The Story of the Life of Buddha Thich Nhat Hanh
and the Message for Our Times
Who is Buddha? Who can become a Buddha?
Let's see the story of the life of Buddha Thich Nhat Hanh
to understand that from a brave prince
who gave up his busy life in the palace
to go on a journey to find the treasure
full of difficulties and suffering
finally, he found the truth of the universe
and spread the Dharma
and leave the message for our times today
So how was the journey from a prince
through the process of suffering
to the achievement of the Buddha?
And what did he leave for us?
Today, let's go to find out together!
The dream of the birth of a benefactor
In the Kingdom of Katila Vet
today in Nepal
in the 6th century BC
Queen Maza was the wife of the German Emperor Tinh Phan
At that time, the day of the birth of the first child
Queen Maza had a very special dream
In the dream, she saw a bright and beautiful light
shining on her
and from the light appeared a white elephant
with 6 legs
The elephant came close and then disintegrated into her body
She told the dream to the king
when she woke up the next morning
The king summoned all the nobles
They said that
that was the sign that
the queen would give birth to a benefactor
After that, Queen Maza
gave birth to the prince of the Kingdom of Katila Vet
in a gentle way
Unfortunately, the queen died 7 days later
The prince was named Tath-Dat-Da
which means the one who will achieve his goal
Many nobles came to meet
and wish for the new born prince
Among them was A-Tu-Da
who was the former teacher of the king
He was a hard worker
and achieved many achievements
A-Tu-Da later realized the greatness
of the future of the prince
The prophecy of the life of the prince
and the escape from the world of suffering
When Tath-Dat-Da was 12 years old
the king summoned all the nobles
to predict the future of the prince
They all said that
Prince Tath-Dat-Da would decide
according to the hard work
If you see the signs of old age, disease, death
or meet a poor prisoner
and don't want your child to become a prisoner
the criminal king arranged a way
for the prince to be loyal to the kingdom
like a soldier
He issued a strict palace ban
prohibiting the use of the word death
or the word suffering in the palace
so as not to give the prince any concept
of the pain of the world
Prince Tath-Dat-Da
separated anything
and became a prisoner
Therefore, the prince could only enjoy
the life of slavery in the palace
The prince grew up and became a strong man
trained in combat skills
and married the princess of the neighboring country
named Zazu-Da-Na
at the age of 16
Human beings are short-sighted
but the last resort
will still decide everything
Although being strictly isolated
everything can inspire the prisoner
In the end, what is destined for the future
of the young prince
still follows the order of the day
In the life of the royal palace
Tath-Dat-Da began to dream
of exploring the world outside the palace
He decided to go on a trip
to visit his kingdom and people
There is no reason
to prevent this wish
The king was in a hurry
and prepared perfectly
He carefully planned the trip
and planned everything
on the journey that the prince would go through
Turn everything into happiness
rich and beautiful
Bad or sad scenes
will be removed
to prevent the prince from seeing
the four symbols pointed out
by common people
old, sick, dead
or meet a poor prisoner
But all the protection of the king
has become useless
when the prince travels
Tath-Dat-Da's horse carriage
has arrived
on the same day as Tath-Dat-Da
When he was wandering in a small town
Prince Tath-Dat-Da accidentally saw
the face of an old man
That is the first symbol
in the prediction of the priests
the symbol of the old man
Tath-Dat-Da was surprised
and asked about that man
Although he saw
a sick man
it made him feel difficult to explain
That is the second symbol
that the priests said
sick
Finally, the prince met a funeral
on the river bank
and a poor prisoner
who gave up all the fun
to achieve inner peace
and eternal happiness
So the last two symbols
are dead and the presence
of a poor prisoner
appeared in front of Tath-Dat-Da
The peace from the face of the priest
was a blessing for Tath-Dat-Da
He asked the meaning of all these
The horse carriage
told the prince about
the reality of life
that should have been known for a long time
Back to the palace
Tath-Dat-Da asked the king
to leave the palace
and become a priest
to find the truth of life
Because the hidden seeds
were planted in the prince's heart
when he met the reality of society
The prince was depressed,
frustrated and depressed
The truth of life
is the truth that needs to be found
The prince felt very painful
and disappointed
What the prince intended
did not succeed
The king ordered soldiers
to strengthen the defense
around the palace
and organize more fun
to make fun of the prince
hoping to make his son
Prince Yajudala
gave birth to his first son
His name is La-Hau-Na
which means freedom
Tath-Dat-Da saw
the meaningless life
and decided to leave the horse
with the help of the priest
Sakna
The prince woke up in the middle of the night
and saw his wife for the last time
He got on the horse and set off
In front of the palace gate
the prince cut his hair
Sakna
The journey was full of hardship
to find the truth of life
of Tath-Dat-Da and Yajudala
After leaving the palace
Tath-Dat-Da went to the palace
the capital of the Ma-Kiet-Da country
in ancient India
where he met some priests
who were meditating in caves on the mountain
The prince chose according to two phrases
which are impermanent and non-permanent
non-permanent
Each phrase is three years
and successfully reached the highest boundary
but the prince felt that it was not the way
so Tath-Dat-Da gave up
Then he sat under the Bodhi tree
in the forest of Uruvela
and prayed that he would not go out of the pre-determined state
if he did not achieve enlightenment
He faced the interference
from a demon called Mara
She used a thousand tricks
to seduce him
but could not change the firm will of Tath-Dat-Da
When she saw Tath-Dat-Da
breaking out of the prison of lust
and deceit
Mara became extremely angry
and sent eight demons
with weapons to attack Thikamuni
but he still remained
in an immobile state
After being defeated
and realized that he would not be able
to interfere with Tath-Dat-Da's
illegal power
Mara persuaded him and said
that although he had won
no one could witness this
Tath-Dat-Da touched the ground
and said that the ground would be the witness
The ground was shaking
as if to answer
that it would witness Tath-Dat-Da's glory
From that moment
Tath-Dat-Da continued his meditation
and finally achieved enlightenment
His wisdom was revealed
and he reached the Buddha's level
after 49 days of meditation
under the Bodhi tree
Later, he was revered
as Buddha Thikamuni
who accomplished the mission
of spreading the Dharma
to save sentient beings
Right after he attained the Buddha's level
he began his mission
of spreading the Dharma
to save sentient beings
Buddha Thikamuni taught the first Dharma
to his previous disciples
five monks in Benares
Gradually
the number of his disciples
increased to 80,000
When the Buddha found out
that his son had become a Buddha
he invited Buddha Thikamuni
to join him
and blamed him for begging
while he was so rich
that he could feed thousands of people
Buddha Thikamuni explained to his father
that it was a requirement
of his training system
During this time
the brother of Buddha Thikamuni's parents
Ananda, who was to be conferred as a prince
and had a promise with Princess Tondali
decided to become a disciple
of Buddha Thikamuni
His sons
Lala Haula and his mother
became disciples of Buddha Thikamuni
However
there were also harassments
Devadatta,
Buddha Thikamuni's brother
tried to kill him many times
because of jealousy
but Buddha Thikamuni forgave him
Angulimala, the headless robber
tried to kill him
but finally
Buddha Thikamuni's compassion
helped him recover
and become Buddha Thikamuni's disciple
We can see through the story
Buddha Thikamuni's compassion
can solve everything
On his birthday
in 483 B.C.
Buddha Thikamuni
taught his disciples
one last time before entering Japan
Buddha Thikamuni's words
about the rebirth
and the rebirth of a future Buddha
In many stories
Buddha Thikamuni
left a message
about the rebirth
and the rebirth of a future Buddha
to save all sentient beings
The Buddha wrote
After 50 billion years
Buddha Thikamuni
made a vow
to save all sentient beings
The Eight Precepts
have many meanings
The rebirth of a future Buddha
or the rebirth of a future Buddha
and the rebirth of a future Buddha
symbolize the Udambara flowers
A small white flower
with thin petals
clear and white like snow
surrounded by light
can bloom on any material
that ordinary flowers
can't bloom on
such as copper, iron, glass,
glue, fruit, plant
These flowers are preserved
and never wither
Huệ Lam âm Ngĩa wrote
Udambara flowers are a mispronunciation
of the ancient language
Udambara
means the holy flower
This is a heavenly flower
There is no such flower in the world
If the Buddha's reincarnation
appeared in the human world
this flower would appear
thanks to the great virtue and great kindness of the Buddha
Quyền Bốn Kinh Pháp Hòa Văn Cú wrote
Udambara flowers
only bloom once every 3,000 years
when the Buddha's reincarnation appears
The Buddha also wrote
that the reincarnation of the Buddha
is the ideal king
who will rule the world
not by force but by justice
Those who are kind to others
will have a chance to meet the reincarnation of the Buddha
regardless of their religion
Buddhism, Christianity,
or any other religion
The Buddha's words
have inspired
Udambara flowers
and Udambara flowers
all over the world
A Taiwanese monk
Thích Chứng Thông wrote
When the Buddha's reincarnation
appears
When the Buddha's reincarnation
appears
We are happy to meet the Buddha
After listening to the story
of the life of Buddha Thich Nhat Hanh
and the message for our generation
How do you feel
about the hard journey
to find the truth of life of Udambara
as well as the last message of the day
