Mayer, accident surgeon and orthopedist.
Welcome and nice to have you here.
Thank you.
I have already briefly introduced that I occasionally think about our body and what happens there.
I looked up numbers, data, facts on the Internet, how many chemical processes have to take place per second,
that everything works the way it works and I don't notice anything that something is going wrong.
And there is so much more than that.
And we have now decided to take a look at this conversation.
What would actually have to happen if you had to construct such a person or would?
Exactly.
First of all, this is just a thought experiment.
I'm curious to see what the future will bring.
But to show how complicated it really is and how crazy all the processes of our imagination are,
I thought we could try to build a person in our minds, what would be responsible for it.
Then you would start to think about what the outer form of a human being is like.
If you see people from the outside, you first see the skin.
And if you project this skin there, then we would only have a pile of skin lying on the ground.
That's not a human being yet.
Then we have to have something that aligns this pile of skin.
That means we need a framework.
And this framework would probably consist of bones.
That means we need a foot, lower legs, joints.
And then the thighs would have to fit into a pelvis, the spine and the skull.
And then we would have this upright construct.
But if you do that, it falls back together immediately, because there is nothing that holds the whole thing.
And then you would have to develop a holding device.
And that could be muscles and bands and capsules and fascia.
And this whole binding tissue construct, which somehow holds this whole skeleton, would be there.
But it would be rigid.
It would not move. There is no dynamics.
And nothing would work somehow.
That means we need an entity that somehow sends signals there,
so that this person can start to move and do something.
And these signals would have to go from the inside out.
So we need a central nervous system, a brain.
That has to bring a spinal cord through the spine.
And then from all nerve roots come fibers that control the whole body, so that we can then walk.
But this has not been done for a long time.
Because this person sees nothing.
He hears nothing.
He feels nothing.
That means we need sensory organs.
We need eyes.
The eyes have to be aligned so that they are parallel to the earth's surface.
Otherwise that would be difficult.
There are animals that can look in different directions.
That is rather unusual for us humans.
And probably should not be.
That means we need a sensory organ that receives light.
The pupil must be adaptable.
That depends on light sensitivity.
If it is dark now, the pupil must become large.
If it is bright, the pupil must become narrow again.
This reflex must be automatically, i.e. autonomously controlled by the nervous system.
This must hit a rear wall, where millions of receptors differ between black and white and colors.
The lens must constantly adapt if I want to look far away or if I want to look close.
These signals must go directly into the brain via the optic nerve.
There it must be switched a million times so that a picture is created at the back and I can only perceive the environment.
Then we need an ear.
We have to hear what's going on.
That means we need ears.
These ears are also very complicated.
In our ear we have multiple organ systems that control the ear itself,
the drum skin and the nerve signal transmission, but also the balance.
All of this must be right-angled.
There are practically no right angles in nature, except in the inner ear,
where our muscle forms a three-dimensional structure with 90 degrees.
This is important because lymph fluid is washed around in these 90 degree angles in this muscle
and all the receptors can cover all dimensions in one angle.
This is the only 90 degree angle known to me in all of nature in the inner ear.
All signals have to go back to the brain and the brain has to adapt my balance reflectorically.
Then we have the problem that we also need a circuit.
The nutrients have to go everywhere.
We need a heart.
That's why arteries have to get into the entire circuit.
All areas of the body are affected by hands and organs, hormones and drugs.
Nutrients and oxygen have to go everywhere.
That means that we have an arterial system that needs a certain amount of blood pressure.
On the other hand, we need veins that bring the whole thing back.
But it's not enough if it's just a circuit.
If the heart pumps something away and it comes back and it's a simple circuit,
then this oxygen is consumed and nothing else comes in at all.
So we need something that replenishes the oxygen and what also replenishes the need for nutrients.
So we have to breathe.
For this we need a nose, mouth and a throat and an air tube that splits into two bronchi,
which then splits into many bronchioles, which then splits into many small bronchioles,
which then have small air sacs everywhere, which are so thin that they only have one cell layer,
that oxygen can pass through and get into a lung circuit,
which constantly fills the heart with new oxygen and the old one exhales.
Coincidentally, what we exhale is the nutrition of plants.
And plants have it the other way around, that they produce oxygen, which we have.
So it's a brilliant interplay between the plant world and the animal world,
that they offer each other nutrition.
A synergy, so to speak.
A synergy, for which the whole concept is actually brilliantly built.
Now it is so that the cells naturally have a metabolism.
They need nutrients.
For this, this blood circulation is now intended.
But then they also need this metabolism.
If they need it, they need minerals, vitamins and everything they need to cover all the enzymes.
And then they will also produce waste.
And then the waste has to go somewhere.
And to bring it directly into the blood may not be so cheap either.
If the veins would absorb it, the veins would be open somewhere and then it could bleed.
That would not be so good either.
So we have to think about how we get all the waste from all the cells.
There are 30 to 100 billion cells in our body.
Back and to excretion.
And that happens via a lymphatic system.
So we have small open lymph vessels everywhere,
which suck in all the waste everywhere like little vacuum cleaners.
And then we put the whole thing into a lymphatic system and bring it back up into the veins,
so that it can slowly be excreted through the kidneys again.
And so we have a disposal system.
A recycling system, so to speak.
Of course, these are just some of the things you have to consider.
Now you would also have to think about this person.
He already has some things.
But what he may be missing, if he now leans on the fire,
is the ability to quickly withdraw the hand.
That means he needs sensitivity.
The skin must be equipped with small, fine receptors
that bring nerve signals to the brain.
But because that's a way that has to be switched,
and before you pull your hand back from a burning fire or a hot stove,
you need a faster reflex.
And that's why these danger reflexes,
when something is hot or painful,
this quick withdrawal is a monosynaptic reflex.
For example, a nerve signal comes through the finger into the spinal cord
and is immediately directed into the antibody.
And if I have a stretch of the body and then offer a hot surface,
it would be good if the antibody is controlled
and I can initiate this antibody movement.
That means the stretching movement must be stopped immediately
and the antibody movement over the other muscle must be initiated immediately,
within a short tenth of a second.
That's the reflex that goes over the spinal cord without the brain doing anything.
That's hot or painful or a socket.
And that's something that's meant to survive, of course.
Then we have a person who can't really interact with the environment yet.
That means all the plants and earth and animals,
everything is covered with a microbiome.
Viruses and bacteria and fungi and parasites are everywhere.
That means the person can't get rid of it.
We have to cover this person with a massive amount of bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi
so that he fits into this environment, so that he can adapt at all.
We have, depending on what estimates you read,
I think 1972 was the estimate that we have ten times more bacteria in the body than cells.
I recently read an article that this is rather 1 to 1 or rather 1 to 1.5,
that the bacteria are only slightly in excess.
I didn't count it, I can't say it, but of course there are a lot of bacteria
that are then excreted with the stool.
But they constantly form new ones, because we also eat.
And in the diet there is always a population of bacteria.
And that's also important, because you have to think about
that we once created the barriers on the skin,
but this skin goes directly into the lips, into the mucous membrane,
into the skin, into the throat, into the esophagus, through the intestine
and then down again into the skin.
This is a common blanket that separates the outside from the inside.
And these barriers have to be protected at all costs.
This is one of the most important tasks, to keep these barriers healthy,
so that I can separate the outside from the inside.
But if I don't have that anymore, then things can come from the outside to the inside
that don't belong to the inside.
And then we have a problem that certain processes start to be disturbed.
And the intestinal mucous membrane is affected by many things.
If we have a bad diet or if we smoke,
the mucous membrane of the throat and the bronchi is damaged.
If we drink and take antibiotics, we know that we damage the microbiome,
which is among other things there for the barriers to remain intact.
On the other hand, it also makes sense that the barriers depict our immune system.
That's why 80% of our immune system is located in the intestine,
because it represents the most important barrier to the outside.
And because it is not as mechanically stable as the skin,
there is even more in the intestine, so that these substances can be repelled immediately,
if they don't belong there.
If we take something that doesn't belong to us,
for example a food poisoning,
then we have to incorporate a reflex, so that the detoxification works immediately.
That means that a signal has to come from the stomach to the brain,
because something is not right.
My brain, on the other hand, has to reverse the reflex,
just like this retreat from the fire,
so that the swallowing reflex runs in reverse.
And that's what we know as erbrechen.
Erbrechen is basically a kind of detoxification.
To get rid of something that is not good for me.
But that is controlled autonomously.
I don't have to regulate that myself, thank God.
The same applies on the other hand.
If I say, for example, that I want to emigrate to Mexico,
then I have the problem that there are other bacteria in Mexico than here in Germany.
But in order to adapt to this new environment,
I have to change my microbiome.
And the best way to do that
is to throw the microbiome out at the other end.
What we know as a travel disease or travel diarrhea
is not a real disease in my eyes, at least.
But it is an attempt of the body to adapt to the new environment.
The bacteria that I no longer need are pushed out.
And through the diet comes the new settlement with the bacteria
that are suitable for the environment.
And that's why it's always self-limiting.
But that's a process that is also controlled by the autonomous nervous system.
And that's why it's important that the autonomous nervous system works.
And that, in turn, is integrated into this vertebral structure.
We have the sympathetic at the chest and upper lumbar vertebrae as two strings.
The parasympathetic is at the top of the cervical vertebrae and at the bottom of the sphincter.
And from there, the nerve fibers are brought everywhere.
For example, last week I had a patient who had exactly this problem.
He was on the road in South America.
And he had this flushing of the old microbiome for weeks.
And it didn't stop.
He got antibiotics and medication to prevent this diarrhea.
Which is understandable.
You don't want to travel through South America for weeks with diarrhea.
But the question of why it doesn't stop is also interesting.
And in my eyes it is very important to look at the structure of the spine.
Because that's where the nerves come from, which normally control this process.
And then you always find some problems.
You can solve that.
And normally that's self-limiting again.
And one interesting thing that may still be mentioned here is that we have a blind arm.
Many people actually think that it is superfluous.
That's why it is often operated on.
Unfortunately.
If you have abdominal pain, that's one of the fastest things you can do.
But it does have a function.
Otherwise it wouldn't be there.
One thought, you know it from birds, is that it is first of all an immune organ.
And secondly, it can be a retreat for such situations.
Where the person wants to go from one place to another.
And gets into another environment there.
That the bacteria that are originally found in my abdominal tract have a retreat.
While the re-settlement can take place via the intestine.
And when I go back to my old place.
Then this whole counter-reaction can take place much more fluidly.
Without me having such a strong reaction again.
That's why it is often the case, for example in countries like Egypt or Mexico.
Such southern countries, where there is a different microbiome landscape.
Has this diarrhea disease.
When you come back, you usually don't have it anymore.
Because the re-settlement can take place much faster.
And if you want to build a person, that's something you might think about.
Now we have another problem.
We want this person to grow and thrive.
Then he has to be able to wake up and sleep.
That means he has to be able to adapt to light.
Day and night.
For that we need hormones.
And these hormones have to come from somewhere.
And they have to go somewhere and do something.
And they have to be controlled.
And we have to produce the right amount at the right time.
So that we achieve the right reaction.
Growth has to be controlled.
It also has to be controlled so that it stops at the right time.
It is also a miracle that two cells merge.
And from that four, then eight and then sixteen become.
The whole thing becomes more and more.
Without a nervous system existing.
Then you ask yourself, how is that even possible?
How does this cell know what it has to do?
The genetic stories run automatically.
But why do they do that?
If we want to build a person, we have to take that into account.
And then it starts to get so complicated.
And there are so many things that go into it.
That at some point this overview stops and you give up.
And I think that should actually be the quintessence of this mind game.
To understand that if you try to understand a person.
So many processes take place.
And in the 50 billion cells everything at the same time.
That this is such a large amount of information.
That we as humans can't even understand that.
No matter how long I do medicine.
I will never understand all the details that make up a person.
And there are many other things to it.
Thoughts, thoughts, emotions, interpersonal relationships, feelings.
These are all things that somehow still belong to a person integratively.
But to build it all in such a way that it becomes a functioning organic system.
Is a miracle in my eyes.
I see it the same way.
As I said, I have dealt with it for years.
With, I say now, quite superficially.
With various numbers.
What has to happen.
So that man can just go through his day every day.
And also through the night.
And was extremely impressed.
And I always think it's a shame.
Because the fewest people think about it.
That's why I'm very grateful.
Or that you organized it that way.
What has to happen there.
That you realize.
Oh God.
What do I actually have there?
And how do I deal with it?
Because I just find that sometimes so fatal.
How do we deal with our physical body?
How do we deal with this great intelligence?
What do we have available there?
And what do we fight our lives with?
How do we deal with it?
What do we do with it?
Nutritionally.
It sounds so fragile.
There are so many processes that have to take place.
What if I do something wrong?
But thank God I don't have to worry about it.
Because it all happens automatically.
In every living being.
And in fact it is so.
The better this intrinsic system works.
The healthier I stay.
And the more disruptive factors come in.
The more we come from this felt organized chaos.
Into a disorganized chaos.
And that's something where certain disruptive factors can cause problems.
Which can have very different effects.
And that would be the topic of the next video.
How to create a function in a large, organic, complicated, dynamic, but self-regulating system.
And what happens if you take this function slowly?
And which disruptive factors have which effects?
And how can you turn the whole thing back?
One question always arises.
If you describe the cell division and so on.
Now there are cases where people are born with various disorders.
Where things don't work the way they normally do.
What is this all about?
I can't really answer that.
I can't say for sure.
But if you look at how everything is normally thought.
Or how it should work.
Then something is not right.
If someone comes into the world who does not meet these conditions.
This happens in all natural areas.
As far as I know.
But I think it is much more common in humans.
Than for example in sharks.
Or in beetles.
Or in other plants.
If they come into life in a healthy, natural environment.
Then they are also healthy.
That's a ...
Also with humans.
We are constantly striving to stay healthy.
My nervous system does nothing else all day.
Except for the regeneration of tissue.
This is an intrinsic process.
Which is programmed into us.
This is always the natural, automatic state of health.
Everything else is not desired.
And if something happens.
No matter if it is now born.
Or if it is developed in the course of life.
Then somewhere there is a disruptive factor.
Where it is.
It can look different.
There is a study of Canadian pregnant women.
They examined the mother's milk.
And they found over 100 cancer-causing substances in the mother's milk.
And if they are already in the mother's milk.
With other non-symptomatic people.
You can only imagine.
That the blood can not be completely disruptive.
And if that is what nourishes this embryo.
That maybe here and there something is not quite the way it is thought of by nature.
It's not quite trivial.
We do not live in a world without toxicity.
We somehow accept that.
In different proportions.
We will pass that on.
If it is in our body.
And to detoxify it.
And to separate it.
Is always the mechanism that is desired.
Yes.
But I think what we have aspired to.
Now in this conversation.
I think that should be achieved.
You have done it so well.
With these many functions.
Which we never think about during the day.
And even if we would think about it.
Then we would come to our limits very quickly.
I had the idea for the short term.
With the AI.
Which is in our mouths today.
Whether it is able at some point.
This concept of human or human organism.
Even animal organism.
It does not stay with humans.
Whether it is able at some point.
To calculate that.
But then we have to be surprised.
What do you think?
In theory I would say no.
I think the human being can create even more.
And the intelligence.
Another form.
I do not want to say of life.
To develop something.
Which already starts to think intensely.
That is very amazing.
But to create something.
Which is so complicated.
And which works from the inside.
Without doing anything from the outside.
I can not imagine that.
That would be.
Some would say divine.
And we are not divine.
For me nature is such a primordial force.
That we as humans can never reproduce it.
No matter what we do.
I can not imagine that.
And that may be quite good.
I think that makes sense.
Thank God.
We have not really talked about it yet.
What is your field?
I have introduced.
You are an accident surgeon and orthopedist.
There are already various conversations.
Various interviews on QS24.
I would definitely recommend you to watch.
With Matthias.
Where you present your approach.
Your thoughts.
Where most or very many diseases.
Actually stir in the cause.
As far as the physical body is concerned.
Which is totally enlightening for me.
But also gave a completely new insight.
That you do not start there.
Where the symptom appears.
That is not visible or noticeable.
Your approach is from the autonomous nervous system.
Or the structural order of the spine.
That you best start there.
When you regenerate a large part of diseases.
It is at least part of the solution.
I imagine every disease or diagnosis.
Like a kind of puzzle picture.
Let's say I have two people with back pain.
Back pain is this puzzle picture.
It has different parts of puzzle pieces.
But with one with back pain.
These parts are not distributed equally.
The structure of the spine is very large.
If I can repair that.
Then the symptom is gone.
With the next one.
An emotional component is larger.
Then it would be sensible.
Emotionally to solve problems.
Which bring the autonomic nervous system into a stressful situation.
With the next one.
Nutrition is a larger puzzle piece.
The spine is smaller.
If the spine is a very small piece of the puzzle.
From the overall picture.
Then I can do a lot.
But not much happens.
If the spine is large.
And the rest is marginal.
Then there are spectacular successes.
Where after one or two treatments.
Everything goes away.
That's a lot of fun.
But not everyone is the same.
Because everyone has a different puzzle piece distribution.
I wanted to mention that.
That the viewers who see you for the first time.
That they know what your field is.
Where can they find you on the internet?
I have a website.
The practice is called Impulse Health Management.
There is a newsletter on this website.
You can sign up there.
I will share new thoughts, new ideas or parts of the book every week.
Or whatever is going on right now.
Maybe I have a patient of the week.
Who is interesting.
You can sign up there at any time.
Even if you are not a patient with me.
In Ulm we are calm.
And there is the practice.
I definitely sign up right away.
When we are done with our conversations.
I think your approach is great.
I think your point of view on people is fantastic.
Your humility towards people.
Towards creation.
Let's put it that way.
That can only lead to something good.
Thank you.
I can only recommend the viewers to watch the episodes on QS24.
With you.
To watch them.
It expands the world view.
I think so too.
Thank you very much.
I am looking forward to our next conversations.
You are welcome.
Thank you for being here.
I hope we have inspired you.
I hope that you have become as humble as I am.
Not in a negative way.
But in a positive way.
For your organism.
For your body.
And that you take care of it.
I look forward to seeing you next time.
All the best.
